(My brain was trying to figure out which one it was so I just went with a random wrong one)
Kara stands in the hallway, staring at the light. Something echoed though her mind. "Follow the light, sweet girl."
Kara shudders and turns back to her own room. She didn't want to remember. It hurt too much. But, just as she turned to walk back to the darkness, she froze. Like something was forcing her to go. She shudders and turns back to the soft light. Then, she slowly makes her way to the door.
Her hands shook as she reaches for the door knob. She was scared…but her face didn't show it. Not even her heartbeat. Just her trembling frail figure and sweaty palms.
(Its cool! Its called improv for a reason)
Tseth quickly turned in his chair when the door opened. He almost looked… startled? But then he realized who it was. Who did you think it would be, idiot? “Oh… hey. What are you doing back here?”
The room was tidy, like the rest of the house. Mostly. The only messy part of the room was the desk he was sitting at, with halfway-organized stacks of papers, folders, and whatever else. Whatever his job was, right now it didn’t really fit what he looked like.
(Me still trying to figure out what his job adapts to in this universe: )
(XD it can be anything really.)
Kara looks down, silent. She didn't know why she was here. Why she was bothering this kind man. But she was. And…she felt bad…
(intense thinking)
(Would it be probable for the species in the universe he comes from to exist here, at the very least on a much smaller scale than usual)
(Yeah absolutely! My little universe that most of my ocs are in are just all combined from mythology and my imagination- so anything and everything exists)
(Ooh fun. So ig his position wouldn’t change much between the two universes)
Tseth looks at Kara, trying to figure out what she was thinking. And what to say next. “I don’t mind company, if that’s what you are worrying about.” More concerned about how she feels about it, though.
She slowly looks up at him, then looks around for somewhere to sit. Of course, she ends up sitting by the wall on the floor. She was close to the door. Probably out of habit.
Tseth hesitates for a moment. Right, there’s no other chairs in here. He didn’t really care for chairs anyway. He grabs a clipboard with a paper on it and then sits down on the floor with Kara, facing her. He was a good couple feet away, though. That wasn’t the only reason he decided to do that, he didn’t like people being behind him. He should probably tell her about that eventually… later. Yeah, later.
He looks over at her. He was curious to get the girl’s name, but he wasn’t sure when to ask. He did try earlier, but that didn’t work very well.
(This man is great at social interaction)
(XD)
Kara looks at the clipboard, dead silent. She didn't wanna speak anymore… But…maybe she could answer his questions on paper…? No…she shouldn't communicate…
(Me, sobbing: please-)
Tseth began to fill out the paper. It seemed to be something important, judging by the way his expression changed as he read through it. He glanced up at her every once in a while. “Sorry if I’m not the best at talking myself. I used to be good at it, not as much now.” That was a bit vague.
On his desk, there were blank papers and writing utensils. If she did want to write something on them, she could grab one.
(grin)
Kara looks at the desk. Then, she slowly stands and walks over to the supplies. She grabs two blank papers and a pen, then walks back to Tseth. She sighs as she sits down and slowly writes her name on the paper.
Surprisingly, she had very pretty handwriting. It was hard to explain, but it seemed like she had a lot of past practice with it.
(more things on her? YEAH- hehehe-)
(I love learning things about ocs who don’t want things to be revealed)
Tseth tilts his head as he watches her write. “…Kara? Is that your name?” He sets the clipboard down, which had his handwriting—lines of scribbles almost. And in Russian, to boot.
(^^)
Kara says nothing, but simply writes, thank you.
She stared at the paper. She shouldn't be doing this…but…somehow… She trusted this man…
Tseth nods and looks at Kara. “You’re welcome, Kara.” There was a hint of a smile in his eyes. He was glad that he could help her, even if just a little bit. He knew a familiar place to where she’s in right now.
Kara sighs and leans back against the wall. She felt…a little less stuck then before… Like her mind was finally choosing what reality to lean into. She almost felt…calm?
The girl slowly closes her eyes, her breathing starting to become rhythmic. She even looked calmer then before. More…peaceful.
Tseth wasn't sure what to do now. He wasn't sure if Kara was falling asleep or not right now either. Right now he would just assume she was and be a bit more quiet as he did things.
(very small question how do we feel about adding more characters)
(YES. GO FOR IT ABSOLUTELY)
Kara eventually sighs softly as she dozes into a light sleep. Her long bangs were still in her face, covering most of her delicate seeming features. At least she looked calmer then before. She looked peaceful. And by the looks of her condition, she hadn't felt that in a long time.
(Lolll ok- same goes for you if you want to)
Tseth silently stood up and grabbed his phone off the desk table. He looked through his contacts before choosing one. Just call him. Ugh- no, he’s probably getting sleep like a normal person. He sighs and starts typing a message.
”Hey. I know it’s late, but call me when you can. A few things have happened.”
Well, that just sounds ominous.
”Don’t worry. Not bad things.”
That was a little better, Tseth thought. He looked down at Kara again and leaned over to switch the light off. She’d probably sleep a bit easier in a room that wasn’t bright.
Kara makes a small 'squeak' in her sleep. She honestly looked a lot younger when asleep.
When the lights switched off, she almost disappeared into the darkness. Only her pale skin could be seen.
(Yup)
Tseth left the office and went into his room. He decided it would be best to let Kara sleep in the office instead of moving her back to her room. And this time around, maybe he’d try and get some rest himself.
Eventually morning came, putting the house in a dim natural light as the sun began to rise.
Kara slowly woke up, finding herself alone. She looks around, thinking she was back in the forest…or…
She gasps and scrambles up, trembling. She looks around. No…no she wasn't back there…no…
She keeps looking around until she remembered where she was. Oh…that man. It wasn't a dream…Kara took a deep breath and closed her eyes. It's ok… she heard her mothers voice say. She opens her eyes and shudders before trudging back to her room.
(Oof ouch I had to go to work)
Tseth had given up trying to sleep somewhere in the early morning hours, so he was out in the living room with his cat lying down next to him on the couch. He saw Kara pass the door to the hallway as she went back to her room and said a little “Good morning.”
(Lol its ok ^^)
She squeaked slightly and looked at him, then waved ever so slightly before walking into her room and curling up on her bed. She was still tired, but at least she didn't feel faint anymore. Even she didn't know how many nights she went with no sleep.
(omg it moved- THE DEAD GIRL MOVED/j)
(screeches I FORGOT THIS EXISTED IM SORRY AAAAAA)
(XD it’s fine it happens. I’m very guilty of it.)
