Kai chuckled tiredly, shifting Xio off his lap and using the wall to help him stand. He hated looking so weak in front of her, "One, it's not that cold in here, and two, yeah, let's head up to my room, my bed is better then the couch…"
Xio stood hurriedly, offering her arm to help him. She was more worried about his health. “To your room? Where is it?” She asked, her blush returning. “I’ll help you there.”
"Upstairs." He muttered, wrapping an arm around her waist as he hobbled out the room. He led them up the stairs and down the hallway, passing a spare room, his parents room and a bathroom. He opened a light blue painted door.
Inside was a room lit by the light of the sun, the white curtains fluttering in the wind. His desk sat below the window, papers strewn everywhere. A blue guitar sat next to that. In the middle of his room was a queen sized bed, white sheets and blue pillows with ice patterns.
Xio, upon arriving to the room, looked around as she helped Kai to the bed. His room was charming and matched him. The guitar caught her interest but she moved on, sitting on the edge of the bed once Kai was helped up onto it. Her fingers traced the patterns of wrinkles that appeared around her.
“How are you feeling?” She asked quietly, looking over at him with a shy disposition. It felt strange to be in his room. And yet she felt closer to him than ever before.
Kai leaned back into the pillows, scrunching up his face to ease the headache that was starting to form. He opened his eyes a second later, "Tired, I have a bit of a headache but it's not too bad, yet anyway," He sighed softly, rolling onto his stomach and draping an arm over Xio's stomach, "You okay?"
She bit her lip, worried for him. How he managed to go through everything alone escaped her. He had even felt with the bully at school while battling these attacks.
But her worry dissipated when she felt his touch. “I’m alright. I’m just worried for you.” She replied, playing with his hair. “I really do care for you.” Xio but her lip. She wanted to confess that she knew she had fell for him but found her tongue tied. She couldn’t do it, it was a little intimidating.
Kai looked up at her, his blue eyes meeting her brown ones. He smiled softly, bringing her in a little closer to his side. He didn't think he ever wanted to let her go every again. He wanted her to stay safe in his arms where he knew he could protect her, "I really care for you too. And I don't want to loose you."
If Tanz couldn't figure out something to stop these attacks, Kai knew one day it would kill him. His powers were just too strong for him to hand when they became uncontrollable. But he didn't let his smile falter as he thought these things.
Xio smiled at him, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. “You won’t lose me. I’m pretty attached to you now.” She joked, giving him a light squeeze. He was rather warm for someone who had just had an ice attack.
“Thank you for inviting me over Kai. Your family is amazing.” It was to change the subject but she truly meant it. “And your mother is so nice. I wish she was my mother to be honest.”
Kai chuckled, shifting slightly so he could lie on his side and look at her properly, "I'm sure she'd *love to have another child. Especially you, she already loves you so much," He shrugged, "Though she is mine."
He felt slightly weird talking about Giselle as his mother, even though it had been ages since he was legally her child. He still say Maria as he first mother and no one would be able to replace that, but Giselle was a close second.
Xio laughed softly at the thought. “It depends on how she’d adopt me. I wouldn’t mind marrying into the family.” She teased with a wink. Xio laid on her back, running a hand through her hair and knocking her flower crown from her head. “Kai, I’m actually really excited for our date.” She said suddenly. “It’s hard for me to explain but it makes me so giddy when I think about it.”
Kai flushed at her suggestion, burying his face in the crook of her neck to hide it. He sighed a little, though he was still smiling, "Me too. I feel the same. Though a lot of it is nerves and me overthinking ways I'm going to screw it up…"
She closed her eyes, smiling brightly. Her hand found his, giving it a light squeeze. “You can’t screw it up, Kai, don’t worry.” Xio took in a deep breath. “Even if it’s not the best of dates I won’t hate you for it. We can always try again.”
Kai nodded a little, releasing a small breath, "I just… I want everything to be perfect for you. What if you realise I'm not the one for you? What if you realise I actually suck and you don't want to go out with me? I don't know what I'd do then, Xio."
Xio brought his face to hers, cupping his cheeks in her hands. “Hey, calm down. I’d never think you suck or that you’re not the one for me. I think I’ve already decided…” she murmured, smiling softly at him. “Everything will go perfectly fine. I’ll enjoy anything you take me to.” She hesitated then, looking as if she was contemplating something.
She tilted her head back, bringing her lips to his in a gentle, soft kiss. It was over quickly, and yet she felt energized.
Kai, a little taken aback by the kiss, already wanted more and he didn't think his control would slip so easily. Even though Xio pulled away, he went back in, softly at first but soon there was way more passion behind it.
Xio let out a soft sound of surprise but she soon was melting into him and loving every second of his touch. She was hungry for his kisses and for his love, more so than she had thought.
Their kiss was making her dizzy with a giddy delight. The more passionate it grew the more she wanted his touch.
Kai shifted so he was sitting up against his headboard and pulled Xio onto his lap. He rested his hands on her lips, putting more passion and feeling behind his kisses. He knew he’d get carried away so had to have a little of his self not control.
Xio melted into him, placing her hands on his chest. She couldn’t think straight, all rational thought had left her. She instead only wanted him to pull her in and kiss her, for him to hold her close and love her.
Kai disconnected his lips from her mouth and kissed down her jawline then to her neck. He knew he was going to leave hickies but did he care right now? No way. He sucked and bit gently on her skin, making sure to be gentle when needed.
Xio gasped softly, tilting her head to give him more room. Her eyes slipped closed and her hands clutched at his shirt. “K-Kai…!” She moaned, loving the feeling of his lips on her skin.
“Mhm?” He murmured against her neck. He suck a little harder, making sure to leave a mark in his wake.
She gasped, her body feeling weak. Xio pressed closer to Kai as he left his mark. She wanted to be his so badly it almost killed her.
After another moment, Kai pulled back to admire his work, a smirk making its way onto his features, “Beautiful, just like you.”
Xio had to take a moment to recover, her chest rising and falling in deep breaths. Her face was a bright shade of red, and her hands still clutched at his shirt. “I can’t wait any longer… Kai let me be yours.” She gasped out, kissing him quickly.
Kai chuckled darkly, the low sound reverberating through his body as he kissed her back. He pulled back a second later, though, “Hm… depends in what way you want to be mine.”
