Here it iiisss!!!
Okey
I’m bored and this corona virus quarantine is suffocating
Sooooo I started thinking of story ideas.
Get this, two roommates are quarantined together. They get tired of just sitting around and ignoring each other so they decide to start talking.
Turns out they got a lot in common and quite enjoy each other’s company. Maybe a little too much?
Nah. They fall in love or whatever and yee.
It’ll be cliche but uhm. I kinda like that 👉🏻👈🏻
LGBTQ+ friendly
Might end up a little spicy if y’all want it to go that way. Could just be a nice little fluff rp. Y’all choice.
Perfect! So templates or no?
Would you prefer a template or just to jump in? I’ve found some people do prefer not to and some that do.
Yeah, I've noticed that as well. But I'm thinking maybe a simplified one since they're roommates and at least know each other a little bit.
Sounds good!
I’ll put one up!

Jay felt like he was going to gouge his eyes out if he had to stay inside for any longer. He couldn’t stand the small space he shared with his roommate any longer. He wanted to go outside and live. Sure he could take a walk around campus every now and then but even that was discouraged and it wasn’t quite the same as hiking up a mountain trail. There wasn’t any adventure to it.
He flopped onto his bed, letting out a loud groan. His sketchbook was resting next to his pillow but he didn’t feel much like drawing at the moment. “I swear if this lasts any longer I’m going to yeet myself out that window,” he huffed, not really speaking to anyone.
Eugene was quite the opposite. Quarantine was his excuse to not feel bad about his hermit-type and lazy lifestyle. He wasn't as lazy as one might think though, he was always baking or decorating the things he cooked or taking pictures of those things. Although, he was getting tired of not see the few friends he did have and taking pictures of just his campus or dorm. Not being able to leave, made him miss it quite a bit. After the whole thing is over, Gene knew he would definitely go and do more.
He heard his roommate's comment through the pathetic excuse for a wall between their rooms, giggling a little to himself. "I feel that. Not sure if either of us could fit through the window though." He wasn't sure if that had been directed to him or not, but it was about time to talk more with his roommate since they were basically the only people that each other could see.
Jay let out a breathy laugh, leaning his head back against the wall that separated him from his roommate. He wasn’t going to lie, he loved the way Gene’s voice sounded right now. Jay was a little needy. He knew that a little too well and knew that’s what drove people away.
“I want to, though.” He said in a pout, picking up his pencil to twirl it around his fingers. When it flicked out of his hand and onto the floor he didn’t bother to go pick it up. “Come over here and help me widen this window. Then we can both get out of here.” Jay grinned, laughing at the thought.
(Ahh I just realized I said some stuff about a break-up in Eugene's template. That was specific to a roleplay that he was in before, I just copied and pasted some stuff without reading it lol. And btw the rp died before I got any developing of his personality or anything else.)
Eugene laughed louder than he had before. "I know… I'm coming." He said before over-dramatically groaning as he got off his bed. A few seconds later, he appeared in the doorway of Jay's room. His curls kind of all over the place since there was no reason to do anything with it if he doesn't leave the dorm room. "K, let's do this. But before doing so, do you wanna try one of the cupcakes I was baking a few hours ago? I really want someone else besides just me to eat them"
(That’s okay! I assumed it was something that was either rp specific or something I’d learn later on. Thanks for the clarification!!)
Jay grinned at the response, his heart fluttering at the sound of the other. He hadn’t seen much of his roommate but it was enough for Jay to decide that Eugene was quite attractive.
Jay slid off his bed, his ears turning pink when he realized his room was probably a huge mess. (It was. It always was.) “Oh I’d love to. It always smells really good when you cook.” He nodded softly, running his fingers through his own messy hair. “How many cupcakes did you make?”
