"N-No one…Cared for me this much…"
"N-No one…Cared for me this much…"
"Then they're missing out on getting to know an amazing, wonderful, crazy person." she looked up into his eyes, smiling softly, knowing that her cheeks were turning pink. "I will always care for you, no matter what happens to either of us, if you'll let me."
"…" He didn't do anything.
Crap! I did something wrong, he isn't responding!
She averted her eyes from him, biting her lip. "That probably sounded so stupid.."
"Not at all…"
Phew!
"I'm glad-" her phone started buzzing in her bag. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she whispered. "This had better be important.."
She answered the call, accidentally putting it on speaker. "Yes?"
"How's the date going?" her dad's voice called from the other end.
"Dad.." she hissed. "It's going fine. Is that all?"
"Your mother wants to meet him."
She froze, not sure of what to say. She didn't think Alex was in the best position to be meeting anyone, if anything he probably wanted to get away from her as quickly as possible. She stood there awkwardly, trying to think of an excuse why her mum couldn't meet him.
"I-Is tomorrow ok?" he said quietly.
She raised her eyebrows. "You heard what he said?" she quickly checked her phone, realizing it was on speaker. What a freaking idiot Leonie..
"Dad, is it okay if Alex comes over tomorrow?"
"Sure thing kiddo, be back by five alright?" and with that the call ended.
Leonie turned to Alex, her face burning, bright red, her voice quivering a little. "W-wow I am so sorry about that!"
"He seems nice."
"He is as of late, I don't really know what's happened to him." she chuckled awkwardly.
"Oh?"
"Ever since yesterday he has just been… nice. He doesn't call me 'Liam', but then he doesn't call me Leonie. He doesn't mind that I have a friend who is also transgender, though I don't know if he fully accepts transgenders as a whole. He doesn't look at me with the scorn that my mother does, I think that's the biggest change I've seen from him." she quickly cleared her throat. "Oh I'm sorry, don't let me ramble about silly stuff like that alright?"
There you go again Leonie..
"It's not silly. It's cute." IDIOT
"C-cute?" She found herself smiling sheepishly. Stop smiling, STOP SMILING!
"Y-Yeah." DUD STOP TALKING. He smiled back
"I like that word, it's nicer than being called handsome.." She grinned up to her eyes, giggling quietly. Stop it you look so weird!!!
"True. But I'd like to be called handsome."
"Excuse me?" she looked shocked. "You are handsome, why has no one told you that?"
"…Reasons…"
"Well they should, you deserve to be complimented like that." she reached up to ruffle his hair gently. "You are perfect, remember that, no matter what anyone says, no matter what choices you make in life."
He blushes badly not knowing what to say.
He's blushing again! Was it something I said??
Leonie gently took his arm and grinned. "We've been stood in the same spot for almost an hour, is there anywhere you want to go?"
He tried to say something but failed. "u-uh…"
She smiled sympathetically. "Words fail us all, there's no rush just take your time."
He didn't know what was going on.
