Az leans into him, silent.

"Im sorry" Tyler mutters

Az shakes his head.

"I am broken" he said softly

“No, you’re not.”

"Then why am I like this?" He mutters.

“Everyone is different, okay? You’re amazing as you are.”

"I…I am?" He looks at Carmen hopefully, tears dripping from his eyes

Az nods.

Tyler smiled, "thank you"

He smiles at Ty.

"Im sorry for crying"

“It’s fine. Don’t be sorry.”

"O-ok… can you read to me?" He asked quietly

Az smiles and nods, “I’ll find a book. We’ll look at the manga later, okay?”

"Ok." He smiles back.

Az wanders away and comes back with a book, “Come on. There’s a space over there.”

"Ok… can I lay my head on your lap? … I might fall asleep" Tyler fidgets with his hands.

Az nods, holding his arm out.

Tyler leans against Carmen. "You make me feel safe"

Az smiles, pulling him close.

Tyler smiles, "story?"

Az nods and flips the book open and starts reading quietly to him.

Tyler falls asleep against Carmen.

Az smiles at him, running his hand down the other’s back, looking at him.
