“I will,” Lucas promised. “I’ve got two people I want to please.”
“I will,” Lucas promised. “I’ve got two people I want to please.”
Ashley smiled a little and pecked his cheek before finally pulling away to rest her head on his shoulder. “Good… Now, let’s finish this movie so we can go plan our wedding later.”
Lucas made himself and his fiancée comfortable before focusing on the screen.
“What about light pink and light green?” Ashley suggested, flipping through pictures on Pinterest a couple of hours later. “We could have the bridesmaids in pink and the guy’s ties in green…”
Lucas peered at her screen, his chin resting on her shoulder.
“So, light pink and light green?” He repeated. “That sounds like a good combination. We’re doing it in Florida, right?”
“Probably, yeah… Yeah, actually, we should definitely do that. We should probably look for venues, too. Any ideas?” Ashley wondered, turning her head to kiss his cheek quick.
Lucas snorted.
“There’s apparently an Eden Banquet Hall,” he snickered at the name. “Anyway, what sort of venue do you want?”
Ashley chuckled at that and reached back to poke him playfully. “What do you think Eden would say if we had it there?” she joked with a grin. “Do we want it indoors or outdoors? Because if we do it outdoors, we should have a beach wedding. If we do it indoors… Maybe a green house or indoor garden?”
“She’d probably glare at us, knowing we did that on purpose,” Lucas grabbed her finger and gave it a small kiss. “We should keep it indoors. What if the weather suddenly changes? That would be bad.”
“Hm… Probably a good idea,” Ashley murmured, gently pulling her hand away from him so she could type something into her laptop.
A few clicks later, she pulled up a website for a zoo that did weddings. She glanced over the page and smiled before turning to Lucas. “What about this? It looks pretty.”
(The actual website: https://brevardzoo.org/host-an-event/weddings/ )
Lucas looked at the screen before his eyes widened.
“Yes,” he breathed out. “This is perfect. This is a perfect place to hold a wedding.”
Ashley’s smile grew until she was grinning at him. “Great. We can call them to figure out the schedule, then,” she said, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. “Gosh, I can’t wait…”
Lucas pecked her on the lips, bumping their noses together.
“Do you want to do it, or should I?” He asked, kissing her on the nose.
(He literally asked the same question twice. Lol.)
“Would you mind?” Ashley asked, scrunching her nose up from the kiss. “Then I can look at more things to plan while you’re on the phone.”
(He literally asked the same question twice. Lol.)
(wait damn it)
“All right,” Lucas nodded, taking out his phone and dialing the number from the website.
(I guess.)
(Okay, cool.
not it)
"Okay, they said they might be able to fit us in in March," Lucas said the second he got off the call. "They aren't sure yet. They've already got about two weddings planned out, but the couples have yet to decide."
"Well, there are four weekends in March. They should definitely be able to fit us if there are only two other weddings," Ashley mused as she looked through catering websites. "What kind of food do we want? And do we want it buffet style or served? I'd prefer buffet, personally…"
“Buffet sounds perfect,” Lucas nodded. “What types of food do you want served? Indian, Chinese, Mexican, or mixed?”
Ashley hummed and reached back to pull him closer so that she could lean back into him. "What about… Mixed? That way there's something for everyone," she decided with a shrug. Her stomach grumbled, and she glanced down at it with narrowed eyes. "Speaking of Chinese… I would really like some right now. Like, seriously. I really want orange chicken right now."
Lucas kissed his pregnant fiancée on the cheek, running his fingers through her hair.
“I’ll order it for you,” he murmured. “How about that?”
Ashley smiled and looked over at him. "Would you? That would be amazing, babe. Thanks."
