Kyle started having an internal battle about whether he should tell her or not and decided he should, "Uh, I don't know my parents. I'm an orphan."
Kyle started having an internal battle about whether he should tell her or not and decided he should, "Uh, I don't know my parents. I'm an orphan."
"Oh, that's awful, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked such a personal question." Marlee looked at the ground, ashamed.
"Hey, it's fine. As long as you don't tell anyone or look at me differently then I don't care." Kyle shrugged and lifted he head up so he could smile at her.
"I promise I would never. Thanks for being so open with me." Marlee returned his smile.
Again, Kyle shrugged, "It's no problem. Not like I have anyone to tell so it's… nice to finally let someone know."
Wow, no ones ever been this open with me before. Marlee smiled to herself, and then blushed.
Kyle slipped his hands into his pockets, fidgeting somewhat nervously. Even though he hadn't given her the whole truth it was enough for now.
Marlee looked around at the beautiful town. Wow, it's so nice out today!
"Do you… do you always go to the park?" Kyle asked.
"Not that often, usually only if I'm walking my dogs."
"How many dogs do you have?"
"Ten, but it's about to be twelve, we're taking in two new puppies soon."
Kyle’s jaw dropped, “T-Ten?”
"Yeah, perks of living on a farm." Marlee let out a laugh.
"Wow… I don't have any pets." He rubbed a this neck.
"Really? That stinks." Marlee replied with a light frown.
Kyle shrugged, “Its… against the rules…” He muttered.
"Oh that sucks." Marlee said.
“Not really,” He shrugged again, “If I can’t I can’t and I don’t dwell on that.”
"Oh, well that makes sense. Maybe you could come over and meet my pets someday?" Marlee asked, hopeful.
"Sure, I'd love too." He smiled a little.
"Do you wanna come over now?" She asked.
Kyle checked the time on his phone and frowned deeply, "Sorry, as much as I want to I can't. I have to be home in five."
"Oh, well maybe over the weekend." Marlee smiled.
He nodded, "Yeah, definitely."
