“I’m fine, fine. Just breathe, focus on me.” He said, taking her shaking hands in his and holding them tight.
“I’m fine, fine. Just breathe, focus on me.” He said, taking her shaking hands in his and holding them tight.
Macha couldn't focus, physically could not focus her eyes. Everything was blurry, shifting, out of focus, an aftereffect of her episode. "I didn't tell you before– I was so stupid– I should have told you– I'm so sorry–" Her heart squeezed, her mouth went dry, pulse jumped unevenly. Panic attack.
“Shh..look into my eyes. Hold on Macha, you can get past this..” Tyler held her head gently across from his and kept eye contact with her, willing her to do the same. He fed happy and claming emotions into her. Breathe..
Macha tried again, barely able to locate his eyes. She could feel him channelling positive emotions, but it wasn't working. Trying to take deep breaths, she spluttered out "I should have told you– I can– I get flashes of– the future–"
“Macha, Macha..you can tell me, just calm down first. It’s okay, it’ll be okay..” He pulled her into his lap and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, taking deep breaths.
It took a while, but eventually Macha calmed down enough to form a coherent sentence. "I can– Sometimes, I get these… glimpses. And I can never remember them, until…. until they actually happen. Sometimes it takes months, sometimes it takes fifteen minutes– I hadn't had one in a while– I thought it was going to be okay– I should have told you."
“No..you didn’t have to tell me if you didn’t want to. I didn’t tell you I was half demon until it happened. It’s okay..”
"But even when you told me– I didn't say anything– I am so so sorry–" Guilt rolled around in her stomach.
“Don’t..don’t be sorry. I don’t care what happens, or who you become. You will never hurt me and I will always love you..”
"No– you don't understand– a little girl touched me once, during an episode– she died– I killed her–" Macha squeezed her eyes shut, the awful memories resurfacing.
“You had no control..y-you couldn’t stop it..” He said quietly, hugging her tight.
"That's what I've been trying to tell you, about you– about your– about the demon." She curled up into him, hating herself for being so weak. Squeezing her eyes shut even tighter, she tried desperately to force down the rising tide of memories and regret.
Tyler closed his eyes and held her close against his chest, never wanting to let go.
Macha gripped him tighter. "I'msorryI'msorryI'msorry–", she kept saying to him, over and over again until her word slurred together.
"Me too.." He answered quietly, tears rising into his eyes as he buried his face in her shoulder.
"You have no reason to be– it's my fault– I messed up everything again–" Macha was struggling not to cry, willing herself to be stronger.
"No you didn't. You couldn't..control it.."
Macha stayed silent for a moment. "I know.", she whispered, pained.
"We can get through this.."
"I really, really hope so." After a minute of catching her breath, Macha tried to stand.
Tyler helped her to her feet, holding onto her carefully. "Can you walk?"
"Y-yeah." She wasn't sure how true that was. "I'm fine." They made there way back to the house. Guilt rolled around in her stomach, so she kept her eyes on the ground, trying to remember what she'd seen. All she remembered was blood, blood and blue hair. Tyler.
Tyler looked worriedly down at her. "What is it? What's wrong?" He asked quietly.
Macha inhaled shakily. "The visions– I can't remember most of them usually– this time I just remember fear, blood– blood and blue hair." She looked up at him. "Like yours.!
"A-are they always true?"
