"Hey, come on," Sorin rubbed the sides of his arms. "There's no need for that."
"Hey, come on," Sorin rubbed the sides of his arms. "There's no need for that."
"You wouldn't smell anxious if nothing was going on. That's not like you."
"Casper, i'm fine. There's absolutely nothing wrong with me."
"Well, who's got something wrong with them, then?" He raised his eyebrows, still not convinced.
He moved closer to him, seeing there was barely anymore space for him to back into. "No one. No one has anything wrong with them."
"Still smells suspicious. You know I'll find out somehow."
Sorin tried to force a smile on his face as he leaned in closer. "Find out that there's absolutely nothing and that you were probably overreacting?"
"That one's fake, my love." Cas said dryly, gesturing to Sorin's smile.
Sorin shook his head. "No it isn't."
"I know what your genuine smile looks like, and that sure as hell isn't it."
"Casper, stop. I'm perfectly fine. There's nothing for you to worry about."
"I'm worried because you're lying to me about something!"
Sorin felt even more guilty at the fact, but didn't have it in him to tell him. "I'm not lying to you!"
"Withholding information counts as lying in my book."
"I'm not hiding anything! Why can't you just let it go?"
"Because that look in your eyes…" Cas whispered, looking away. "You feel guilty for something."
"I don't… I'm fine," he sat upright and sighed deeply as he crossed his arms.
"I-I just… I want to believe you, but all my senses tell me you're not telling me something…"
"Well, your sense are incorrect."
"B-But I know you! I know how you act, and how you react to things, and I can sense and feel what you feel!" Cas turned back towards him, his eyes shining with tears. "And I know this isn't normal behavior for you!"
Sorin looked at him sympathetically and put a hand on his cheek. "Cas… i'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset. I…" he stopped, averting his gaze and shook his head. "I'm fine. Please believe me when I tell you that i'm fine."
Cas rubbed his eyes, shaking his head weakly. "But you… but you aren't acting fine…"
Sorin pulled him into a hug, burying his face into his chest. "It's okay… i'm okay."
"I-I'm sorry…" Cas whispered, clinging tightly to Sorin. His ears and tail twitched while he hid his face.
"There's no need to apologize, Cas…" he lowered his head and nuzzled his hair softly as guilt began eating away at him.
