Lmao. Also, your character probably wouldn't have been a saint that long (maybe two years?) they aren't like. an immortal being that just decided to be a Greatcoat one fine day. They were probably a Greatcoat first, before becoming a Saint
Well, the Saint of Whores would probably have some sort of background with sex work, likely a prostitute though not necessarily. Their abilities would likely be some sort of like. euphoria thing maybe? Also protecting those that do sex work, keeping them safe from being taken advantage of. Idk, stuff like that. A lot of it is really up to you
Oooh, I like that, I just read Six of Crows so could my abilities be something with manipulating the body? Giving adrenaline, making someone's heart slow, clot some blood, stuff like that?
My character was probably a sex worker, yeah, then they turned Greatcoat because they needed to protect themsel fand didn't want to feel helpless anymore, now they're a bit more ruthless and if someone tries to touch them, they restrict your breathing.
Hmmmm. Well, probably so long as the manipulation is somehow sex/attraction related? Idk
Yeah that works!

Name: Andros Castellan
Nicknames: Dros
Titles: First Princep of the Greatcoats
Gender and Pronouns: Cis male, he/him
Sexuality: Bisexual/romantic
Open to Shipping?: Sure
Age: 28
Looks: Andros is on the taller side of average, at about 5'11", nearly six foot. He is white, with a rather deep tan. His skin is flecked with various scars from sparring, and his hands have marks from his knives. His back has old whip scars on it that are at least 12 years old. He has dark brown hair, that hangs a little past his chin in length, and curls at the ends. His hair parts on the right. He is clean-shaven, usually, sometimes with a bit of stubble. His eyes are mismatched; one is a dark green, the other a pale brown that is so light it is nearly gold. He has a very slight cleft in his chin. He wears a silver wedding ring on his left hand, though his wife died when he was 20 years old. He wears it to remember her, and often spins it when he's anxious or just fidgeting. He wears a white linen shirt (y'know, the typical 17 century men's shirt) beneath his greatcoat, along with dark pants. The coat itself he hardly ever takes off, except to bathe. Has another ring on a chain around his neck, which he doesn't take off. This ring is an older signet ring, though he doesn't show it off.
Personality: Andros is good at figuring out patterns, and is usually logical. He can have a wicked temper, though, especially if his wife is brought up, especially if she is brought up in a negative manner. He can be a little stupid sometimes, but he figures things out eventually. He is rigid in his beliefs, and stands quite firm for them. He can, however, be swayed, but it takes a lot of willpower to get him to listen. This does not mean he is incapable of changing his mind; by beliefs, I mean his personal core beliefs and standards, not necessarily everything he does. Hates the dukes with a burning passion. Also very much dislikes knights, and will quite possibly commit murder if someone tried to compare the Greatcoats to knights.
Backstory: Andros was born to a prostitute in the slums of one of the outer duchies. He regularly saw nobleman and knights abusing his mother and other prostitutes while growing up, and this is where a lot of his hatred for said people comes from. When he was about eleven, a plague swept through the slums and his mother died. He caught it, but recovered. After that, however, he was homeless on the streets, and joined up with a loose gang of boys, thieving and picking pockets to survive. When he had the time, though, he loved to go to one of the nearby taverns and listen to the bard sing of the Greatcoats and some of their great deeds. This same bard also trained him in swordplay, with sticks in the courtyard. At fifteen, he was caught stealing by one of the knights, who was serving as one of the law enforcers. Andros was subjected to twenty lashes with a whip, a harsh punishment for stealing a loaf of bread. He was also imprisoned for six months, in order to make an example of him. After that, his hate for knights crystalized and hardened; it's nearly impossible for him to get along with them, and when he does, that cooperation hangs by a thread. At 18, he met and married a woman named Helena, a lovely young woman who he had met when she came to the city with her father. She was a farmer's daughter. They married and moved out of the city to a little farmhouse, where they lived happily for about two years. When he was 20, however, the Duke of that duchy came along and, as was his right, demanded that the Castellans provide shelter and food for the Duke and his men for the night. Andros and Helena complied. Throughout