Evan climbed into the front seat, watching Nico curiously as he answered. “18+ huh~?” He teased, grinning wickedly. “That’s a shame, 18+ things are rather fun~”

Nico snickered,
"So I've heard! Seems like fun, drinkin' an' partyin'. Just never really had the friends for it…"
He paused,
"Well, I guess James an' Ty wouldn't mind, but they're teenagers, it'd be weird to just rock up like a adult it somethin'"

Evan shook his head as he started down the road towards their apartment.
“You know, if you ever did want to do any of that partying and drinking stuff, I’d be happy to do it with you. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I want to be at least friends with you. You’re cool.” Evan flashed a small smile in Nico’s direction.
“That and I have a lot of alcohol… I might have a small problem with drinking but drunkard me is solitary and locks himself away so there’s not a lot of damage done.”

"I wonder what I'd be like drunk?" He hummed, leaning his head against the window,
"Probably cry then pass out, I couldn't see myself doing much else."

"I get a little flirty, or so Ven says. I don't think much of it. I'm not a loud drunk, just a shy flirty one." He responded softly, laughing at himself. "If you cried I'd come comfort you. I don't like seeing you cry."

"Who's Ven?" he asked, eyes glued to the passing scenery.

"One of my friends. They're pretty fun, bit of a troublemaker though… Ven came and gave me a whole bunch of alcohol to have since they know I won't go out during all of this." He smiled and shook his head. "Ven is one of my closest friends, they've just recently came out as nonbinary and I respect them a lot for it."

"That's cool." he hummed.
"I had a friend named Ben once, which kinda sounds like Ven. But he passed away and stuff, so I only really know what he was like as a child. Though, he did say he wanted to be a firefighter one day. He was a good kid, wish he was still around today…"
Nico turned red and laughed awkwardly,
"Sorry- I over-shared a bit there. Kinda just made thing sad didn't it?"

Evan shook his head and gave Nico a side smile, trying to reassure him. "Don't worry about it. I'm sorry to hear he's gone, he sounds like a good kid."
Evan sighed as he turned into the parking lot for their apartment and parked. But he didn't get out right away, he turned the car off and leaned his head back against the seat, closing his eyes.
"Shall we head inside?" He asked quietly, rubbing at his face. He was exhausted.

"Yeah, okay."

They sat inside the apartment, tv playing softly in the background,
"Hey, did you ever have a girlfriend growing up?"
they'd been playing monopoly for a good 20 minutes, before Nico decided to start a conversation.

Evan seemed to freeze up at the question, fingers playing idly with the Monopoly money set aside. He looked up at Nico and laughed nervously.
“Ah hell, I did. I was closeted for a really long time. I only got a girlfriend to make sure people left me alone and the ‘rumors’ of me being gay to quiet down. My school and hometown wasn’t very accepting of ‘my type of people.” He smiled sadly at Nico, Tilting his head.
“Why do you ask? Have you had a girlfriend? A-are you gay too? Or something like pan? Bi?” He asked carefully, not wanting to be rude about it.

Nico shrugged,
"I don't know. I really never felt strongly to anyone after the incident, kinda just closed myself off. I did have a girlfriend, once. She was a bit of a horse girl though. She runs a Real Estate company now."

Evan nodded his understanding, sitting back on his hands and glancing at the window for a moment. “Real estate huh? Man, people are doing so good in life…” he bit his lip and sighed, looking back to Nico. “Was she a good girlfriend? Did you like her?”

Nico handed him some Monopoly rent money,
"Yeah, I guess. about as good as a 6th grade girlfriend could be. She was nice, always wanted me to come to her dog shows though." He fiddled with the shoe he picked as a playing piece,
"She didn't run the dog shows, her yorkie was a best in show. I went once, almost choked to death on dog fur and Karens, it was awful"

Evan raised a brow and grinned as the money was handed over to him. He rolled for his turn and bit his lip as he counted the spaces.
“I couldn’t do a dog show. They’re fun to watch on the tv though,” he smiled at Nico. “But 6th grade, huh? Such a lady killer~” he teased, giggling.

Nico mock-gagged,
"I don't even know why I agreed to "date" her, probably just didn't know how to say no back then,"
He rolled for his turn,
"In high school, everyone had girlfriends or friend groups like that, but I never really had them. I had people from youtube, and the people who watched my videos, to talk to, but that was it. I had to get along knowing I didn't need people to feel at home; and now I've got so many amazing people in such a short span of time I don't really know what to do with myself anymore…"

Evan laughed more at the feigned gag, so much so he had to set down his money so it wouldn’t go all over the floor.
He calmed down soon enough, watching Nico with soft eyes.
“I’m glad you have good people around you. Friends are a necessity, I didn’t realize that for a long time. I thought I could go without them. But I really couldn’t, human brains are weird in the way they need human interaction and touch.”

"Yeah, to go so long without human touch, I couldn't imagine… People get touch starved very easy, even for a young age, we are born to seek interaction and attention from our parents," he cocked his head,
"How come you didn't want friends?"

"Being touch starved sucks…" He complained, hugging himself and playfully pouting. "I hate it a lot, sometimes I have Ven and my other friends come over just to cuddle." He cracked a smile, laughing softly.
His smile faded a small bit at the question. He ran a hand through his hair and shrugged.
"I didn't think I was worth the time and effort, I didn't want anyone to have to deal with me. Thought having friends or asking for attention or love was selfish. I've learned its not bad, but I'm still trying to unlearn a few things…" He laughed nervously, shrugging it off. "It's not too big of a deal now, I have friends now."

"Ya know, we're kinda the opposite of each other, in that sense, at least."
he whispered,
"You didn't really actively look for friends, where I really tried to have at least someone on my side. I had my sister, and Joshy when he was still living with us, but that's it."
he look up from his hands,
"Do you have any siblings, Ev?"

Evan felt his heart skip a beat at the nickname, his face turning a light shade of pink.
“Siblings…? Oh yeah.” He rubbed at the back of his neck, smiling. “Two older. One sister and one brother.They’re both my half-siblings though, I was kind of a late addition to the family.” He smiled softly. “My brother, Ethaniel, owns a small company run by a larger one in Nevada, my sister, Maddy, is working through college to get her PhD in some weird sub proffession of Anthropology. They’re both lots of fun but they’re so much older than me it’s a little weird.”

Nico nods his head,
"Why's your brother all the way in Nevada? Are you American?"
he interrupts before Evan can answer,
"I'm for England- so I don't really know anything about the US."

Evan's eyes widened at Nico, he leaned forwards and grinned. "England!? Really!? That's amazing!" His grin turned into a bright smile.
"But yes, I am American, or at least partial. My biological father is Brazilian. And as for my brother, he's in Nevada because the company is based there. My family lives here, but my sister attends school a few cities away from here." He sighed softly at the thought."

Nico shrugged,
"Londons not that cool. Lots of drugs and rain, sometimes rats. If you look closely at the side walks you might find a fossiled piece of shit from the Georgian era." he laughed.
"America seems like a fun place. Ya'know, besides all the violence and protests. I heard LEGO land is a cool place."
