Alexandra gives Charity the number cruncher. "We'll find a way to get home. I don't know about you, but I really want to explore the town. I want to see how everything used to be. What differences and similarities do the 60's and the twenty century has! Technically I just want to explore."
"Hey! We can't do that. We're dressed in completely different fashion, we have phones, backpacks with designs, and overall it's obvious were not from thus time we can't…" She tries to be a voice of reason
"We'll just buy something from the shops or I dunno. We can say we're not from the United States. They'll never know. If you want to stay here then go ahead, but I'm going to go explore. And you can't stop me." She sticks out her tongue and starts leaving the construction site.
She paused before running after the other girl. “Fine. But we should at least hide our phones and backpacks…” she whispered
"We put our phones in our backpacks and then we just hide our backpacks somewhere were we will remember to get them later. We can hide them behind a bush or leafy tower or something. Any brain bubbles?" Alexandra said. She takes off her backpack and takes out her phone. She turns it off so the battery doesn't die and she puts it inside her backpack. "There. All I got to do is hide it."
She does the same but paused, pulling the calculated out and tucking it into her hoodie sleeve. “Yeah. How bout the bush over there?”
She turns over to the bush and shrugs. “It should do. As long as no pesky kids start playing around the area, everything should be fine.” She goes over to the bush and hides her backpack. She waits for Charity to do the same.
She nods and slipped her backpack into the bush. “Ready to explore?” She hummed softly
“Heck yeah!” Alexandra said happily. She starts walking down the cobble-stone-clippity-clop that takes them straight into town. “I always wanted to know how the sixties was. It seems like a cool time.”
“I mean…it does seem like a good time, but we really shouldn’t time travel…” she whispered softly
"Would you stop worrying . . . uh… .just realized I don't know what your name is. Alright then, introduction time. Hi, my name is Alexandra. What's yours?" Alexandra said as she extended her hand.
She paused, before holding her hand out. “Charity, noice to meet you. I know we’ve had classes together but we don’t really talk.” Shebhummed
She shakes Charity's hand and smiles. "noice to meet you, Charity. Now, let us continue on our quest!" Alexandra says with a giggle. She hums a tune as they walk down into town. A couple of minutes passed before they stood at the entrance of the town.
She giggled and followed her with a hum. “So what’re we going to do…?” She whispered in a nervous tone
She shrugged. "Don't exactly know. I guess we can go into shops and diners. Meet new people, chat with the for a while, etc. If they ask us where we're from. We can always say England, or Spain, France, or Australia. I'm pretty sure they have already discovered Australia."
She laughed softly. "I'm sure. We're in the 1960's not the 1600's." She giggles as she follows the other girl silently
"Well, yeah, but there were no settlements until 1770. I think. I don't really know the lastpast yesteryear of Australia." She looks around and stops. "Wait. Do you think they'll accept the mint cheddar we have? I mean if we're going to a diner, we're going to have to order something."
“Uhm…” she paused, looking through her wallet silently. “I mean mint cheddar was the same then wasn’t it? Or same kind of currency”
"Well, I guess? I do know they had different types of bills, but I guess the mint cheddar we have might as well work. So, there are a couple of places we can go. There are some shops, er, I think I even saw a wisdom warehouse nearby." Alexis said as she looked around.
"I just feel like we should explore this town and then get back to our time. The shorter were here the better…"
"Let's see. Enny meeny miny. . .you." She said as she pointed to one building and the another and then another and then her finger finally stopped on one. Her finger stopped on a gift shop at the corner of the street. "Huh, I guess a gift shop it is." She started walking to the shop, not bothering to look if Charity was following or not.
Charity huffed but followed after her silently, shifting in her dark hoodie as she looked around. “Are you sure we should be here?”
"The question should be 'Should we even be in this time period'? And no we shouldn't, but yet here we are. Lighten up a little, Charity. No one knows us here. They don't know we're Americans. Nothing is going to happen. We're just going to explore the town and then we'll leave."
They reached the gift shop and she opened the wobbly flip-shutter. "Ladies first," Alexis said teasingly.
Charity sighed and pursed her lips but shifts her hoodie before walking in. She looked around the shop with a concerned look. "People are already staring"
Aleis shrugged, not really caring if the people were staring or not. "Let them stare, you shouldn't care what people think about you." She said as she walked backwards, grinning.
The people were indeed looking. Some were giving them wonky-donky looks while others just found them amusing. A little girl, around the age of seven looked at Aexis and giggled. "She's laffy taffy," she whispered to her mother. The other in response frowned at Alexis and shook her head.
Charity chuckles softly but didn’t answer. “You may be better at hiding emotions, but I can tell you right now when people stare I’d rather curl up in a ball and die”
Alexis gives her a smile and turns her attention to all the things in the store. "I definitely gonna have to buy something interesting. But also something pretty. Something. . .vintage. . . . maybe. What are you going to buy Charity?"
"Everything in this store is considered vintage in our time…" She whispered, not looking around. "I'm not going to get anything "
"Oh? And why's that? Don't you want something to remind you of your time here?" Alexis asked as she grabbed a cool looking object. She didn't know what it is, but it got her interest.
"No mid rather not. And you shouldn't either. We could alter time if we do something right."
