Lighter tried to focus. When was the last time he ate? It wasn’t too long ago. “I ate breakfast yesterday.” He mumbled, looking up at Jake curiously. “You can get there faster by train but walking is cool too. You don’t have to carry me.” He said, adding a wink to the phrase: ‘hot stuff.’ Lighter wanted to complain when he was picked up but felt a wave of dizziness hit him. “Hold on, I’m supposed to sweep you off your feet.”
Jake raised an eyebrow to his "ate breakfast yesterday" thing. "Yesterday? What about lunch and dinner? And what about today?" Jake smirked at his wink. "Nope, I'm not putting you down." He said as he kept walking. "And walking is cool, just show me the way" he laughed a bit at his joke. "Me? It doesn't work that way, besides you already did that when we met"
“Didn’t go home to eat. And I’m broke so I couldn’t buy any.” He replied, huffing slightly as he was refused the right to walk. “You’re mean. Walking isn’t cool if you’re being carried.” He mumbled, closing his eyes and growling under his breath. “Mm, did I really? Does that mean I win?”
"Do you have anything at your place to eat? Or should we stop by somewhere to get some food right quick?" he asked as Lighter complained, he scoffed. "Oh come on, you know you like it. You don't even have to walk for crying out loud! Isn't that a good thing?" he looked down at the still tipsy guy who seemed more tired than anything. He smiled and shook his head, this guy was something else. "Yeah yeah, you win, congratulations man," Jake said, feeling assaulted by Lighter's chill personality and how cute he looked in a sleepy-drunk state.
(Is it bad I’m already shipping? Lol)
“I’ve got food, it’s more snack than anything.” He slurred, grinning stupidly up at his new friend. “I guess it is a good thing. But I like to walk.” From behind his closed eyes Lighter let his eyes follow the sound of Jake’s voice. He could imagine the guy’s face pretty well, though his blearyness had distorted his thoughts. “Yay! I won!” He called out, pointing Jake in the direction of hisnplace. “I want more alcohol.” He complained loudly, frowning. “Oh wait… no I dont. I wanna talk to you.”
(Lmaoo no dude I'm like hardcore shipping them as well, I wish they were a thing in my story because I love him so much <3)
Jake narrowed his eyes. "You can't just eat snacks!" He screeched. "That's it, we're stopping by some place even if it's a fast food restaurant. You need a full course meal" he chuckled a bit when he hears Lighter's slurred voice and the excitement behind it. He kept walking in the direction that Lighter pointed him in. "No no no, you can't hav-" Jake blushed a bit when he heard him finish the sentence. "Haha you're so cute but I'm not gonna argue with you there~ Talkin' to you is a pleasure"
(Ahahahaha I love it.)
“Why not?” He asked with a slight glare. “Full course? Oh no. I’m fine. I don’t need it. I’m broke.” His green eyes opened and stared up at Jake. “You’re blushing. You’re the cute one.” He mumbled, letting out a soft laugh. “You’re fun to talk to.”
(mhm~)
Jake rolls his eyes and looks away. "Because snacks don't provide the nutrients you need to be healthy you idiot and who said you're paying?" he looks at Lighter who was staring at him then flinches. "I-I am not." Jake looks away embarrassed then back at Lighter who was laughing. "Ah, you think this is funny? Watch me throw you over a cliff, you nice lookin' human being" he laughed along with Lighter then smiled. Jake looks over at a dim lit mexican restaurant and makes his way over (I'm gonna say it's later in the evening, almost when it's dark out). He walks in and sets Lighter down in a chair. "Got anything you wanna get in mind?"
“I said so.” He stuck his tongue out playfully. “Are too.” His laughter only grew. Jake was fun to tease. He seemed like just the type Lighter liked. “Don’t throw me off a cliff that’s not a good way to die.”
As he was set down, Lighter sighed in relief. “I can walk from here to my place with you. I don’t need carried.” He said quickly. “Mm, any type of burrito.”
(I think I've gone too far with this. I wrote something about both of our characters and it hurt my feelings, now I'm mad at myself lmaoo)
Jake stuck his tongue out back at Lighter, revealing his tongue piercing. "No you're not, I'll be paying. And say that one more time and I'll throw us both off a cliff" Jake huffed and shook his head. "Fine you can walk along with me but if I find that you're not feeling well or walking sideways I'll carry you whether you want to or not" As Lighter was set down and he said what he wanted, Jake went over to the counter to order.
((Oh nooooo XD can I read?? It sounds amazing (And sorry, I was at an author’s convention.)))
Lighter snickered at the peircing. It was rather attractive to him. “Aww. We’d die together.” He said with a smirk. Once granted permission to walk, he grinned and hummed happily to himself. “I win again, Jake.”
(Ah, you're fine my dude and yeah sure, want me to pm it? Though I gotta type it up first since I wrote it down on paper lol)
Jake smirks. "Yeah we would." Then glares at Lighter. "Yeah don't tempt me. I can easily pick you up, you're like a feather" he chuckled. "A really attractive one" he was about to say something else but the guy at the counter called up his number and he went up to pay and get the food for Lighter.
((Haha Yeah sure! Then when I get mine I can send it to you! I write on paper too so I know the struggle!))
Lighter watched him go. The curious smirk on his face didn’t hide the fact he was starting to like the strange male who had bumped into him.
He leaned back in his chair and took a deep breath. His sickness had faded, but the effects of the alcohol had not. He still felt dizzy and awfully hot. He wanted to take off his shirt but knew that was a bad idea here. And yet he wanted to badly.
