"I always do. Gotta keep my muscles toned." She nods and took a bite of cereal, as some movie played.

Storm nodded as well, eating a bagel he had picked up from his old work place.
"So. You quit your job yet?" She asked, just to make sure that everything was in the clear. "We open at 9:00 but only a few early stragglers ever come in. More people arrive at about noon, and then it stays busy rest of the day."
"Yeup. I did when I grabbed breakfast. My old boss was pissed. Turns out I was the only one who actually did shit there." He shrugged, not caring.
"And sounds good. I'll be ready."
She laughed a bit. "Alright. You got a change of clothes and stuff? I'd go change now."
Storm nodded, undoing the knot of his trash bag and pulling out a change of clothes. He had gotten good at fitting all of his possessions into bags like these. He had done it a lot as a kid, and it showed.
"Go change in my room." She jutted a thumb back behind her. Her bedroom door was still open, and one could see her cat all laid out on the bed.
"K then." He stood up, taking his clothes into the bedroom and changing.
"How's this?" he asked, coming out in plain black ripped jeans and red dress shirt and combat boots.
In her room, there was a LOT of BDSM stuff hanging on the hooks that dangled off her door, behind her bras and few purses. There was a few lingerie sets in her drawer as well and other kinky things, if anyone were to go looking for them. Whips, paddles, and bondage ropes were what hung on the door. She looked him over as he came out. "Ya look good. Sorta like a hipster though, minus the flannel."
Storm snorted a bit when she commented on his outfit. He wasn't really fazed by her BDSM items, seeing as he himself had a fine collection tucked away.
"I was going more for suave vamp, but that works too."
"Vampires are more in blacks, red, and overdramatic. You need a cape. And darker colors." She shrugged. "Oh well. Wanna-be hipster fits your personality better." She got up and cleaned out her bowl, then headed downstairs after turning off the TV, and she began to take down chairs and re-wipe down tables. "Give this place a sweep, would ya?"
"Oh really? And why does it fit better?" He quickly finished off his bagel, following her down.
"Yes ma'am," he said, smiling as he began to sweep.
"Dunno. Just does." Soon enough 9 rolled around, and she sighed, unlocking the door. After a little while a few men walked in. The day went by normally, until about 1 some guy said. "Happy Birthday Clara." She nearly dropped the tray of beer she was carrying. "We do not bring up my BIRTHDAY in the bar, Jerry. We've discussed this. Drink your beer, and shuddup." "Oh cmon birthday girl. Relaaaaaax." "I said to fuck off."
Storm, seeing as he wasn't qualified to be a bartender, did a lot of the serving for Clara. He looked up when he heard what Jerry said.
"Birthday?" he said, making his way over, hips swaying a bit. "How interesting."
"Oh no now don't you start Storm." She warned, her face turning into a scowl. "Whoop de doo I'm 26 today, what's the big fucking deal." She rolled her eyes and handed him the tray of beer. "Go serve these over to table 10." She pointed over to a section of tables towards the back, and cleaned up the bar a bit.
"26? 26?! How the hell are you younger than me?" Storm chuckled, taking the tray and sashaying over to the table, serving up the beer.
"SHUT UP!" She said, glowering at him. "Another word about my birthday and I'll throw you back into the sewer you crawled out of!" Her birthday always brought back dark memories. Jerry came over, and handed her a beer. "Here. Drink. And loosen up." "Jerry I'm not gonna waste 3 years of sobriety on my birthday." "It's not like you're gonna get drunk Claire. Cmoooon." She sighed and took a drink of the bottle of beer, and then she chugged down the rest of it. She had missed the taste of alcohol that's for sure. "There. Now go back to your buddies." He chuckled and walked off, then sat down. "OH! Another basket of wings!" She groaned and headed to the back to go cook them up.
Storm looked over, shrugging.
"K then." He was about to say something about not drinking when she chugged the entire thing. He sighed, taking the tray to the counter.
She came out with the wings, served them up, and sighed as she went back behind the bar, humming a bit as she began to clean out some glasses.
Storm sighed, coming back after he had served all of the drinks that had been ordered.
"You feeling good?" he asked, elbow on the counter and chin in hand.
"Hm? Good as I can be I guess." She shrugged and kept cleaning. She hadn't been truly good or happy for awhile.
"I heard what you said earlier, about being three years sober. Why'd you down that bottle then?" he raised an eyebrow at her.
"Sober, as in not drunk. I still enjoy a drink every once in a while. To loosen up. There's a difference." She said with a nod. "I wouldn't give up Bloody Mary's for the world that's for sure." She smiles a bit,and gives a laugh.
(BOINK!)
(Thank you!)
"Ah," Storm said, surprising himself by how much he enjoyed Clara's smile. "Still, it's a thin line to walk."
