"I'm sure he's okay, Skye… you haven't got any wounds on your body, after all." Marco stepped out of the cave.
Lucas tugged against his harness and muzzle, but he couldn't get them off. The ropes were tied tight.

Skye sighed, "That doesn't mean he isn't hurt…" he said softly, before heading out towards the trees, following the scent.
(Sorry… deep cleaning my room…)
I wonder what they're going to make me do? Lucas side and neck still hurt badly from the way he'd been treated by the hunter, but he hadn't sustained any serious injuries (yet oof). He heard the hunters stirring.
Skye continued tracking it, until the scent divided. Hus ears went back as he tried to figure out which direction to take, a low whimper rising.
Lucas cowered as one of the hunters approached him. He glanced up at him anxiously, wondering what he'd do to him.
Skye sat down, trying to figure out how he'd find Lucas, the hunter had cast a spell to lay fake scent trails, and he was beginning to lose hope.
The hunter grabbed him roughly and stood him up. He got into the sleigh and cracked a whip right by Lucas's ear, sending him running forward. It was hard work, but it was pretty much manageable until the slope started going downhill.
As the slope became more intense, Lucas stumbled and collapsed, the sleigh tumbling over and dragging Lucas painfully along with it. He yelped loudly, and the splintering of the sleigh echoed through the trees.
Skye sighed as he tried to figure out what to do, unfortunately too far away to haer the crashing of trees in the distance.
Lucas tried to free himself from the wreckage and the ropes, but the muzzle prevented him from doing much. Pieces of the sleigh dug deep into his skin, and he was in excruciating pain. Maybe he can hear my thoughts? Skye! Help! Through the trees on the hill! He kept his directions brief, feeling dangerously close to passing out.
Skye perked up at that, having just started to search using his telepathy. Lucas?? Where are you what happened?? his tone was relieved and worried.
I went outside just for a minute and one of the hunters caught me. I'm stuck in dog form since I couldn't reveal myself. They made me pull this sleigh thing and I'm hurt. Lucas tried desperately to free himself, panicked and barking to try and get Skye to hear him. He tugged one of his legs free, which left a large gash in it and stained the snow with blood.
Skye's ears flattened at that, and he took off running, leaving Marco behind him in the newly fallen snow. I'm on my way!!
Lucas lay his head down on the snow, his energy fading fast. He whined softly and tried to take his mind off the pain while he waited for Skye to arrive.
Skye ran as fast as he could through the snow, hoping he'd reach the other in time.
A few moments later h burst into the clearing, spotting the others lighter colored fur amongst the wreckage of the Hunter's packs.
Lucas barked weakly to more clearly show his position to Skye, still unable to free himself. A good deal of his blood had already stained the snow around him red. The muzzle was still tied too tight to his face as well.
Skye quickly padded over to him, a whine echoing from him as he shifted to cut the ropes, pulling him free from the wreck before working on the collar and muzzle.
Lucas whimpered shakily, laying his head on Skye's lap. His breathing was quick and panicked, and he was in quite a bit of pain. It was unclear what had happened to the hunter in the sleigh.
Skye gently cut the ropes, "You need to calm down…. I've got you…" he told him, working as fast as he could to cut the muzzle, and containing his own anger.
Lucas tried to calm himself down. Everything's fine… it's fine… Skye's here now. He can help. He managed to stop panicking for the most part, but he was still shaking from the cold and fear. He whined quietly, licking Skye's hands once the muzzle was cut off.
Skye hugged him gently as soon as the muzzle was off, I don't advise shifting back, not until the injuries heal properly… otherwise you could make then worse… he told him.
Lucas nodded in agreement. Guess I'll be a dog for a while… He huddled against Skye, his tail wagging weakly.
I see no downside… said Skye, petting him.
You'll likely have to carry me, though. I'm not sure if I can walk. Lucas moved his hind leg and winced.