(Yeah lmao, if I forget a single word in what I'm writing I have to go through the pain of erasing the whole line and rewriting it so it fits, though sometimes I shove it in there without making changes when I'm feel in lazy lol)
Jake grabbed the bag and thanked the guy. He made his way over to Lighter again. "You wanna eat here or eat when we get to your place?" He asked, taking into consideration of how Lighter felt. "Maybe I could get you something to drink?" He offered, seeing how uncomfortable and out of it he looked.
(Meeeeeeee! XD)
“Eat when we get there.” He said quickly. He hated eating in public places. They weren’t his forte. “Nothing to drink. I’ll be alright until we get to the place.” He said softly, looking up at Jake with an almost interested gaze. “I would enjoy a little love however.” He teased, snickering.
(Haha yeah)
Jake nods. "Alright, your place it is and that's cool, I assume you got something to drink at home?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow. Jake narrowed his eyes at Lighter when he looked up at him curiously. "Please don't look at me like that, you're making me feel like a girl" he said, a bit of blush on his cheeks, he then flinched when Lighter teased him. "I-I'm not sure if I'm up to your expectations" he said all flustered like. Sometimes he didn't even know how to act around someone he liked or whether to take them seriously or not.
“I do. I have water there. No alcohol. It’s not safe to keep it where I live.” He replied. A soft giggle left Lighter’s lips. “A girl? Want me to stop my teasing then?” He asked with a sly smile, standing to lean against the table. “You don’t even know my expectations, Jake… maybe you fit every one.” He snickered, something he seemed to do when drunk. “Mm, we’ll have to see, won’t we? You’re already attractive.”
(Pffftt btw, when Lighter gets drunk he’s rather flirty. Just in case you didn’t catch that lmao)
"Well thats good to know-" Jake flushed a bright red. "Are you-" he didnt get to finish as Lighter kept going, making Jake feel even more flustered. "We'll have to see?? What does that even mean!" Jake loved teasing people but he couldn't seem to take the teasing back. "Well if you think I'm attractive then you must be on a whole other level" he tried smiling. O H F U C K he thought. What is he trying to do? Make me fall for him??? He froze. "Oh wait." He said out loud accidently.
(Lmaoo yeah I noticed, he's like totally goin' for it, he's so cute <3)
Lighter giggled at the reaction he was able to pull from Jake. This guy was so fun to tease. Better yet, he had a cute reaction. “I am, Jake. I’m on a different level than everyone. And that is a good thing.” He flashed a charming smile. Lighter didn’t give Jake time to recover before he was grabbing the food and taking Jake’s wrist to pull him. He didn’t quite walk in a straight line but it was enough for him to at least function. “‘Oh wait’ what? Did you just realize something?” He asked with a teasing grin. “Yes you’re attractive and yes I’m into males just as much as I am into females. I especially love males with piercings.” He teased, letting his eyes flicker over Jake’s form.
(Aha Thank you. Honestly Lighter can be a hoe at times. BUT SERIOUSLY, Jake is adooorraabblllee. His fluster is so cuuuttee. Just be tooogeetthheree you two.)
(ahhhhh thanks man he's a messy boi lmao and don't worry bout Lighter, we love a good chaotic character ;))
"Stop!!" Jake hisses while his face still had the red blush from earlier. "I am no such thi-" he was cut short as Lighter grabbed the food and pulled him out of the restaurant. Jake giggled some as Lighter's semi-drunk walking then lifted an eyebrow at his question. "Well no and yes…and really? You're into ma-WHAT" was all Jake was able to choke out. He could feel the heat rush to his cheeks again. curse this guy He thought as his heart raced a little faster.
((I love the messy Boi. :D And lighter's drunk rambling.))
Lighter burst into laughter. Jake was too cute. He was too easy to fluster and Lighter found that perfect. He enjoyed a good tease every now and then. "Yes I am." He hummed happily, pulling the still red Jake with him. "Is something wrong?" He asked, tilting his head with a devilish smile. His charm really came out when it came to flirting. He was good at it too. Well, in his mind he was.
(Lmao saame~)
Jake blushed a bit harder when Lighter confirmed his interests for the other gender. "No not really" he muttered as he saw Lighter's devilish grin. "Don't look at me like that!" He turned completely red as he looked away. He had to admit, the guy was really charming and cute, despite him being slightly drunk. "Y'know, you're real adorable."Jake stated, not knowing what else to say. "I'd probably date a guy like you" he looked over at Lighter to see what his reaction was on the matter.
Lighter's grin seemed to grow. He really enjoyed this night. It was better than his entire life combined. Even when Jake looked away he didn't stop the grin, still laughing. "Am I really tha-" He began, his drunken brain suddenly processing what he had said. "Date me?!" He felt his face heat. "You were serious with your flirting?" He was serious about his too, but he had figured Jake was just being playful. He didn't actually expect the guy to like him. "W-would you really? Date me that is?"
Jake let out a nervous laugh. "Ha! Looks like the tables have turned!" He said looking at Lighter's red face. He scoffs. "I'm all things, but fake isn't one of them" he said smiling at Lighter. "And well yeah, I mean, where else am I gonna find someone like you?" Jake laughed even more at his stuttering in the end there. "Is it that surprising? Come on, don't tell me you didn't know that you make people feel some sort of way. Looks like your charms even worked on me" he smirks.
"No they haven't! I'm used to fake." he huffed, flashing a nervous smile back. Jake was different, that was for sure. "Mm, so you did fall for me?" He asked, a hopeful look on his red face. He flushed suddenly, letting out a soft sound. "Y-yes it is! I'm surprised my charm got to you." he fell silent, unsure of how to act. He shifted every now and then. The road to his place was coming up, he chose to focus on that instead of his embarrassment. "Maybe I'll consider giving you a chance. Dating is always fun."
