Quinn was quiet as he ate, not speaking again as he just considered what to say next.
Quinn was quiet as he ate, not speaking again as he just considered what to say next.
Antonio continued to eat quietly trying to decide on the next topic.
Quinn kept eating, sighing faintly.
Antonio hummed a little as he finished up his plate.
Quinn finished as well, and got up, washing off his plate and putting it away.
Antonio followed suit after Quinn before heading over to his own bags to pack up his few belongings.
Quinn took the rest of his food and distributed it among his neighbors.
Antonio had finished packing by the time Quinn had returned. He looked at the other, "You ready to go?"
He nodded faintly. "Yeah. Let me grab my bag."
"Okay," Antonio nodded back slinging his own bag onto his shoulder.
Quinn headed upstairs and grabbed his bag, coming back down after a moment, letting out a breath. "I'm ready to go."
Antonio gave Quinn a little smile, "Great. Uh, you mind leading us out of the city?"
"Yeah. Be very careful not to touch anything." He said, looking over at Antonio. "Or anyone. We don't want to bring the virus out of the city."
"Of course," Antonio gave a quick nod. He didn't want to be the cause of a kingdom-wide outbreak.
Quinn looked around his house one last time, then led Antonio outside, handing him a pair of gloves. "Put these on."
Antonio took the gloves from him and put them on. He would wait for Quinn given that the other was basically leaving everything he had ever known, "Done."
Quinn locked the door and pocketed the key, sighing faintly. "Right. Let's, ah, go."
"Yep," Antonio nodded his words clipping a bit short. He followed Quinn a bit like a lost puppy.
Quinn led him through the streets, wearing the same stuff he usually wore while out; the black and the beaked mask, which covered most of him, leaving only his eyes peering out.
Antonio watched Quinn and realized he would have to make sure Quinn changed once they got far enough away from the city. Otherwise, they would draw more attention to themselves than nessecary.
Quinn probably wouldn't understand that no one outside Ceridwen wore stuff like that. The atmosphere and culture inside of the city was so very different than the outside, it was definitely going to be a culture shock for the blond young man.
Antonio figured he would wait until they were out of Ceridwen to bring it up, so that they could get out of the city with as few issues as possible.
Quinn kept leading Antonio through the streets, quiet and careful. Soon enough, they reached the main gate, which was guarded by a pair of men, sho frowned when they saw the two approaching.
Antonio didn't like the frown on her face. Hopefully, she would let the pair through without Antonio having to go through drastic measures if that would even work here.
One of the guards called out, "What do you two need?"
Quinn hesitated for a moment. "We're leaving the city. I'll come back, but I've got to escort him home."
"Why?" The guard demanded, arching an eyebrow at Antonio.
