Alex knew that Hailee probably needed her help, but she couldn't care less. Her anger flared for a second, but she was starting to calm down, granted she was almost jogging away, but she was calming down.

"Oh, well, you know you won't defeat me by yourself."
"Maybe, maybe not. But whatever happens, I'll die trying."

She continued along and soon reached one of her favorite places in the city. The street wasn't really famous or well known, but there was one bookstore that she loved to come to. The owner was amazingly nice and she always listened to Alex's rants without complaining, giving her advice and almost acting like a second mother to her.

"Oh, I can guarantee that you will die trying," They said, lifting up some vines and propelling them towards Hailee. They picked her up in the air and tossed her into a building.

Alex entered the bookshop and immediately started wandering through the aisles, chatting with the owner and getting her opinion on what she should do about Hailee.

Hailee fell and landed on the ground. She got up, not backing down from the fight.

She huffed, the owner wasn't helping her case. She was actually telling Alex to go back. Alex huffed again and bought a new book before taking her advice and heading back, not very quickly, but she was heading back.

"You won't win, Web," They said.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing. And I'm standing up and doing something."

Eventually she reached where Hailee was and she huffed, scowling at her friend before setting her book down and walking over to her, "Who is it this time?" She asked, cracking her knuckles.

Hailee didn't hear her, ears ringing slightly from her recent toss into a building.

"Nevermind, ignore me." She muttered, stretching as she headed towards where she thought the other was.

"Oh Web," The villain taunted. "Ready for another shot? Oh, and I see — decided to join you."

She glared at the villan, "Yes, I'm here, I'd suggest you leave." She shook out her legs and grinned, "Or this won't end well for you."

They sent vines towards the two heroes, vines of which Hailee only just managed to dodge.

Alex easily slipped out of the way of the vines thanks to her speed before heading towards the villain again. They were one of the regular villains, the ones that came back time after time.

"You came back," Hailee said as she dodged more vines. She had more confidence with Alex around. "I didn't think you would."

"I'm leaving right after this," She huffed, glaring at Hailee, "I'm still pissed at you guys so you probably won't see me for at least a day after this is done."

Hailee smiled as she back flipped onto a car out of the way of vines. "I'm just glad you came back."

Alex rolled her eyes and dodged another set of vines, "Shut it. I only came back because I want to have the chance to punch you a few more times."

"We're fighting them not me!" Hailee yelled, webbing some vines in place. "Look, I didn't know you would react like that. If I could take it back, I would."

"Right totally believe you." She said, sarcasm dripping off every word, "We've been partners for how long? And you claim that you didn't know I'd react like that."

"I didn't!" Hailee defended. "I didn't because no matter how many times I've done it before, you've passed it off as a fun joke."

"It is a fun joke, until you get webs over your mouth for almost no reason, your best friend refuses to help you take them off, so her brother and your boyfriend has to track you down and coax you into letting him help. Then you head back to the headquarters and guess what, her other brother decides to stick you to the ceiling and make your mouth disappear." She scowled and started taking her anger out on the vines and the villain, using her super speed to make sure that she wasn't hit or injured, "Tell me, does that sound like a joke to you?"

"That situation didn't. I didn't know it would happen. I was gonna use web dissolver after 5 minutes when you calmed down, but you ran off. And you can't blame Gabe's actions on me. He's an irrational 17 year old that thinks the world revolves around him. I'm sorry for what happened. I really am."

Alex continued to scowl and attack the vines and villain, not responding to what Hailee said.
