Jake seems to laugh harder at his sudden outburst when he said the tables had turned. "Clearly they have! And well, you better prepare yourself because you won't have to worry about being fake around me. I promise I'm a very genuine guy" he smiled warmly. "Of course I did, who wouldn't?" He leaned on Lighter a bit, making him stumble to the side a little as he laughed softly. "Surprised huh? Well its not very surprising to me" he said as they walked in silence for a few seconds. Jake glances over at Lighter when he suddenly speaks up again. "R-really?" Jake blushes a faint red, then decides to get behind Lighter to hug him from the back, making him stop for a brief second before they keep walking again. "Okay"
"Then I'll be genuine with you." He said softly, running a hand through his hair. It was starting to get a little too warm for him. He was definitely removing clothing when they got to his place. He barely caught himself and Jake as they both stumbled. It wasn't surprising to Jake? This guy was interesting. "Yes really." He murmured, blushing slightly at the hug. "Only if you're willing. I mean we met today but…"
Jake had a nice pleasant casual smile on his face when Lighter said that he'd be genuine with him. "Cool~" Jake said with an almost tired nonchalant aura about him. It was around this time that he would get tired, all his extrovertedness was beginning to wear off. He was more of an intovered closed off kinda guy, but Lighter seemed to have a way of prying him open and making him spill his thoughts. He hummed a bit. "I'd love to date you" he said, his eyes flickering to Lighter as he remained relaxed.
Lighter was still buzzed. He still had enough energy to run around for a few more hours, but his headache was starting to appear. That told him it was almost time to pass out and nap until his hangover went away. Hearing Jake's response made lighter stop dead in his tracks. "Seriously?! You'd date me?!" He asked with a bright giggle. "Can we start sometime soon?"
Jake kept walking until he realized that Lighter had stopped. "Hm?" Jake let out a chuckle. "Most definitely~" he said in a sweet soft charming voice. He walked over to where Lighter had stopped. "If you wanna start now…." He leaned towards Lighter and kissed him. "Then I'd be more then totally okay with that~" he looked at Lighter as if he was the only thing worth looking at in the world.
Lighter blushed at the answer, taking a small step back. He was shocked when he felt the warmth of Jake's lips on his. His face flushed a bright red. "I-I uhh…" He hid his face in his hands, groaning softly. He couldn't think straight. "I-I'd… love to start now…" He murmured, glancing up at his new love interest. Holy Hell this guy… he thought.
Jake had a small side smile on his face as he watched Lighter cover his face from embarrassment. He chuckled a bit. "Nice to know the feelings are mutual~" Jake pats Lighter's head when he looks at him. "Have I mentioned before that you're real adorable?"
Lighter bit his lip and picked up his pace. He needed a distraction before his body temperature rose any higher. “Y-You’ve said I was cute before..” he mumbled, his bottle green eyes moving to the ground. “You’re making me nervous, Jake.”
Jake notices that Lighter picked up his speed and he does the same to keep up with him. He couldn't quite hear what Lighter said since he was walking so fast and his voice was barely audible. Jake laughs a bit. "Am I?~ Sorry, that wasn't my intention" he said as he slowed down some.
Lighter slowed down after a few blocks, still red and hot. He felt like he could fly. He had a boyfriend now. Or at least, he hoped he did. He offered his hand, looking a little hopeful. “We’re right at my place but can I hold your hand?” He asked with an innocent smile that didn’t match the rest of him.
Jake's face lit up when Lighter suggested they hold hands. "Absolutely!" He runs up to him since he was a few steps behind Lighter and takes his hand. Jake seemed really happy, like his mood had been lifted again despite his tiredness.
Lighter grinned at the sudden lift in mood. He intertwined their fingers and led them through an alleyway. Lighter paused a few times to pet stray cats that came up to him and meowed. “Hello kitties.” He’d coo to them, “I love you pretty kitties.”
He had always had a soft spot for stray cats. They were just like him in some ways. He’d feed them and wait until they got comfortable enough for him to touch them. Then he named them.
Suddenly, Lighter stopped in front of an abandoned office building, grinning from ear to ear as he opened up the side door and ducked inside, pulling his lover with him. “Welcome to my other home.”
Jake follows him through the alleyway and chuckles at the way Lighter would talk to the stray kittens. Though Jake wasn't much of a cat person. He was actually terrified of them since there was this one incident with a cat when he was younger that scarred him for life.
Jake stopped along with Lighter in front of a building, it looked hella shady but Jake didn't protest when Lighter pulled him inside. Jake smiles. "Thanks~ I appreciate the warm shady welcome~ Are going to harvest my organs now?" He joked.
“Hope you don’t mind cats.” He said after a little bit, grinning from ear to ear. “I swear they’re all nice kitties.”
