"Yeah that'd be great. Just finish putting up chairs on tables and stools on the bar." She said with as she hummed.
"Yeah that'd be great. Just finish putting up chairs on tables and stools on the bar." She said with as she hummed.
Storm nodded, beginning to do as he had been instructed. He started with his own stool, moving methodically. He was actually a good worker.
She watched him. "Ya got a job?" She asked as she wiped down some tables, to lazy to really do a very good job this night. She was tired. She just wanted to go upstairs, cuddle her cat and watch studio ghibli movies.
"A couple, yeah. A first and second shift at a cafe. I know, boring." He chuckled.
"Well I was considering hiring you, its why I asked. Hard to find good help." She shrugs. "Oh well. You probably are getting paid better there than here."
"Eh, I could always quit. I have a feeling it'd be more interesting working here." He smiled.
"Yeah but you may not be able to pay your bills working here. I live above the place and own this place so I don't pay to much, luckily." She shrugs as she finishes up, hanging up her apron.
Storm shrugs.
"I don't really care. I always manage to scrape by." Mostly due to hacking into bank accounts, but he didn't say that part out loud.
"We'll see." She shrugs. "So then. Ya taking me home, or what?" She asks, testing him.
"Depends. Do you want me to? Because I know you can get there perfectly fine on your own. You obviously do so often." He turned to her, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm pretty sure most of the night cretins around here are terrified of you."
(boop)
She tossed her rag over her shoulder. "Damn right they are! Ya got anywhere to go tonight? Other than your place? Cause if ya don't, you could just spend the night here. Quit your job in the morning and start here." She shrugs as she sat on the counter, got out a cigarette, and lit it.
"Sounds a lot better then going back to the hellhole of pussies. I think I'll take you up on that offer." He gave her a quick smile of thanks.
Clara didn't smile, only nodded and headed up the stairs, motioning for him to follow. The apartment was small. There were a few posters on the wall, anime and rock bands. In the corner in the living room was a book shelf, overweighed by the amount of wrestling trophies, ribbons, and awards on it. At the top were her 3 WWE Womans Wrestling belts. A black cat, chubby, with only one eye ran up to her. "Oh hi there Sylvester! Did ya miss me?" Even the toughest woman in the world had her sweet spot, as she walked in, petting him and covering his face in kisses.
Storm followed, holding back a low whistle when he saw Clara's trophies, and found her interactions with her cat quite cute. He smirked a bit.
She carried him into the small kitchen, and fed him a can of tuna, then sighed. "Make yourself comfortable. Not what ya expected is it? Expected a training room or something yeah? Maybe none of the anime posters." She nods over to the Princess Mononoke poster on one wall, arms crossed, then plopped down on the couch.
Storm sat at the edge of the couch, shrugging.
"If that's the stuff your in to, I'm not about to say there's anything wrong with it. You do you." He shot her another grin.
"Hm. Guess so." She shrugged, as she kicked off her boots and stretched out her legs, sighing as she pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one, taking a drag. "Feels good to relax. I'll make a pizza in a bit. I don't have cable but put in any movie you want." She said as she blew out the smoke. She wasn't one to smile all that much.
(BUMP)
"Okay. What movies do you have?" Storm glanced around again, appreciating her tastes.
"Mostly anime…but some fighter movies, little bit of disney, lots of horror. Little bit of everything really. Oh and of course black and whites and indie films. The films were better with story line and such back then." She nodded as she took another drag. "You want a cigarette?"
"Sure, don't see why not. And it seems we have similar tastes. Do you have Nightmare on Elm Street?" Storm chuckled.
"It always gets me to laugh."
"Naw. Dunno, always creeped me out to much as a kid, which is saying a lot for how I grew up. The Original Dracula is super good. Oh and Young Frankenstein! Sorta…silly but still really good. If you haven't, I'd check it out." For a moment there was a light in her eyes, but as quick as it was there, it died out. "I'm sorta in the mood for a zombie movie. Like ZombieLand." (Seriously. It's a black and white film but it has sorta modern dorky humor and it's really good)
"I see. Well, why don't we watch that then? It sounds interesting." He shrugged, not really caring.
"And Young Frankenstein was really good, I really enjoyed it."
She handed him the cigarette and lighter. "Put it in then." She said, kicking his butt softly, teasingly, softening up a bit around him.
