I’ve got another roleplay for you!

Rules:

• andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s rules.
• Keep this pg-13 as always.
• 2 characters per person.
• Responses are 3 sentences at a minimum. There’s no maximum other than don’t write a novel.
• I don’t care about swearing, but don’t use slurs. We aren’t going to have any racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc in this story.
• Yes, characters will get into arguments. Be nice out of character.
• NO POWER-PLAYING! Characters CANNOT one-shot people, or infinitely dodge, or be invincible. Don’t kill each other’s characters, either.
• I’d like to see a writing sample if I haven’t roleplayed with you before-

Basically, the time period is more medieval -ish, and the setting is a high fantasy kind of thing. Almost everyone is a magic user. I don’t feel like creating a magic system, so it’s up to player interpretation.

Your characters live in a cluster of villages. How close or far away from each other the characters are, is completely up to you.

People from various villages have been going missing, and the forests surrounding have started to fill with “ghosts” that kill anyone who tries to enter. Your characters will meet each other, and agree on one common goal: to find out what’s happening in the forests and put a stop to it.

My character, Resh, is rumored to have been behind the disappearances, although he’s completely innocent. More information about this will be in his character sheet.

Basic personality:
Emayra tends to be pretty soft-spoken and quiet. She has a quiet sense of humor, not making many jokes but she appreciates them. She is typically somewhat slow to anger, but she carries a grudge like you would not believe. She has some trust and self confidence issues due to a massive incident in her past, but she is trying to move on and be better. She can be very jumpy.

Sexuality: straight

Likes: her favorite color is pastel yellow and her favorite food is apples

Dislikes: untrustworthy people, spicy food, storms

Fears:loud noises/storms, violence/injury (to herself or others), snakes

Motivations: she is a nanny for a well-off family in her village. When her youngest goes missing, she is determined to get her back.

Talents: she is an excellent storyteller and has some elemental magic that she uses when storytelling; her kids love it. She is also creative and a good musician 


Background:
years ago, Emayra was framed for a murder in her village. She went into hiding for weeks, and though her friends eventually helped to clear her name, she still has some issues stemming from that and some trust issues.

Black scales concentrated on arms and legs and around where dragon features (wings/tail/horns) connect to body. His right arm was lost in a fight and replaced by a black metal prosthetic. Extreme scarring where prosthetic connects to body and slightly below along his side. Has a gothic/tribal tattoo on his chest.

Basic personality: Intimidating, generally due to his profession and general build/look. He’s not terrible once you get to know him well. He’s a flirt at times, can’t really tell whether he does this genuinely or just for the banter. Sarcasm is quite frequent from him. He can be blunt at times, when people aren’t getting the hint or generally being idiots. He’s antisocial with large crowds and suspicious of newer people partly due to traumatic experiences, but he was never a fan of large crowds. He’s kinda good with kids but like- he’s not. Good with animals though.
Sexuality: Pansexual
Likes: Spending time with friends, music, quieter places, spicy food, animals (especially cats), (Friendly) fighting/sparring practice sessions, reasonable people.
Dislikes: Places with no exit/no visible escape, being physically restrained, water, extremely violent/manipulative people, unfamiliar areas, loud noises (especially cracking noises - think whips/fireworks/thunderstorm sounds), being degraded/insulted.
Fears: Drowning, being locked up, losing his family or close friends.
Motivations: Family, friends, familial obligations, his line of work.

Background: Slightly complicated due to the nature of his heritage. He was abandoned at a young age and taken in by a kind human couple in a small village. Some villagers didn’t trust him because he was a Dragonborn, which led to complications growing up. He took an interest in combat and weapons in his early teen years, training with them and eventually becoming a mercenary at 16. He left his home village to continue his career. At 18 he was captured and tortured, giving him permanent trauma. Rarely speaks of it. Later, he lost his right arm fighting against a large and powerful creature, and had it replaced with a prosthetic. Now, people are disappearing from villages and apparitions in the forest are making it difficult to travel on foot. He wants to know what’s causing this, and hopefully how to stop it.
Physical conditions: Phantom pains from old scars and lost limb.
Mental conditions: C-PTSD
Other: He has certain triggers, main ones being people behind him, being restrained, and being in water or close proximity to it. There’s others, but I’m not keen on saying all of them. Russian roulette on what triggers him, good luck.

Basic personality: //TW: suicidal thoughts, attempted suicide// Resh is a very quiet, secluded person. He usually doesn’t speak, instead he communicates in little noises and gestures. He usually avoids talking to people, and lives on the outskirts of his village. He’s a surprisingly outdoorsy person, and he can be found wandering in the rain occasionally. He deals with severe depression, and has attempted suicide once, along with having many suicidal/intrusive thoughts. He has a very deadbeat and intimidating demeanor, often intentionally looking unapproachable as to avoid socialization. He gets startled when someone speaks to him, and usually stares them down until they go away. He has a staring problem regardless of whether he’s trying to intimidate someone or not. He often doesn’t react to pain, and won’t tell anyone if he has an injury that needs to be treated. He has a soft spot for young children, and surprisingly strong father instincts.

Background: //TW: attempted suicide// He was very excitable and chaotic during most of his childhood and some of his young adulthood. He liked racing and physical activity in general, and it was usually what he used to cope with emotions and stress. During a race, there was an incident in which a child had died. A lot of people blamed him for this, and were generally angry with him, so he ran away and isolated himself from society. Rumors started circulating about him, even going as far as to accuse Resh of being the person behind the disappearances. After a few years in isolation, he tried to kill himself by jumping off a cliff. No one knows how he survived the fall, and he prefers not to talk about it. He ventures out every so often, but he rarely speaks to anyone.
