She smiled softly and curled against him. “You can sleep if you want. I'll be here when you wake up.” she told him, already planning to take another night patrol.
Sophie chuckled and gave a simple shrug. “It could be.” she admitted, coyly.
He hummed. "We only just got up, though." he countered.
She kept her gaze narrowed for a long moment, studying Sophie.
“Perhaps.” she nodded.
Sophie was just sitting back, grinning. It was hard to tell if she was just joking or not. But honestly she didn't mind one way or another if Raven answered the question. She was having fun just watching her figure it out.
He sighed faintly, still holding her.
She was debating whether or not to asnwer this question.
She smiled softly.
“You don't have to answer, you know. No one has used any of their skips yet.” Sophie pointed out.
He shifted a little bit, eyes shut.
"Mm, skip then." she said, laughing a little.
She kept still, letting him move as he wanted.
“Alright.” Sophie nodded, accepting the answer. “Fair enough.”
He eventually settled down again.
She stretched, looking over at Sophie. "My turn to ask again, then?"
She smiled softly and kissed his cheek.
“Sure. Go ahead.” Sophie nodded.
He smiled a little, not opening his eyes.
"Alright. Uhm…least favorite vegetable?" she laughed as she asked the question.
She giggled softly at his smile and leaned against him.
“Depends on how it's cooked but I'm not a big fan of eggplant.” Sophie admitted with a shrug.
He kept gently holding her.
"I've never had eggplant, but that makes sense." she replied, laughing again.
She smiled softly and let her eyes close.
“Yeah. I mean, it's fine in like eggplant parmesan and ratatouille but other than that… Nah, I’ll pass.” Sophie chuckled.
He was still quiet.
She laughed. "Ah. I've never had ratatouille, either."
She let out a soft breath, resting peacefully against him.
“I think I only had it once.” Sophie shrugged. “Not something I’d eat regularly but it was pretty good.”
He was, to be honest, beginning to drift off.
She nodded. "Makes sense, makes sense."
She, however, was not. At least not yet… but she was fairly certain that if things kept up like this, she would fall back asleep.
“Alright. What's yours?” Sophie asked, chuckling.
He shifted, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Broccoli." she made an exaggerated grimace, laughing again.
She smiled softly and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek.
Sophie couldn't help but burst out laughing at her silly expression. “Ok. Fair enough, I guess.”
He didn't move, but did let out the quietest little hum.
She grinned over at Sophie.
She didn’t move beyond resting her head against him with a soft smile.
Sophie grinned back. “My turn. What's your favorite fruit?”
He kept just holding her, falling into a light doze.
She thought for a moment. "Peaches."
She let her eyes close and tried to breathe softly.
“Nice.” Sophie smiled with a little nod. “I really like pears. They are so underrated.”
He kept holding her, even in sleep.
"Pears are good too." she said, smiling.
Being as close as they were, it was easy for her to tell when he fell asleep. But she didn't move. She just continued to lay there with him and let her mind work.
"Thanks. I feel like not a lot of people like or appreciate pears." Sophie admitted with a shrug.
