Levi gasped dramatically, "I'll have you know I have never bitten anybody in my life."
"Tahlia would say otherwise…" Denzel muttered and Kai spluttered a laugh.
"Kai tends to have frosty problems a lot. Well, less now then he used to but it still happens. But I'm glad you managed to weave your way into his shy persona, not many people can do that you know.. Actually, I think Denzel and I are the only other people who have," Levi nudged her with his elbow, "Lucky duck."
“Tahlia?” She asked out of curiosity. Her thoughts Moved away from that as Levi continued. Xio still hadn’t figured out how she had got Kai to open up to her. She wasn’t that special as far as she was concerned. “I am pretty lucky, huh?” She murmured, looking to Kai and smiling lovingly at him.
“Don’t know how I did it. But I did do it. Maybe some part of my lonely self got through to him.”
Kai smiled back, "I guess my lonely soul matched with yours." He winked at her.
"Tahlia is his girlfriend," Denzel replied to Xio's previous question and shrugged a shoulder before pretending to faint, "Oh Tahlia, you're the most amazing person in my life and I couldn't bare to be without you," He fluttered his eyes dreamily.
Kai snorted and Levi scowled, "I do not look like that."
"Uh, yeah you do." Kai said, snickering.
She blushed at the wink, turning her eyes to the ground. Her heart skipped a beat. She pulled herself together, letting her mouth form an ‘O’ as Denzel explained.
“Well, if Tahlia is your girlfriend then of course she could disagree.” She smirked. “Don’t you give lovebites to your lover as a way to claim them?” A soft, innocent laugh left her lips before she returned to her usual smiling self, still acting innocent. She giggled at the pretend faint and fluttering eyes.
Levi sighed a little, "I mean, yeah. but that's besides the point. I don't bite in a mean way, and I don't bite anyone that's not Tahlia. Period. End of discussion." He pouted.
"Aww, is the big, strong Levi upset we made fun of him?" Kai teased.
"Keep talkin' big boy and you're on your way to being tickled to death."
Kai shut up after that and Denzel laughed, "Damn, you're still ticklish Kai? Did he tell you that Xio?"
Xio tilted her head. She hadn’t known Kai was ticklish. Her eyes widened and she shook her head. “Kai’s ticklish?!” She grinned, looking over at him. “No, he didn’t tell me that. Thank you for that information.” She giggled, flashing him an innocent smile. She was sooo going to tickle him.
Kai groaned, sinking back into the couch, "You're dead meat Denzel." Denzel just grinned at him then at Xio.
"He's probably the most ticklish person you'll ever meet, and I'm being serious. I thought it'd be something he'd grow out of but clearly I was wrong."
“That’s cute.” She replied with a soft laugh. She wouldn’t admit that she too was incredibly ticklish. She hated the feeling of it however. “Kai you’re too cute.”
Kai flushed and Denzel awed, "I agree with you Xio, he is a cutie."
"Um, ew, gross dude, you're my brother." Kai protested, huffing a sigh.
"All the more reason for me to agree with the lovely lady sitting over there," He grinned and winked at Xio, "I will forever agree with her over you."
Xio giggled. She covered her mouth as she did so. This entire family had a sense of charm to them. And it was no surprise that she found Kai’s flush rather adorable. She couldn’t explain how he was seductive One moment and then adorable the next. “Isn’t he? The glasses top it off.” She murmured, studying Kai with a soft look. She winked at him, a light blush to her own pale face. “He’s like the perfect package. It’s so sad that he doesnt have a girlfriend yet. She’d be the most privileged girl in the world.” Xio sighed. She felt sad that it could be someone else he fell for.
(nervous laughter So uh… the internet at school crashed all day yesterday, and I thought it would be on when I got home… ha, I was wrong, it was out all evening too, sorry.)
Hopefully that'll be you soon… Kai flushed even further under the attention of the three people he valued the most. He hated attention, but when it was from them he didn't mind it so much. Well, maybe just a little, "I wouldn't say I'm perfect I don't think anyone's perfect, really. Well, expect for Xio, she's the exception," He shrugged, trying to calm himself just a little.
(Ah, you’re fine. I feel bad for sending another comment but I did want to make sure you didn’t die XD you’re too cool a person to be dead!)
She laughed, playing with one of her curls. A blush turned her face a light pink. She hid her face, a little too giddy. “I’m not perfect either Kai. I’m really quite selfish.” She complained with a small smile.
(Aww, thanks! uwu)
Kai just shrugged and grinned, "Well I think you're perfect." Denzel smirked, looking between the two of them, Levi not really paying attention anymore but looking down at his phone with a small smile. The brunette eventually spoke up, "Anyone want any cookies? I think mum made some," He said standing. He sniffed the air then nodded, "Yup. White chocolate raspberry."
(^^)
Xio giggled, biting her lip to keep from grinning too much. She couldn’t show him how happy that actually made her. “Thanks Kai.” She murmured.
At the mention of cookies, Her head snapped up. “I love cookies.”
Levi grinned and giggled, "Me too. I will be back with the gold shortly!" He practically skipped out the room leaving Denzel and Kai chuckling.
(Sorry I had work)
Xio sat up, sitting on her knees. She watched Levi leave expectantly. Cookies were her favorite of all deserts. Her dad used to bake cookies with her during his separation. “I love cookies.” She repeated, looking over st the giggling brothers. Kai seemed so close with them. It was wonderful to see him so energetic and excited.
(All good. I was babysitting anyway. Also, I won't be active tomorrow)
"Me too," Denzel said, ruffling his hair a little. The beanbag shifted under him, causing Kai to very nearly fall off of it, "What's your favourite type of cookie, Xio? Mine's vanilla with MnM's." Kai grinned, knowing fine well that Denzel's one weakness was MnM's.
(Cool Cool.)
“I love short bread cookies. They’re really good.” She bites her lip at the thought, suddenly hungry. “But i also love every cookie. As long as it didn’t have coconut.
"Same. Coconut is gross," Denzel made a face, "Except desiccated coconut on lamingtons," The Australian sighed contently, "A classic Australian delicacy that, even with something as gross as coconut, is still delicious."
“It really is.” She laughed softly, laying on her stomach on the couch and draping herself over the arm rest. “Lamingtons? I’ve never heard of those.” She admitted, sinking into the cushions with a soft sigh. She glanced at Kai, smiling st him.
Kai smiled softly back, the faintest hint of a blush spreading across his pale, freckled cheeks. He pushed his glasses up his nose just a little. Denzel grinned, "Lamingtons are a native food to my country. It's a vanilla sponge cake with chocolate round the outside and coconut there too."
She giggled softly, biting her lip. He was so cute with his glasses and messy hair. Her head turned to Denzel when he spoke, eyes wide and curious. “They sound so good! Can I try one someday?”
Denzel nodded eagerly, “Of course! You’ll have to come over to Australia someday, the food is way better there.” He winked jokeingly.
It was then that there was a loud screech from the kitchen, followed by cackling laughter.
“Levi you swine! Bring those black right now!” Giselle called.
“Sorry not sorry Ma!” He called back before he shut the door to the rumpus room. He was holding a tray of freshly baked cookies, panting with a smug grin on his face, “Here we are.”
“Nice job, though I don’t like Ma will let you off the hook this time.” Kai chuckled.
Xio smiled brightly. “I would love to go!” Her bright eyes turned to the door as the sounds began, a curious expression on her face.
As Levi returned, her smile brightened. But it was for the cookies. She loved them already. “Are they homemade?!” She cried, sitting up straighter. She hadn’t had homemade cookies since her father had begun working full-time.
