Eugene would have to agree. He had only known this man for a few hours, yet he felt like they had actually known each other for years. It sometimes took him a while to make connections like this, connections to people where he felt instantly comfortable with. "It is fun, you're right. We're like cogs that fit together just perfectly in a clockwork mechanism."
Jay nuzzled into Eugene’s neck, smiling happily at the other’s words. “I love it so much!” He hummed, giggling happily and hugging Eugene close again.
“You make me feel overly happy, you know? I love it but I feel all weird and fuzzy inside.”
Eugene shivered slightly with the new feeling of Jay nuzzling his neck. He had a bright, yet soft smile. He hadn't stopped holding Jay close, loving the feeling and comfort of it. "I do too. It's really strange, yet I help loving it."
“Strange is the right word for it. We should have talked sooner.” He hesitated for a moment, letting his hands feel how strong Eugene’s back was.
“Do you… would you…” he swallowed back the nervousness that threatened to overwhelm him, feeling his face heat.
Jay lifted his head, leaning in close to Eugene and flashing a nervous smile. “This is such a silly question to ask, but would you mind if I stole a kiss?”
Eugene agreed with a soft hum. His smile softened, noticing how nervous Jay was as he listened. He grew nervous as well, of course.
Eugene's smile shifted into a nervous one, but a smile nonetheless. Not bothering to say anything, he instead closed the remaining space between their faces. He softly and gently kissed Jay, the nervousness temporarily melting away.
Jay let out a soft sound of surprise as Eugene closed the gap between them but he soon melted into the other, bringing a hand up to cup the other’s cheek.
Jay kept the kiss chaste, pulling away slowly after a small moment. He shivered lightly at how electric his lips felt, how giddy his chest felt.
“Good lord… that was-“ he cut himself off with a soft laugh, stealing away another quick kiss. “It was amazing.”
Eugene's smile instantly returned to his face. It was everything and more than he would have imagined. No matter how short or small it had been. "I would have to agree, but let me add to it; that was my first kiss. You just stole my first kiss." He said, a bright smile on his lips all the while.
"I can't think of a better person though, except maybe Harry Styles, but I don't that's gonna be happening any time soon." He giggled and rested his forehead on Jay's.
“It was?” Jay blinked, playing with Eugene’s hair as he studied the other. “No way. You’re too attractive to not have kissed anyone before me. Was I at least good?” He asked with a soft laugh, shaking his head.
“Oh Harry Styles is everyone’s choice for first kiss. He’s just hot.” Jay winked, smiling at the other as their foreheads connected again.
“I’ve always wanted to kiss you. You just look kissable.”
With that, Eugene's face returned to the redness that it had been for the majority of the night. Although, he did melt into Jay's touch and his smile stayed. "Mhmm." He hummed, not really trusting himself to say anything else. But he wasn't lying. Jay seemed to be a good kisser even though Gene didn't know any better, or worse for that matter.
Eugene's question was how long had Jay wanted to kiss him? And if he wanted to for so long, why hadn't they talked or gotten to know each other sooner?
Jay closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. “God I wish i hadn’t been such a coward and just asked you out.” He huffed, pouting playfully.
“Then I would have had this entire time with you and not just during a quarantine.”
"I wish you had asked me out earlier as well. Of course, I could have done it as well. But I wasn't in love at first sight, somehow." Eugene smiled. The whole thing was like a fantasy, and one he'd probably enjoy reading about or watching a movie about, although he'd never admit it.
Jay rolled his eyes slightly. He laughed softly and leaned back a little to look at Eugene's face, sighing. "So I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic, it's just in my blood to be." He flashed a grin, cupping Eugene's face again. "You can't say you hate that though, right? You can't say you dislike it."
Eugene giggled a little with Jay, gazing into his eyes. "You're right, it'd be a crime to say I disliked it." He said, placing one of his hands on top of one of Jay's and lightly stroking it with his thumb. "I find it adorable and charming and lovely and even attractive in a way. I can't say why though."
"Really? You don't find me weird then?" Jay mused, only teasing. He knew the other didn't think anything bad of him, or at least he hoped so. He liked Eugene and hoped the other liked him back.
"You know, I'm usually more charming than this but you took all my confidence away. I think it's just because you're so attractive and cute all the time."
"Not weird in the slightest," Eugene said softly, more as an afterthought, busy being lost in his eyes and touch. There was not even the smallest thought of bad thoughts about Jay, Eugene only saw and thought good things about him.
"Well, that makes two of us then, I'm not usually this flustered and shy. And now because of this," he said referring to the two of them, "I don't know if I'll ever not be flustered."
“Good, because I happen to think you’re lovely.” He stole a quick kiss, laughing softly as he listened to the other speak.
“That’ll be fun, it means I can make you flustered whenever I want, and it’s cute to see you blush so much.”
With that, Eugene buried his face in the crook of Jay's neck, hiding his face. "You may think it's cute, but it's almost embarrassing for me." He complained, his words muffled by Jay's skin. He was really happy and glad to be able to do that. He was able to be close to Jay, but still, hopefully, hide some of his blushing. Although, he was unsure why he felt like he had to hide it.
"Embarrassing?" Jay grinned wickedly. He wrapped his arms around Eugene and brought him close, snickering softly. He really did find the other cute when he blushed so much. "Nooo, don't hide your face, I like it when you blush." He pouted playfully, gently rubbing circles into the other male's back.
Eugene smiled, tightening his loose grip around Jay. "I know you do~. It's just kinda like an instinct to hide my face, I'm not really sure why. My brain tells my body to do it and it does it without question…I guess I'll try not to as much, but not right now. I like this too much." He said softly, nuzzling the other's neck.
Jay kissed Eugene’s head lovingly, smiling happily. “I like it too, just cuddling like this.” He let out a soft laugh, letting his eyes slip closed. “You’re so warm and easy to hold. I love it. I’m glad I finally talked to you. This movie was fun,”
(And here we are, back on another season of "Imaegine is a bad roleplay partner"! Yeah, so I've been really inactive, as you can tell, but I'm having trouble writing and being motivated to write or roleplay. So I am 'officially' taking a break now. I have no idea how long it will last, but it'll definitely be a bit. I'm totally okay, just very unmotivated to write or rp. Sorry about this.)

"Yeah, it's about time you made a move. I mean, I wasn't crushing on you but I would've given you a chance if you'd asked." Eugene said into the skin of Jay's neck. He had closed his eyes as well, relishing in the warmth and comfort the was now associated with Jay.
(Don’t worry about it! Take all the time you need. It’s healthy to take a break!)
Jay scoffed playfully, shaking his head. “I was crushing on you hard. I mean, who wouldn’t?” He asked with a soft laugh, a grin lighting up his features. “But you’re right. I should’ve made a move earlier.”
At that, Eugene buried his face deeper into the crook of Jay's neck, if that was possible. "Better late than never I suppose. At least now we have a reason to be around each other all the time." He said softly then daring to gently peck Jay's neck.
