Vivian looks at him like he's lost his mind. "Nanobots?" She asks, not entirely sure that this is a good idea anymore. The fact that he looks nervous has her on edge. "Are you sure that you can do this?" The thought of him digging around in her arm makes her nauseous. She's especially worried about the whole nanobot thing since she doesn't know what those are.

“I think it may be best to get whatever’s in your arm out as soon as possible, unless it’s supposed to be in there.” Which Nils doubts, because it’s only been in there since today. He takes a breath, in and out, to relax himself, though it doesn’t do much.

@LolaBug

"Okay…….just be careful." Vivian nervously extends her arm so that he can get whatever it is out. She's definitely worried. Something could very easily go wrong. She really wouldn't like to bleed to death and this seems risky so hence the worry.

@Mojack group

Nils moved forwards, pausing, as if reconsidering this. But he resumed again, carefully using his left hand to hold her arm in place. He moved his other hand forwards - the one with the wrist-knife thing, and began to work at trying to get whatever was in there - out.

@LolaBug

Vivian tries to stay as still as possible but it hurts like crazy. She bites down harshly on her lower lip, tears stinging at her eyes. A small whimper escapes from her mouth as she tried not to focus on the pain. A tiny bloody computer looking chip pops out of her arm after a few minutes.

@Mojack group

Nils is able to smell the blood with ease, but he doesn’t mention it. He lifts his hands, both of them at the sight of the chip, before moving to inspect it. “It’s a computer chip,” he notes, though he isn’t quite sure what it is. He doesn’t seem very bothered by any blood.

As he says that, the knife like appendage on his wrist seems to fall away with similar clicking noises, until it is completely gone.

@LolaBug

Vivian cautiously looks down at her arm, her face paling considerably at the sight of blood. "Why was there a……..computer chip in my arm?" She asks as she looks away to avoid fainting. There's no way she ever would have agreed to having something put in her arm, let alone a computer chip.

She's briefly distracted by the familiar sound. That knife like that had some out of his arm is intriguing. She can't help but wonder how it works.

@Mojack group

Nils doesn’t respond at first. He seems almost transfixed by the computer chip in his fingers. Or perhaps he was focused on something else, but it was hard to tell with him. Finally, he responds.

“I’m not sure..er..” he glances up. “Shouldn’t you bandage up your arm or something?” Aside from the fact that he had just removed something from another person’s arm, he really didn’t understand medical stuff at all. Although he knew it wasn’t good to have exposed wounds, especially in an environment like this.

@LolaBug

(Sorry! I'm at the beach and the wifi is all sorts of wonky!)

Vivian stares blankly at him for a moment before nodding her head as she processes what he's saying. With her non-bleeding arm, she reaches into her bag and pulls out a thick roll of gauze.

It's an awkward task but she manages to tightly wrap her arm up. That should keep the blood where it needs to be. "Should we keep going?" She asks as she tucks away the unused gauze. There's sure to be a reason that someone will need to use it later.

@Mojack group

((It’s fine!))

Nils seems to have his left hand pressed against his right one, but it may just be a quirk he has. It is a bit of a stressful situation, after all. He still has the chip in hand, and he decides to keep it for now, but something in the back of his mind tells him to keep it away. He could’ve sworn he saw the large letters, Foreign object detected, flash across his vision. He keeps silent about it though, though he’s coming to terms with what he is.

He returns to the present time. “Yes, probably.” Nils looks ahead. They don’t have much distance to travel.

@LolaBug

(I'm back! Sorry that I haven't gotten on sooner, things were insane for these last few days.)

Vivian anxiously runs her hands up and down the side of her shirt before tucking them away in the pockets of her jeans. Everything is okay. Everything is okay. Everything is okay. She drills this into her head as she takes a moment to focus on her breathing. It could be worse. She could be all alone or Nils could be trying to kill her. Focusing on the positives is her best bet.

"Lead the way." Even with the signs, she's not entirely sure where she needs to be going.

@Mojack group

Nils looks back, for a moment, probably to confirm that Vivian was following him. But it was quite easy to see Nils stiffen, all of the sudden, as if he'd seen something he wasn't supposed to. Which he had; though seen was debatable, considering the current state of his vision. More so detected something further down the corridor, behind them both; where they had came from. It was hard to see from this distance, but there was a slight reflection in his helmet of whatever was down there.
For all they know, it could also be a stack of crates or something that they passed by. At least in Nils' vision, anyways. It wasn't moving at all.

He just stands there, eerily silent as he tries to see what it is by the end of the corridor.

