Samul looked around a moment.
"It's almost ten," he said softly. It had already been evening when they went out, and the man had taken his dear sweet time.

Larkin nodded a bit. "Uhm… I-I dunno if I'll be up for going to my classes tomorrow…" He whispered weakly.

"Don't," Samul said softly. "I'm not going to either. I'm not gonna leave you alone right now." He lightly kissed Larkin's head.

"T-Thanks, love…" Larkin sighed shakily and tucked his head under Samul's chin. "I-I just… I know I won't be able to focus or anything…"

"Mm…. It's okay, I know…" Samul carefully laid them both down, still rubbing Larkin's back.
"Why don't we go to sleep..?" He kept Larkin tucked under chin, keeping him.

Larkin nodded a bit and soon drifted off to sleep in Samul's arms, relaxing for the first time the entire evening.

Samul fell asleep soon after, holding the man close. He hated this, he hated how easily that man hurt Larkin…

Larkin was still asleep in the morning, although he'd been very unsettled during the night. It seemed like he'd been having nightmares about the man.

Samul was awake, making sure none of their alarms would go off. He kept a close eye on his boyfriend, frowning a bit.
"Larkin," he said softly, shaking Larkin just a touch.

Larkin whined softly and stirred, looking up at Samul weakly. "Mmm… d'you need something…?" He asked weakly.

"Yeah…" Samul said softly. He lightly kissed Larkin's forehead. "I need to change your bandages, and do something about those burns." He wrapped his arms around Larkin a bit for, hugging him lightly.

"Mmkay… did you look up how to do it or something?" Larkin asked weakly. "And can I have some more pain meds?"

"Yes, I did." Samul sat up, pulling Larkin up into his arms.
"And of course you can." He gently kissed Larkin's head.

Larkin returned the kiss with a shaky sigh and buried his face in Samul's shoulder. "Thanks, love…"

Samul held Larkin close as he stood up, making his way back to the bathroom. He moved Larkin to one arm, getting the pills out again to get one for Larkin.

Larkin swallowed the pill as soon as Samul gave it to him. "Mmmm… thanks, Samul… what're we gonna do today?" He asked weakly.

"I… I don't know. I think it would be a good idea for us just to rest." Samul kissed Larkin's head lightly, moving to start treating the burn.
"My information said to run water over the burn, but there are so many… perhaps we should have you take a cooler shower or bath."

"Mmkay… can you do it with me?" Larkin asked weakly, wincing when Samul touched his arm. "I don't wanna be alone… p-please, love…"

"I can," Samul promised softly. "I'm not gonna force you to be alone right now." He moved to gently kiss Larkin's head, running his fingers through the man's hair.

Larkin nodded a bit and nuzzled against Samul a bit. "T-Thanks… sorry for being so dumb, love…"

"You're not being dumb," Samul assured. He kissed Larkin's head again, finishing up with his current treatment.
"Come, let's get into the shower."

Larkin nodded again, stripping off his clothes so he could get into the shower with Samul. "I love you…" He murmured.

Samul stripped as well, an arm around Larkin still.
"I love you too," He said softly. He turned the water on, making sure to get it to a good temperature. He helped Larkin in, keeping close.

Larkin closed his eyes and just allowed Samul to hold onto him as they showered together, quivering lightly in the other's arms.

Samul gently ran his fingers through Larkin's hair, over and over. He held the man close, still ensuring the man's burns were exposed to the water. That was the point of this, after all.
