They notice the glance, and sigh softly.
"I am. 7'5", to be exact. And yes, the weather is nice up there." they grin.
Saul nods. "It is."

Saul nods. "It is."
Gus nodded, obiously impressed, then smiled warmly at the quip. He often got compliments about his baking, but it felt oddly… different… coming from Saul. Even if it wasn't even much of a praise.
Gus slowly straightened, clearing his throat and looking -up, might I add- toward the tall, formidable figure.
"So… did you come here for something?" He said, timidly
Saul laughs slightly when Gus nods.
They flinch slightly at the mention of why they came.
"I-" they start, and then they sigh, almost a groan, a surprised sound. "I guess I came here to see you."
Gus tilted his head, staring up at Saul as a gentle smiled crossed his lips.
“Oh, uh, well… here I am!” He joked, grinning happily
"Yes. Here you are…" Saul murmurs, looking away from Gus with a flush spreading across their face.
Gus looked over, noticing the blush Sauk donned and returning to his cake.
“Well uh… d-did you want me to… g-go back…?” He stammered, remembering the awful night he endured
"No! No, never go back. Never." Saul says, the words coming out in a rush. Their head turns as they say this, eyes wide and- scared.
Gus jumped, flinching slightly as he quickly looked away. "O-o-okay." He stuttered softly, wringing his hands together
Saul sighs, thinking to theirself I've done it now, haven't I…
"I- I'm sorry. Augustus Spring, neither of us can go back. Ever. I… I made a mistake." they murmur, their eyes shining srangely.
Gus tilted his head, moving a bit closer to Saul as he looked up with nervousness. "What do you mean? What happened?"
"My… followers…" Saul said, the words being spit out as though they were poison. "Are more into 'the cause' than I am. They do not believe I should have let you go."
Gus flunched again at his harsh tone, looking down at his soft hands. "I-i'm sorry…" He muttered
Saul sighs, and his face and tone soften. "It's not your fault. None of this is."
They get up. "I need… sleep." they sigh. "Is there a guest room I can use?"
Gus nodded. "Uh… you can use my bed." He said calmly, taking the plates and then starting upstairs. "Its just up to the left…"
Saul pauses.
"Your bed…?" they say. "Don't you sleep there?"
Gus chuckled. "Well, you're my guest! And I don't have another bed, I'll be fine on the couch." He grinned, opening the door for Saul
Saul shakes their head. "No."
Gus chuckled. "No what? Go on in! I'll be fine!"
"No, I'm not using your bed. That's yours. I can sleep on the couch. I am the guest, after all." Saul laughs, disappearing into the living room. The usual scent of black pepper, mint and cinnamon lingers.
Gus sighed, grabbing some blankets and brining them down to the couch for Saul
Saul has already fallen asleep, their form black and shadowy, almost like it isn't even there. He looks… shorter, and younger.
Gus smiled softly, gently putting a blanket over them. “Goodnight.” He whispered, going back up to his room
Saul murmurs and stirs, but doesn't wake. The next morning, they wake up and don't have any recollection of the night before until they see what they're wearing.
Oh, gods… they think, slowly getting up and stretching. They go into the bathroom and shower, then get out and click their fingers. A fresh set of clothes appears from their wardrobe: a somehwhat brighter outfit than usual. Blue jeans, and a white tee. Black running shoes. They step out of the bathroom.
Gus was already up, not being the type to sleep in. He was busy in the kitchen, tediously putting together an extravagant breakfast whilst wearing an old, tight shirt, and some shorts.
"Saul?" Gus called, hearing a noise from the bathroom not too far off
Saul calls out from the hall.
"Yeah?" they ask, listening to the sounds of food being made.