"Hmm I think three dozen?? I'm beyond bored so I went a little overboard when making them… but hey, we have quarantine cupcakes. And probably cakes and cookies and scones and maybe even croissants if I can work up the nerve to attempt them." Gene giggled before turning around to go to the kitchen. He grabbed one of the containers that held eight of the thirty-six cupcakes. He took the whole container and was right back to Jay's room.
Eugene definitely kept his room cleaner, but he really didn't mind a mess. The only place a mess was unacceptable was the kitchen, especially when he's cooking. "K, so I never asked if you have a flavor preference. I made chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet. The ones in the container are the red velvet ones." He held them out so Jay could see them.
“Three…!” He shook his head, trying to stifle his laughter. “How’d you manage to make so many!? Have you only been baking?” Jay tilted his head, grinning happily at the other.
By the time Eugene had returned, Jay had fixed up his room to a presentable state and was sitting on the edge of his bed. “Honestly, if it’s sweet I’ll eat it.” He flashed a grin and patted the bed next to him. “Wanna come sit?”
"Yeah, three. Baking is, like, the only thing that is fun and makes me feel like I'm being productive, so sometimes I go overboard." Gene nodded and sat down next to Jay, opening the container to reveal the cupcakes. He had decorated these ones like roses. "Eat as many as you like, as you know I made way too many." He took one for himself and started on it, a smile on his lips. He hadn't tried the red velvet ones yet.
“That’s how my art is with me. Feels good to do something like that.” Jay replied, pulling his legs to his chest as he took one of the cupcakes.
“You decorated this?? Man, it’s almost too perfect to eat!” He watched Gene take a bite, his own smile appearing as he too decided to try the cupcake. “Tastes like heaven.”
"Of course I decorated it, that's the best part! Besides eating it of course. But I've gotten over that since I've decorated cakes and cupcakes for a very long time now. But yeah when I practiced a while ago, I would be too proud sometimes to eat it. But not much later, I'd find a piece taken out of a cake by my dad, he never missed the chance to have cake." He ended up rambling, not meaning to talk that much. "Ahh sorry for the lengthy explanation." Eugene took another bite of his cupcake.
Jay laughed softly, resting back against his wall as he listened to his roommate. “Oh don’t worry about it. It’s nice to get to know the person I’ve been living with finally. You’ve probably heard every little thing I’ve ever done in this room and yet I feel like I don’t exactly know you.”
Eugene did the same, definitely too lazy to not lean himself up against the wall. "Well, I actually don't know you all that well either, it's not like you tell your life story to yourself or over the phone. I'm kinda surprised we hadn't talked much before, we seem to be getting along just fine now." He smiled, turning his head to look at the man sitting next to him.
“Ah you have a point.” Jay turned his head to look at Eugene as he spoke, nodding softly. “Well, why not start now? We’re going to be spending massive amounts of time together because of this quarantine. It’d be so much better than just being alone.”
Jay didn’t like to feel lonely. He couldn’t stand the quiet room he was currently sitting in unless he was talking with someone over the phone or in person.
"Sounds good to me. I seem to be more suited to be alone than you, but that won't last much longer, I do need human contact, believe it or not." Gene giggled a little. He had finished his cupcake, throwing the wrapper into the container and grabbing another one. "Oh yeah, not sure if I said this, but have as many as you want, and I can also go get another flavor if you would like as well." He loved sharing the things he baked, and now the only person he could do that with was Jay, but he didn't mind as long as it wasn't just himself.
“I hate being alone. It’s just, not fun.” He murmured, smiling softly at Eugene’s giggle. He liked the sound, strangely enough.
Wow
Jay really needed to get some social interaction.
“Thank you. These are really good. It’s hard not to eat twenty in a sitting.” He joked, throwing his own wrapper in with the other as he took another cupcake to enjoy.
“Sooooo…. Since we’re going to be quarantined for so long, wanna hang out sometimes? You can always decline because that’s your right, but well, I think it’d be fun. I have Netflix and Hulu and all that on my computer, we could watch a movie sometime.”
