"Ah, okay then… to you feel good enough to come with me on the job?" Derlik moved to sit down, legs folding as he looked to Nik.

He thought about it for a moment. "I guess so, yeah."

"Okay, then. Smoke, Twili, will you two want to come?" Derlik asked, looking over.

Smoke thought about it for a moment. "Mm…yeah?" He said, looking over at Derlik and Nik.

"Okay!" Derlik gently placed his hands against Smoke and Nik's cheeks as he usually did, to shrink them.

Nik took a deep breath as he was shrunk down, and Smoke merely wriggled faintly.

Derlik lifted Nik up to be resting on his shoulder, holding Smoke in both hands before offering him to Twili.
"You'll come too, right?" Twili nodded, carefully taking Smoke in her hands.

Nik held onto Derlik's collar so that he wouldn't fall, quiet. Smoke purred softly, leaning into Twili's hands.

Derlik moved to stand, then, a hand cupped loosely around Nik to make sure he didn't fall. Twili smiled, holding Smoke close and gently rubbing his head with her thumb. Derlik hadn't put Nik in his pocket because of Arthur, of course. He didn't need to scare the man like that.

(ajdhdhgd if he had forgotten and put Nik in his pocket Nik would have flipped the fuck out)

Nik shifted faintly, holding onto Derlik's collar still. Smoke kept purring, peeking out from Twili's hands happily.

(Nik, staring at his obviously Extremely Tortured ex: WHAT)

"Situated good?" Derlik asked of Nik. Twili giggled some when she saw Smoke peeking out, lowering her hands some so he could look over the edge better.

(Nik being simultaneously pissed at Derlik but also like. Weirdly pleased lmao)

Nik nodded a little. "Yeah." Smoke purred again, peeking down at the ground for a moment and then steadying himself a little.

(I could honestly see him being more upset that Derlik forgot and put them together than, you know, Arthur being there lol)

"Good. Ready to head out?" Derlik wrapped an arm protectively around Twili, pulling her close. She moved to be cupping her hand over Smoke now, rubbing his cheek with a nod.

(yeah kinda lmao. Gtg now sorry)

Nik nodded. "Mhm." Smoke mewed softly, rubbing into her hand happily.

Derlik nodded in turn, a short quick motion, before walking forward. Twili kept in step with him, and soon the world was twisting around as they were brought into the human world again. Derlik would try to avoid bars, for now, but he'd have to take them to one eventually. Twili took her hand off from over Smoke, choosing to continue petting him.

Smoke mewed softly, pressing up into the petting happily. Nik blinked a little, still holding onto Derlik's collar as the god walked along.

Twili smiled, lightly touching Smoke's nose with the tip of her finger in a playful manner. Derlik smiled some as he watched the two, looking down at Nik to see his reaction.

Smoke blinked at her, cocking his head at her in confusion. Nik smiled a little bit, quiet.

Twili giggled silently, moving to lightly touch Smoke's nose again. Derlik smiled some himself, content.

Smoke purred happily.

Soon, Twili moved from Derlik's side to go play with Smoke, holding a piece of grass in front of him and twirling it around.

Smoke leapt and batted at the grass, tail twitching faintly.

(wait is smoke in human form but smol or in kitten form?)

(Either form works aha, I didn't really have one or the other in mind)

Twili smiled, trailing the grass along her palm.

(ok lol. Let's say he's in kitten form)

Smoke mewed, pouncing on the grass, tail still twitching back and forth.

Twili smiled, running the grass over Smoke's back.
