"i knew that would come up sooner or later," he let out a sigh, looking forward.
"I don't want this…i don't want this life and this restriction..all the standards. I would rather someone with a big heart take the position then i. I just, don't like it. I don't want it…i want to choose who i marry and what i do with my life."
I suppose that makes sense. I never thought about it much, though. Marius sighed softly and held a bit tighter to Tristian. I've been raised to do it, you know? Never really was allowed to think about anything else. Any time I mentioned anything about the stars, I got shut down very quickly. I never really want to do it, but I grew accustomed to the idea, I suppose.
He let out a soft chuckle.
"yeah.. when I was little i used to pretend i was a butler, or pretend that i was a knight and it wasn't until later and i was a little bit older, that i realized that i wanted to do something other then what was pre set out for me."
Marius nodded a bit, still not showing his face. I wasn't allowed to consider a life outside of the prince hood, so I stopped considering. It wasn't really a choice that I could make. But you know… I'll have to figure something else out now, won't I?
He smiled slightly "you know, we may not be the same people, but we have pretty similar situations. Maybe it was a good thing that we ran into each other in the garden."
Well, you could have brought me along in a different way than throwing me over the garden walls. Marius huffed indignantly. While I suppose I wouldn't have left willingly, you didn't have to kidnap me.
"Oh really now?.could i have? Would you have listened to me if i hadnt?" He asked with a raised eye brow and amused expression.
Absolutely not. You didn't really need to bring me in the first place, you know. I gain nothing from telling them where you went. Marius shrugged a bit.
"Meh, to be honest i just wanted to continue our talk without being dragged away by guards and yet here we are, running away together."
Marius huffed, not responding for several seconds. I don't know. I'm sure we could have found a gate or something so you wouldn't have to throw me.
Blinks.
"Naaaaah"he chuckled a little bit after saying that.
Marius rolled his eyes, although Tristian wouldn't have been able to see. There's plenty of gates around. You pretty much took the longest possible route.
"Gates are predictable! They wouldn't expect someone to just jump the wall now would they?" He let out a chuckle after saying that.
But it's less painful and much faster. Marius sighed and shook his head. There were better ways to get out.
"yes but by the time we get to it they would have been right behind us and been shutting the gate and all that jazz and it was just easier and funnier to go over the wall."
'Funnier'? Tch… maybe to you. Marius huffed. It wasn't very funny to be the one carelessly tossed over a wall.
(Pfft i meant funner oops)
(It's your turn to reply lol)
"funnier? I said funner, do you have hearing probelms?"
He tilted his head at Marius. Not meaning it as an insult.
'Funner' isn't a real word, and besides, it was neither fun nor funny. It makes no real difference. Marius rolled his eyes and held tighter to Tristian.
"tomaytoes tamato." He chuckled a little bit. "It does too make a real difference but whatever." He noticed the tighter grip.
Yeah, yeah. Are we almost to the city? You slowed down. Marius looked up over his shoulder to see, his new lavender hair already disheveled and falling into his face.
