"Awesome!" She widened her smile.
"Awesome!" She widened her smile.
He smiled back, "I can't wait."
Marlee blushed. "I should probably get your number."
“Hm? Right, yeah. I’ll put it in your phone.” He ran a hand through his hair.
Marlee handed her phone to Kyle. "Here."
“Thanks.” He gave her a smile and quickly created a new contact for himself, sending a message so he knew the number before handing the phone back.
"I can walk you home if you'd like." Marlee offered.
His eyes widened and he shook his head, “No, it’s fine. It’ll be better if you didn’t… I’m sorry, really I am.”
"Oh no, it's okay, uh, would you wanna walk me home?" Marlee asked.
"Okay… but we have to be quick." He said, checking the time again.
"Okay!" Marlee smiled.
"Lead the way."
Marlee started walking towards her house. "So, I never asked, do you have any hobbies?"
"Not really, no. I… I love…" He sighed, "Painting… but don't have the materials to do so."
"Really? I have a whole lot more than what I need at home. Since you're nice enough to walk me home, I can give some to you." Marlee smiled.
"What? No, no I couldn't, Marlee, seriously."
"Seriously Kyle, I have way more than I need, plus I've been more into sewing. Please let me do this for you."
He bot his lip and frowned slightly, "Fine… thank-you…but just this once…"
Marlee smiled. "No problem."
Kyle didn't know what to say after that. He wasn't good with people and no one had ever been this nice to him in a long time.
Marlee noticed the silence that had just been created. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I just don't know what else to say… I'm not a people person if you couldn't tell." He smiled sheepishly.
"Ah, I gotcha." Marlee replied. His hands right there. Oh no that stupid Marlee, you'd move to quick!
He sighed, “Yeah, sorry,” He looked up at the sky, “How do you get good with people without the whole peopling thing….?”
"That's a great question. How do you get an actual sane personality?" Marlee asked.