A soft laugh left his thin lips. He shook his head, gently nudging Jake. “Yes. I’m secretly a serial killer who seduces men so I can kill them and harvest their organs to sell. No of course not.” He snickered darkly. Soon Lighter was leading them through a darkened hallway and up a flight of cramped stairs. A door was opened to reveal a rather welcoming room. A small coffee table had been pulled up from who knows where and placed in the middle of the room, a small tv relaxing on top of it. An old couch sat in front of the tv, looking sad and worn.
In the corner of the room laid a newer-looking mattress, it’s many sheets and blankets folded tidy and neat next to it. The space heater sat next to a microwave lifted on a block of wood. The stolen generator could barely be heard from above, cords snaking their way to it. “Tada!”
Jake laughed when Lighter nudged him and followed on his joke. He walked up the stairs to see an open door. As soon as he saw the room his eyes widen. Even though the place was small and didn't have luxury items it surprisingly held a warm and relaxing atmosphere to it. He walked over to the worn down couch and sat down, he still looked shocked. He looked up at Lighter and whispered in disbelief when Lighter introduced him in. "This place is amazing…" He looks around. Jake probably never felt anything that resonated so close to home like the room, especially with Lighter there. It was the most peaceful he had ever felt in his life and not only did he feel relaxed, he felt safe.
“It’s really nothing too amazing. Found a few items and brought them up. Everything is relatively clean too. I’m tying to keep the place neat.” He replied, moving to sit next to Jake. “I’m glad you like it. I can take the couch tonight if you’d like the mattress.” He hummed, resting his head against Jake’s shoulder.
Jake nods. "I still think it's pretty amazing" He looked around with a warm smile on his face. "A place all to yourself where your family can't find you huh?" He looked over at Lighter when he sits down beside him. "Or we could do it the other way around. I wouldn't mind where I sleep. I could pass out on the floor and it'd still be comfortable for me" He said wrapping an arm around Lighter casually as he rested his head on Lighter's shoulder.
“No one can find me here. It’s my space. I’m safe here.” He said in a soft tone. “No one hurts me here.” With a soft shake of his head, Lighter refused to let Hake sleep on the couch. “No, no. You get the comfy mattress. I like the couch anyways. I’ll just grab a few blankets. And trust me when I say they’re clean. I do wash my blankets every week so they don’t smell gross.” He added quickly, sinking into Jake’s side.
Jake had a sad expression in his face. He felt for Lighter. Maybe he would take him far away from this place as soon as he could. Jake laughs softly. "Alright, I guess there's no arguing about that then~ I'll take you up on that offer" he said before pulling Lighter into a tight embrace.
“Good.” He huffed, grinning softly. He felt a sense of pride in winning this ‘argument.’ Lighter wrapped his arms around Jake, closing his eyes and burying his face in Jake’s shirt. He smelled wonderful. It made his heart swell to think that Jake was here with him, holding him close and tightly. He felt a little relieved he still had his jacket on. It hid his thin frame and bruises.
A small smile appeared on Jake's face as Lighter hugged him back. Jake closed his eyes as he set his head against Lighter's. He felt extremely tired from all the running he had done that day. Having someone beside him felt nice for once. He didn't want to move, he didn't want this to end.
Lighter for the first time in a long time felt loved by someone. He curled up closer, humming happily. “You know, I’d say we should eat but this is too comfortable.” He mumbled, disregarding the the food that had been placed on the coffee table next to the television.
Jake opened his eyes tiredly when Lighter mentioned the food. "Ah, that's right. You should eat before it gets cold" he chuckles. "I get not wanting to move, it feels so nice but you havent eaten and frankly, I'm worried about your health"
“I’ll be fiiinne.” He cooed, laughing softly as he pulled away from Jake. He whined at the cold, standing to turn on the space heater. His jacket was discarded and hung on a nail in the wall. His skeletal frame looked as if it could collapse at any point in time. The bruises, cuts and burns along his arms seemed to travel all the way up to his shoulders. The rest were hidden by his baggy shirt. “Don’t worry so much about me. I’ve been alone for awhile. I know how to survive.” He replied, offering the bag of food to Jake. “I don’t know what you ordered.”
Jake's gaze softens at the sight of Lighter's small fragile body, then when Lighters turns around to offer him the food he stares at Lighter like he's about to strangle him. "Lighter I swear to god if you do not eat the food right now" Jake gets up, a sort of dangerous aura around him, but it goes as fast as it had come. "I'm just really worried about you right now…I don't want my boyfriend collapsing on me! You're too fucking precious for that man" He pushes the bag of food that Lighter was offering him away. "You said you wanted a type of burrito…so I got you a spicy beef burrito…" he looks away, refusing further to not take the food. He had eaten unlike Lighter and was not about to eat something that Lighter absolutely needed.
