The second his tongue slipped into her mouth, Eden’s mind was wiped clean. She immediately slacked against him, a small whimper escaping her lips at his teasing. Why couldn’t he do it properly?
She forced her tongue to move, to stop being so numb, and greet his, flicking it lightly. He’d better stop being such a tease.
Sterling grunted, the sound muffled by her mouth. He pressed her harder against himself, his tongue sliding over hers in retaliation.
Eden shuddered at his actions, fingers slipping into his hair and tugging on it, twisting until she was straddling him. She tilted her head, giving him better access to her mouth. When he slid his tongue over hers, a muffled sound escaped her lips. She didn’t try to retaliate. She decided to let him have his way. It seemed much better that way.
A stifled sound slipped past Sterling’s lips and into Eden’s mouth when she tugged on his hair. She knew. She knew about his weakness. Of course she did. She was going to use this against him so much…
Eden nearly froze at the sound he made. He’d—he did that because she tugged on his hair? Really? He was sensitive about on his hair? That was… Eden didn’t know what to do with that information. If she exploited it, would he get angry at her? Would he never let her touch his hair because it was one of his weak spots? Eden didn’t want that, so she didn’t tug on his hair though she wanted to desperately. She simply had her fingers massage his scalp.
Sterling paused when she didn’t tug again. Maybe she hadn’t known about that sensitive spot he had. Did he scare her with the soft groan he had let escape? He hoped not…
Eden pulled away slightly, lips still connected but not moving. She opened her eyes slightly, her breath fanning his mouth. “Did I—did I do something wrong…?” she whispered, heart erratic. He had paused when kissing her. Of course she did something wrong. “If it was about the hair, I won’t—“
“No. No, Eden, you didn’t do anything wrong. Not at all,” Sterling assured her, pressing his nose against hers. “I just… noticed that you stopped tugging on my hair, is all…”
He wasn’t upset. She hadn’t done anything wrong. So had he—had he wanted her to tug on his hair? Really? “So you’re not… upset I did it?” She kept her eyes down, fighting the urge to press their lips together.
“E… Beautiful, no. Not at all,” Sterling assured her gently. “Far from upset. The complete opposite of upset.”
Eden breathed in relief. “I’m glad…” she murmured, resting her face on his shoulder. “So… your hair, huh?”
“Hush,” Sterling laughed softly. “Nothing about my hair.”
Eden laughed quietly, kissing his cheek softly. “Cute,” she chuckled, wrapping her arms around him tighter, legs tightening around his waist.
“I’m not the cute one. We already had that conversation,” Sterling chuckled, pressing their lips together again.
Eden kissed him back softly, wanting to keep this slow. “Yes, you are cute,” she mumbled against his mouth. “Very much so.”
“If I’m cute, then you’re adorable,” Sterling argued softly.
"No," Eden slowly bit his lip. "I'm terrifying."
“Terrifyingly adorable,” Sterling said, growling softly. He tugged his lip back and pressed heir lips together harder.
"That doesn't–" butterflies exploded in Eden's stomach at his growl. She fell slack in his arms, giving herself to him again. Her brain was turning to mush and it was all because of this man.
Sterling chuckled softly. “Didn’t know I affected you so much,” he murmured against her, having noticed her reaction to him.
"Shut up," Eden mumbled weakly, shuddering against him. "I hate you…"
“Nah,” Sterling chuckled softly, pulling away to kiss her on the forehead.
“Jerk,” Eden buried herself in him further. “Run your fingers through my hair.”
“As my queen wishes,” Sterling murmured against her head, pushing his fingers through her hair.
Eden snuggled into him, arms tightening around him, exhaling in content. “I still can’t believe you like me,” she whispered, closing her eyes.