@LolaBug

Vivian follows after Nils without hesitation. It's gotten to the point where she's realized that she either follows him or she gets lost. She'd rather not do the latter. Her entire body tenses up the second she notices him stiffen. She doesn't even know what's going on but she doesn't like it. If her huge companion is nervous then she definitely is. Without thinking about it, she moves closer and grabs his arm, just wanting to make sure that don't get separated if something happens. Dying isn't something that she's looking forward to and this place is beyond creepy so it naturally freaks her out.

"What is it?" She whispers, not wanting to be loud in case whatever it is hears her.

@Mojack group

Nils doesn’t seem to react. It’s as if he’s in some sort of trance. Almost like..like how cats typically get very still when they either see prey, or see something threatening.

Whatever is at the end of the corridor seems to move, but makes no noise. The dark shape vanishes around the corner, as if it was no longer there. Nils continues his action for a little longer, then seems to relax, though he doesn’t seem to speak. Instead, Nils begins to walk towards the end of the corridor, where the shape had vanished. Albeit slowly.

@LolaBug

The silence is deafening. She's not going to lie, him not having a reaction is really freaking her out. Would saying or doing something kill him? She just wants a general idea of what's going on.

"Nils." Vivian tugs at his arm again, practically begging him to say something or even just acknowledge her. This is getting all too weird for her. Normal reactions are screaming or running or fight. Not just standing there! She very reluctantly follows him when he starts heading down the hallway. She holds onto his arm with an iron grip, refusing to let go for even a split second.

@Mojack group

Nils continues to stay silent. He doesn’t seem to acknowledge anything said to him just yet. He’s walking forwards, head slightly lowered but looking right ahead.

He doesn’t even get to the corner of the corridor when he stops walking. Earlier, when he was frustrated, he had growled. Again, this time he growled, though it wasn’t a human one. He had lost the target. Whatever was there was long gone. He seems to glance around, then turns, looking at Vivian, though saying nothing.

He’s either waiting for something or still stuck in that trance of his.

@LolaBug

Vivian puffs out her cheeks in annoyance. It's gotten to the point where being ignored is much more annoying than worrisome. She wants him to tell her what's going on.

A shiver runs down her spine at the sound of the inhuman growl. What the heck? She peers around the corner cautiously and looks around at everything. There's nothing there. She gradually forces herself to relax. That has to be a good sign, right? Glancing over to her companion, she sighs. It seems as though he's hellbent on being quiet.

"Nils, can you please say something?"

@Mojack group

Nils continued to stay still for a few more moments, then broke the silence.

“What?” He asked, confused. As if his mind had gone blank, or he hadn’t remembered any of his previous actions. “Something?” His words are drawn out.

@LolaBug

"You saw something and then you growled. What's going on?" Vivian asks, nudging him lightly. "It's fine if you don't want to talk to me but you at least have to let me know what's going on." This is all too weird for her liking. Had he just zoned out? She honestly can't tell with him.

@Mojack group

“What?” He repeated.

“I..” Nils looked up. “I don’t remember doing any of that. I was just walking.” He seemed to shrug, though it was more of a faint gesture.

Indeed, Nils didn’t remember doing any of that corridor standoff stuff. He did though, recall a momentary blackout, like in his mind. And then it was over, and here he was.

@LolaBug

Frowning, she studies him for several moments, concern etched in her features. Not remembering one's actions doesn't seem like it's normal.

"Are you okay?"

She releases her hold on him and let's her arms drop to her side. She's not entirely sure what she'll dp if he's not okay. It's not like she has training to deal with situations like this.

@Mojack group

Nils thinks for a moment. Admittedly, not really well. But still..

“I don’t know.” He stated, deciding on that answer for now. He felt fine - at the same time, he didn’t really feel that much. His mind went back to the injury that he received from an unknown source and he had only noticed the cut a while after it began to bleed. But from his viewpoint, ‘I don’t know,’ was a suitable statement to use for his current situation.

“I’m fine, though.” He added.

@LolaBug

Vivian sighs. That's not the answer that she was looking for but it's apparently the one that she's going to get. She rubs the side of her arm lightly, frowning as she thinks. Something has her on edge and a lot of things just don't add up. She wishes that she would get a straight answer or explanation for once. There's nothing keeping them here anymore so they may as well continue on their way.

"Should we keep going or do you need to rest?"

@Mojack group

“No, I think I’m alright right now.” Nils looked back in the direction they were heading. “Let’s just keep heading upstairs. I believe the stairs are pretty close now.”
