Litherelm looked at the newcomer with interest. "Why, hello there, miss." She tips her head in a sign of peace to the newcomer as she slips her knife back into the distinct double sheath. She rises to her feet, giving a hand signal to Stormfast that the new person was no threat. She studied the new person with interest as Stormfast rises from his stalking position to walk up and smell this new person, his tail wagging slowly. "I'm Litherelm Wolfwalker, and this is Resh Corvus." She looks to the man to see if he's ok with her introducing him.

Emayra nodded slightly. “I’m Emayra. The girl I’m looking for is Kalli. Please, if you’ve seen her, tell me.” She took a shaky breath. “Zarran’s gonna kill me,” she mumbled.

Resh continued staring at Emayra, giving no reaction when Litherelm introduces him. He shook his head when Emayra asked if they’ve seen Kalli. He pulled his hood over his head, glancing at both Emayra and Litherelm. He seemed visibly tense.

Emayra’s heart dropped at Resh’s answer. “You don’t think…” dread knotted in her stomach. “What if she went to the forest?” she whispered. “Oh gods…”
She glanced up at the two, ignoring the rain and tears in her eyes. “Thanks anyway. Uh… gods, I don’t know what to do now.” She turned away.

Litherelm looked at the man, seeing that he didn't seem to like company. "Me and Stormfast can give you a hand, if needed," she said in a gentle voice, seeing as Emayra seemed nervous.

“You will?” Emayra could have collapsed with relief. “Thank gods, you’re wonderful- do you think she did go to the forest? The rumors always fascinated her, she likes scary stories and I told her not to go but she’s a rebellious girl and-“ she paused, realizing she was rambling. “Just- thank you.”
She nodded towards the man. “It was nice to meet you, Resh.”

Eris stolled along the edge of the forest, wings bunched to her back. Her head was bowed low. Her eyes were concentrated on the grass below her. She had gone through 3 of the villages, the three villages next to Glassflame, their home village. They felt their stomach hurt with worry as they neared His old village. He's gone now, but they still worry.

Litherelm looked at her with a gentle smile. "Do you have anything with her scent on it or, any ideas on where she may be?" she says as she calls over Stormfast. "He may be getting up there in age, but he can still track things with the best of them," she says as she scratches Stormfast behind the ear.

Resh stared at Emayra, saying nothing. He nodded slightly in return, then turned back and continued to stare at the sky. He took out his knife and started spinning it in his hands. Please go away-

Emayra nodded to Litherelm as she turned back in the direction of Lyaphire. "I am a live-in caretaker for her and her siblings. I can get you something from her room if that will work." She thought about Litherelm's second question as they started walking back to her village. The rain was starting to slow ever so slightly, and soon she could see dim lantern light again. "I don't know where she could have gone. I went to all of her favorite places in the village, I even went to a few of my own friends; sometimes I think Kalli loves my friend more than she loves me." She sighed. "No one's seen her for hours."

The next village wasn’t too far ahead now. Tseth would find a commission there, and then be on his way. That is, if the commission doesn’t require him to go into the forest. Flying over the forest was easy enough, if it was further out. If the commission was in the forest, it was more of a problem. The ghosts in the forest prevented anyone sane from going on foot. Not that he was ‘sane’ by any definition of the word. Though, if the only commission available was in the forest… he might have to take it. Work is often scarce in these villages now.

"That will work just fine for tracking her. Do we know how far she might have traveled, or if she has any survival experience?" she says as she starts to try and think if they could possibly get to the kid before dark. Stormfast keeps an eye on the two girls, seeing as they were somewhat distracted. He made sure nothing would harm them as they walked to the other village.

Emayra shook her head. "She's never done this before, she couldn't have made it very far, but she's only 7." She bit her cheek to keep herself together.
most of the town was inside as they walked the streets.
Mayra stopped in front of a two-story house. "I don't know if Zarran is home- that's Kalli's father," she said to Litherelm. "Wait here, I'll run inside and find something."
She headed inside and upstairs to Kalli's room. Thankfully, her employer was out still.
Emayra grabbed Kalli's favorite blanket, a tiny thing from when she was little, before heading back outside to where Litherelm and her wolf waited.

@Hehehe-you-summon-the-moon

Litherelm takes the blanket and drops to one knee in front of Stormfast holding the blanket out for him to sniff. "Let's find her, boy," she says to the wolf in an encouraging voice, knowing it will be hard for him to track her scent in the rain , but not impossible, she thought philosophically. "I assume you're coming with us," she says in a false cheery manner, knowing that this was going to be a difficult trip.
