Twili picked up rubbing Arthur's back again, keeping him close. She was the one who was going to watch him now, and she wouldn't let him get hurt.

Arthur let out a faint breath.

Twili let out her own breath, moving to write something.
I'm going home.

Nik read the message, nodding, eyes flickering to Derlik.

"Do you want to head back too?" Derlik asked. He stood to let Twili out, the girl scooting out of the booth with Arthur held to her chest.

Nik shrugged a little, holding Smoke gently.

(How do we want Assface to get Nik?)

"It's up to you either way." Derlik moved to sit back down as Twili disappeared back to the clearing with Arthur.

(Well, Derlik and Ass are kinda buddy buddy with each other, so I figured Ass could come down and ask to borrow Derlik's 'new toy.' Perhaps we could use it as a chance for Derlik to protect Nik.)

He petted Smoke gently.

(Mmm alright)

Derlik left his head on the table, not looking up at Nik.

Nik was quiet, still petting his cat.

"I… I think I'm going to head back," Derlik said, moving to stand. This was all ruined, because of him yet again.

He looked up. "Alright." He got up, holding onto Smoke.

Derlik hesitated, then offered his hand to Nik so he could get them out of their.

Nik took Derlik's hand, quiet.

Derlik was quiet as well as he took a few steps. The world twisted, and they were back. He let go of Nik's hand after that, stepping from his side.

Nik glanced up at him for a moment, then away again.

Derlik didn't look to Nik, moving to sit on his boulder.

Nik sat down as well, letting Smoke go so that the kitten could explore.

Twili was still dealing with Arthur, sitting just inside the tree line.

Smoke wandered the clearing, quiet.

Twili looked up as she noticed Smoke, smiling some to him.

Smoke mewed softly, padding over to her.

Twili smiled, holding Arthur in one hand and offering the other to pat Smoke's head gently.

Smoke mewed again, nuzzling her hand.

Twili smiled at her friend, scratching gently behind his ears.
