Heeeeeyy,
Anyone up for an RP? My rules are pretty simple to understand:

  1. Keep it PG-13, mild to nonexistent cussing and lewd themes. Blood and gore is fine.
  2. No OP, MarySue, and/or AntiMarySue characters
  3. First/Third person is preferred. (I’ll adapt to which one you’d like to use.)
  4. No one sentence responses pleeeaasssee. It keeps the story moving if there is at least three sentences.
  5. HAVE FUN :D

We can plan the story here then move it to another discussion OR we can start here.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Name: Kyle ‘Kai’ Rurrow
Age: 18? I dunno how old you want them to be
Gender: male
Sexuality: bi-sexual
Appearance: tall and well built, but still a skinny thing. On the paler side and has a slight tan in the summer months, soft and shortish black hair that is always messy and looks like he has constantly run his hand through it from agitation, dull blue, icey eyes. Wears glasses.
Personality: Level headed, loyal to the few he cares about. Will be kind to those who deserve it, mainly kids, the poor and other innocents. He is a hard working student studying forensic science. He is a major introvert and shy, doesn't like meeting new people. He is kind and caring unless he dislikes you. Hates the rich and the snobbish. Can fight and will fight is he needs too but never wants to. Perfectionist, intelligent.
Powers: Can control/create ice and snow- basically Jack Frost.
Background: Kyle was abandoned on the streets as a young child, given off to a homeless Cuban woman when he was about three years old (He ended up learning how to speak both Spanish and English because of her background) His parents already had two older children, teenagers, and they didn’t want another child so they dropped him. They were very rich and snobbish from what Kyle learnt about them in later years.
He took to learning an education from studying in the local library for many years before he eventually got a job. The woman who was looking after him died when he was about 10 and he lived on the streets for another five years before he was put into foster care. He went to school and was surprisingly more intelligent then a lot of kids there. He was a subject of bullying and harassment, he also developed depression, anxiety and took to self harm during these final years at school. Has tried to commit suicide twice.

Xiomara has a great interest in love stories and is a hopeless romantic at times. Due to this, she can be blind to many things.

Likes:

Flower crowns, books, love stories, writing, and boys.

Dislikes:

Chickens (they’re creepy to her), the cold, mushrooms, popular girls, and public bathrooms.

Bio/backstory:

Xiomara was born on a snowy March the 3rd. She was quiet as a child until about ten years of age when she became bubbly and wild. She was always ready for an adventure. Those traits are true up to the present day. By age twelve, she was obsessed with her father’s work, hanging around him always to study his books and writings. Soon, she picked up that trait of writing and became a hardcore fan of literature and creative writing.

By her fifteenth birthday, Xiomara’s parents decided to file for divorce. Three months later, they separated, leaving Xiomara broken and unsure what to do. She turned to writing to help heal her. Eventually, the day came when Xiomara had to chose who she would live with. She chose her father, afraid her mother’s cigarette problem would worsen. Fortunately, it disappeared completely.

Xiomara continued her schooling during these events but she struggled to keep friends and good grades. Eventually, her only friend was Jeremy who enjoyed her sci-fi novels and kind nature. By age seventeen, she had somewhat recovered and became boy crazy (Kind of as a coping mechanism for when her mother left).

Thanks!

So, how should we go about this? Should we have them meet during school? Some strange accident involving his powers? A random ‘hey wait! You’re in my class’ in a cafe?

@ElderGod-Carrots

Ooft, maybe one and two could be combined? Like, at lunch or something there's an accident with his powers and she's like, 'woah hey wait' and talks to him or something like that?

@Toxic_Persephone group

//Alright here it is://

Xiomara groaned as she took her seat in the far corner of the lunch room. Jeremy was sick. She had no one to eat with.

Her eyes moved around the cafeteria, falling on the lunch line. Maybe she would just skip today. It seemed too much of a bother to eat alone.

As she stood she glanced around, hoping to somehow miraculously find her friend here and well. It was no use he was sicker than a dog.

She turned to leave, smiling sweetly as she passed a rather interesting blue-eyes boy. She paused, turning to study him for a moment. Maybe she could make a new friend? He seemed nice enough. And rather cute.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle tried so hard to be invisible, yet even though most days it worked and he kept a lock on his powers, today was not his day apparently.

He'd already frozen the apple he was eating for breakfast that morning and had a run in with his usual bullies, knowing he was going to see them again at lunch. They were one of the reasons why he hated school, and himself.

He swallowed and blinked a few times at the girl who had bumped into him before looking away, "Sorry." He said quietly, through he instinctively waited for the insults to be thrown at him even though she had smiled. Though it might just be an act.

@Toxic_Persephone group

She blinked. He was soft spoken, not what she had thought. He seemed uncomfortable for a split second, or maybe it was just her throwing herself onto him.

“No need to appologize! That was my fault. Are you new? I haven’t really seen you around before.” Xiomara mentally chastised herself. The words had tumbled from her mouth before she could stop them. Curse her extroverted mind. “I’m Xiomara.”

She shifted her weight from foot to foot. Was it just her or was it unusually quiet? She pulled nervously on the edge of her blouse, flashing another bubbly smile.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle offered her the smallest smile back, still slightly uncomfortable, "I'm Ky-" But before he could finish, he felt his hands start to freeze over and he panicked. A small, thin layer of frost was coating his fingertips and on top of that, he new his three bullies were heading this way.

"Looks like the freak is working his magic again." One guy, Jason spoke up, smirking at him and gesturing to his hands.

@Toxic_Persephone group

Xiomara shot a rather dirty look in the direction of Jason. He had interrupted their conversation. Her eyes flickered in the direction of the gesture nonetheless. Her brown eyes widened. Ice.

Though unsure what was going on, Xiomara stepped between the two males. Her smile was friendly, but her demeanor was aggressive.

“I’m sorry but I believe I was trying to have a conversation.” She didn’t want to admit it, but Xiomara was scared. This kid was taller and stronger than her.

She glanced around the cafeteria again, praying someone would notice. No one seemed to care enough.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Why'd you want to talk to the freak anyway?" Jason crossed his arms, "He'll probably zap you first chance he gets."

Kyle looked down at the ground with a small frown, trying to do something about his ice and stop it spreading further up his arm, "Just leave it, Xiomara." He muttered, though he was scared he was only going to make the situation worse.

@Toxic_Persephone group

She fell silent, her eyes dropping to the ground. Zap me… Her thoughts rotated around those two words.

“You think a little zap scares me? I’ve had worse.” Xiomara’s tone wavered. For a second it seemed she was going to cry. It faded quickly after he spoke.

“Nah, leaving it is no fun, Ky.” She turned back to Jason, looking him up and down. Her hands and knees were shaking uncontrollably. “What’s so special about you? I don’t think you can zap anyone even if you wanted to.”

//Aha, I’ve got work in about 30-40 minutes. I’ll be back when I can! (Work is about 4 hours)//

@ElderGod-Carrots

(All good, I'm going to the beach anyway so I won't be back until 4ish my time)

"I can't zap but I can punch, that's for sure," Jason smirked, "But, I won't punch a pretty face like yours, I'll save it for Kyle when you aren't around to defend him," He sent her a wink, "Seeya later beautiful." Him and his little gang left.

Kyle released a breath and swallowed, keeping his eyes trained on the ground, "I should… I should go," He looked down at his hands and stumbled back a step, "I'm sorry."
