Hailee looked at Alex sadly. She didn't see the next wave of vines come towards her until it was too late.

"Hailee!"Alex yelled, watching the vines reach her friend. Even if the two of them weren't on speaking terms she was still her friend and she cared about her. She dashed towards her with her superspeed and glared at the villan.

Hailee closed her eyes and waited for impact. Suddenly it was silent. She opened her eyes, and she saw that she was suspended in a ball of vines. She started to rip at them.

She growled lowly and ran back to the villain, attacking with even more anger and frustration. She was sure that they would let go of Hailee eventually if she kept attacking.

Hailee managed to tear a chunk of a vine away, but it simply grew back, twice as thick as before. She cut herself, but didn't stop, even as the warm blood from her palm started to snake its way down her arm.

Alex huffed and went back to where Hailee was, "Hailee? Can you hear me?" She shouted, looking up at the ball and looking for a way to help.

Hailee webbed part of the vine and wrapped the webbing around her hands. She started to try and pull on it, hearing a soft ripping sound. She pulled harder.

"Nevermind." She muttered, glaring at the ball of vines for a minute before heading back towards the villain and attacking again.

Hailee pulled even harder. A hole broke away that was large enough for her to get through, but it was staring to reinforce already. She pushed herself forward and shot out of the hole, crashing into a car.

Alex jumped from the sound of Hailee crashing into the car and she glanced over at her before going back to attacking, "C'mon slowpoke, a little help would be nice." She shouted to her friend.

"I'm sorry that I got caught in a ball of vines!" Hailee yelled back. "And you have superspeed!"

"Well now get your butt over here!" She shouted again, "And superspeed is not that helpful," Alex continued attacking but she was slowly running out of energy.

"It's more helpful than what I have," Hailee shouted, her enhanced endurance keeping her fit. "I'm a fucking spider!"

Alex rolled her eyes, "You can shoot freaking webs, that is helpful on many more levels than super speed is! Not to mention that you don't get exhausted in three seconds."

Hailee sighed. "I have to make these fucking webs, idiot! You've seen me do it! And I didn't gift myself enhanced endurance!"

"You can still shoot them, can't you?" She countered, "And I wish I had longer endurance, but nooo having super speed makes your endurance plummet and your need for food skyrocket."
