Marco was hunched over Skye's back, one arm under Lucas' belley, and the other around Skye's neck, sandwiching Lucas between them as they traveled.

It took them several hours to get to another cave where they could stop.
Skye hesitantly padded inside, aware of the fact that he couldn't feel his paws anymore from the cold snow.
Lucas formed a fire as best he could in dog form and lay down, shivering.
Skye quickly curled around him, half to warm him up, and half because he was cold too.
Hopefully this will all be over soon… Lucas cuddled into Skye, stretching his paws out towards the fire.
Skye curled around him, scooting closer.
Lucas fell asleep, and nothing eventful happened in the night.
Skye tried his best to sleep, though he failed for most of the night, letting Marco sleep as he took another watch.
(Should they actually get to the place today?)
In the morning, Lucas helped to pack up and the three of them set off the same way they had yesterday.
(Possibly)
Ske kept up a fast pace, ignoring his aching paws as they went.
Lucas's wounds still ached at this point, but he knew he was on the mend. At least they seemed to be fairly close to the city.
Skye slowed around noon, padding quickly through the trees ears alert.
"D-Do you think we're close?" Lucas asked Skye, shivering.
Skye sighed, "I hope so…" he said, unable to feel his paws again.
Lucas looked behind them over Marco's shoulder, making sure they weren't being followed. "We've gone pretty far. I think we might actually be pretty close."
Marco nodded, able to understand him as Skye relayed the translation. "Probably, cause we could all use some warmth.
Lucas nodded as well. "It'd be easier if I had more body fat… Oh well. All we can hope is that we arrive sooner rather than later. He lay his head down on Marco's shoulder.
Marco nodded, "You're not the only one on the thin side, remember?" He said, keeping him close as Skye padded through the trees.
"Mhmm…" Lucas kept watching behind them intently. He occasionally saw local wildlife, but nothing he was worried about.
Skye eventually stopped as they came to the edge of the forest. Overlooking the buildings of the city ahead Marco dismounted to let Skye shift back.
Lucas hopped onto the ground. He figured it would be best to stay in dog form for now since he was still injured and stood beside Skye as the other transformed.
Skye carefully scooped him back up once he'd shifted back, burying his frozen hands in the other's fur as Marco took the lead
Lucas licked Skye's hands in an attempt to warm them up, occasionally glancing around warily. They were almost to the gates of the city now.
Skye followed Marco into the city gates and down the nearest alleyway, looking for a spot to warm up
