(Yeah. Let me post and we can do that. She's not gonna be talking for a while but your guy can try a few things.)

Kara slowly wraps her arms around herself, silent. She seemed to shiver slightly. No…tremble. Was she cold? Scared? Maybe both. Even though she was shaking, she kept the same dead look on her face.
After a moment, Kara slowly hugs her bag to her chest.
(I’ll just take some creative liberties since I don’t know what qualifies as yes or no-)
Not much more walking—about twenty more minutes or so—and they entered a small village on the outskirts of the forest. The houses and buildings were very log cabin-like as they must have used the resources around them to build the settlement. Tseth seems to know his way around and not long after they enter the village the two of them stop at one of the houses.
It didn’t look too big from the outside, enough for a few people to live in.
Tseth glances at Kara again before opening the door. “This is my house. I’m offering for you to stay, if you would. You are not obligated to though. You can leave whenever you want.” The offer was true, he didn’t want her to think she didn’t have a choice in this. She could run off right now if she wanted. But he also didn’t want her to leave and potentially get herself killed, so there was that.
It took Kara a long moment. She was probably processing what was happening. After a while, she looks up at Tseth. Something seemed to gleam in her eyes. Trust?
After another moment, Kara looks inside the house and waits for Tseth to go inside before she did.
(sorry T^T)
(Naw it’s alright)
(Every once in a while I might ask questions- speaking of I do have one rn who’s doing random narration bits)
(Um. Hm. Idk. I'd say you cause I'm not very good about it)
(Aight 👍 sounds good)
(Thx)
Tseth steps inside and holds the door for Kara. He smiled ever so slightly at her.
The layout of the house was fairly simple from the look of it. The doorway lead into the living room, and on the other end of the wall with the entrance door was the entryway to the kitchen. There was a hallway entrance on the right living room wall that lead to a few different rooms.
(Casually steals the layout of my friends house because idk how to imagine house layouts myself)
(The layout of the rooms in the hallway is like uh- in the way back there’s an office, then the main bedroom, extra bedroom, bathroom, and then a miscellaneous room they use for whatever that also leads back to the kitchen)
(Niceee.)
Kara looks around ever so slightly, standing by the couch. She looked slightly overwhelmed. Like she didn't know what to do besides stand there silent. She silently appreciated the strangers kindness. Not a lot of people were kind to her. So this was extremely new.
Kara holds her black duffle bags to her chest and takes a soft breath in.
Tseth looks down at the duffle bags, suddenly remembering something. “Oh- there’s an extra bedroom if you want to put your stuff away there. I can show you around, if you want.” It seems like he lived alone. Well, maybe. The walls had some pictures hung up on them with different people in them. Friends or family, perhaps.
Kara looks at him and hugs her duffle bag tighter. She then nods ever so slightly at the request.
The girl slowly follows Tseth, looking at the pictures at the wall.
The door to what’s now Kara’s bedroom is right next to the living room entrance from the hallway. Tseth pushes open the cracked-open door and steps inside. There’s a closet, a window, and a bed with a curled-up mass of black fur in the middle of it. One that pokes its head up when the two of them enter and stares at them with yellow eyes. A cat.
Tseth tilts his head and chuckles at the cat on the bed, extending a hand to pet it. “This isn’t your room, little furball.”
Kara seemed to light up at the sight of the cat. She slowly makes her way to the animal and gently pets it. Kara slowly blinks at it, seeming to have a life inside her that wasn't there before.
(Hehe)
The cat looks up and Kara and stands up, stretching out and then sitting down and letting her pet them.
Tseth returns to a standing position and looks between Kara and the cat. “He seems to like you. And that’s a compliment, he doesn’t like many.” He moves back to the door. “My room is the next door down on the left side, and my office is at the end. Feel free to explore around the house and make yourself comfortable, I’ll be in the kitchen.”
(side eye)
Kara sits down, still petting the cat. When Tseth leaves, she murmurs to the cat. "Cute…" She sighs and leans against the wall. She keeps her bag to herself, quiet.
(Whatttt)
(Cats make everyone happy that’s he has one because of his crippling depression)
(XD)
The cat bumps his head against her arm and then takes an interest to the dried blood that was still on her face. The cat stares at it before jumping down from the bed and trotting out to the living room.
Kara sighs, not following to animal, but silently wishing she would. She curls up on the bed, looking sad. Then, she slowly goes back to looking empty.
After several minutes, the smell of food being cooked filled the air. Tseth must be making dinner.
…Or at least trying to. Usually if he even did make dinner, he’d make something quick. But he figured he would at least try to put some effort into it this time. And he wasn’t doing too bad at that.
(Adorable-)
Kara felt sick from the smell. But this time…it only lasted for a moment. Surprisingly, she felt…hungry? Or maybe she was sick. Yeah…sick. She was never hungry. She was just sick again.
(I'm gonna leave whatever the food is to your imagination lol- my brain vibes with the idea of it being some kind of meat with some vegetables with an unknown extra type of food also there but go wild)
After some time–it seemed long, but maybe it wasn't–theres a knock on the wall outside Kara's door paired with Tseth's unmistakable voice. He cleared his throat and spoke. "Uh, I made dinner. If you want some." He had made enough for the two of them and some extra for leftovers. He tried to get a small variety so there'd be something she liked. He figured she might not eat much regardless, though.
(Yeah. Im thinking deer or something, broccoli and mashed potatoes. That kinda cozy meal-)
Kara looks up, looking confused. It appeared that she wasn't used to that kind of gester. She was used to having to refuse food. Or not receiving any at all.
Kara felt bad for turning down the food. Especially from how hard he seemed to work on it. But also, something in her needed to say no. Someone else was hungry.
She then pauses as flashbacks of her crying siblings filled her mind and ears. Their hungry sounding cries making her heart ache.
Kara shook her head slowly and hides her face.
(flashbacks because my dad has made that meal before lmaoo)
Tseth makes a concerned expression at Kara, and his voice showed it even when she wasn’t looking at his face. “…Alright. I’ll put your plate in the fridge. But you know, I’m not letting you starve yourself.” That most likely meant that tomorrow he would try and make her eat something.
