“Do you need any help?” He asked, sitting on the counter. “I’m not sure how helpful I’ll actually be but I can try.”
“Do you need any help?” He asked, sitting on the counter. “I’m not sure how helpful I’ll actually be but I can try.”
"Can you get out some patty pans and a cupcake tray please." Kyle asked, not taking his eyes away from the bowl.
“Mmm yeah.” It took him a second, but he found both of the things he needed. He set them down on the counter. “Are these what you wanted?” He asked.
He glanced over at them and nodded, "They're prefect, thanks." Once the mixture was made he started placing the patty pans on the try.
Caleb stood behind Kyle, wrapping his arms around his waist, resting his head on Kyle’s shoulder. “I love youuuu.”
Kyle smiled, turning his head to kiss Caleb’s cheek before he went back to putting the mix in the pans, “I love you too.”
He smiled softly, not letting go of Kyle. “Even if you do call me an old man, I love you.” He enjoyed these moments, where it could just be him and Kyle, and neither of them had to be something they weren’t.
Kyle rolled his eyes, though his smile grew a fraction at the comment, "Hey, it's not my fault your ego can't help but be reminded at how frail you're becoming."
“I’m literally only twenty-four, you’re just a little shit. I am the furthest thing from frail darling, you should know this.” He replied, kissing his jaw.
"I am not!" He protested, ready to wack Caleb with the wooden spoon he was holding, "I am but a mere twenty and therefor, to me, you are old."
“I’m only four years older than you that’s not that bad!” He protested. He was well aware that Kyle was probably gonna whack him with the spoon.
“That’s old to me!” He replied. He moved out of Caleb’s grip, taking the gray Over to the oven and placing the cake inside.
He whined as soon as Kyle was out of his arms. “Babyyyyyy!!” He weakly made grabby hands at him.
“Clean up and then you can have a hug.” Kyle replied, gesturing to the bowl and the spoon. He made the food, therefor Caleb can clean up.
“…that’s fair I guess.” He said with a small sigh, but began to clean up, washing the dishes and putting them all away. “Hug now please?” He asked hopefully.
Kyle giggled softly but relented. He walked back over Caleb, wrapping his arms around the others neck, “Yes, hug now.”
He smiled, resting his chin on Kyle’s shoulder and hugging him like there was no tomorrow, lazily letting his body sway from side to side.
He closed his eyes, breathing in the others presence. He liked this, he liked this a lot. He wished this was how it could be for the rest of their lives.
“I love you…more than anything or anyone in the whole world.” He whispered, his arms squeezing Kyle a little tighter.
Kyle blushed, glad that Caleb couldn't see his face. At this point he knew his face might always be red, "I love you too. More then all the stars in the sky."
“You must love me a lot then.” He said with a goofy smile. “How am I this lucky? That I get to be the one you love.”
Kyle shrugged a shoulder, poking Caleb's cheek, "I dunno. You might have to ask God or Zeus or someone but I have no clue."
“I’m so glad we got together. That was the best decision of my life. You’re my soulmate babe.”
Kyle snorted, "That was just a little cheesy now, wasn't it Caleb?" He teased.
“Shut up or I’m revoking your soulmate status.” He fired back, a smile on his face. But he did feel like it was true, he felt like Kyle was his soulmate.