the evening, the Duke made suggestive and inappropriate comments towards Helena, which Andros bore as best he could, knowing it would be to no one's benefit if he lost his temper at the Duke. That night, the Duke "suggested" (ordered) that Helena would spend the night with him. Andros nearly came to blows with the Duke before Helena said she would comply, whispering to Andros that this would be the only way to get the Duke to leave them alone. So Andros stood by and had to let it happen. In the morning, the Duke said that he would be bringing Helena along with him to the next town, at which point he would leave her and Andros could come and collect her, "if he still wanted her, of course". Again, Andros nearly attacked the Duke before Helena managed to calm him, and quietly complied with the Duke's demand. When Andros travelled to the town that afternoon to find her, he asked the local innkeeper. In response, the innkeeper showed him to a back room. Helena was dead. The innkeeper explained that the Duke had handed her over to his knights for "a bit of fun" and she had fought back against them. They had killed her. After that, Andros went rather mad with grief, and somehow turned up at the palace with the offending Duke's head in a sack, he himself nearly dead from his wounds. The King asked for his story, and pardoned him for the murder of the Duke. It took months for Andros to heal. When he did heal, the King offered him a position in the Greatcoats, which hadn't really even been formed yet. Andros was the first Greatcoat, and that is why he has the title of First Princep. He learned how to fight better, building on the skills he had originally developed with the bard as a child. He and the King grew to be friends and confidants, and Andros lead the Greatcoats. It broke his heart to have to betray his king and let the king die, but he did as he had to.
Weapon: Double Rapiers
What did the king ask him to do?: Protect the prince and see him throned.
Other: ~
can do!!
probably just some brain chemical thingies and heart beat, nothing too drastic.
Alright!
Also: all of Andros's teasing is just teasing. Like. Your character's predecessor was his mother's patron saint, so like. Major respect from him lmao
Okay, wow, I really love Andros, but I want to give him all the hugs in the world, now, to create a female character, oof it's been a while…
Unf I know, he murderous baby lmao. Alright! No rush
It's not that, more of the fact that I haven't written a female character and months, and I don't know if I can make a decent one…
It's up to you. If you feel you can't make a decent female character, make a dude or Non-binary character. You don't have to make a female character if you don't want to
No, well, I want to, it's fine, it'll take a little bit of time though/
Alright! No worries
Name: Alejandro Betancourt
Nicknames: Jandro, Two-Faced (to his enemies).
Titles: None of note
Gender and Pronouns: If you asked him, he’d say he didn’t really care for gender and hardly saw himself as a man, but he goes by he for simplicity. Doesn’t really care what pronouns you use for him. Often refers to himself as the handsome lady as a personal joke, and likes using feminine terminology more often than masculine.
Sexuality: Pansexual/romantic
Open to Shipping?: Sure!
Age: 30
Looks: Jandro has long, prematurely grey black hair and long dark lashes that flutter over his eyes like wings. His hands are rough and weathered, but strong, and calloused from his bow an arrow (I’m assuming he’s the archer?). Alejandro is tall, strong, with an agile form and long legs good for sprinting across rooftops. He stands at 5’11”, and wears a deep red coat that compliments his dark brown skin and black eyes. He has many scars running along his body, and walks with a slight limp from an injury improperly healed.
Personality: Alejandro is a serious, brooding person who is desperately in need of some appreciation and love. He grew up in a rough background so he does whatever it takes to survive as long as it doesn’t break the moral code he acquire during his time with the Greatcoats. He has a quiet wisdom and unwavering loyalty to whoever has earned it, and is very selective with who he learns to trust.
Backstory: He grew up on the streets, but was taken in by a wealthy Duchess who wanted children more than anything but was unable to have them. He learned archery and many other things there, although he never bothered to learn how to read as he could never make out the shapes of the letters. He eventually made contact with the king and joined the Greatcoats for his incredible skills in archery and deduction.
Weapon: Bow and arrow
What did the king ask them to do?: Stand by while he died, and help prepare the prince for the throne.
Other: He’s dyslexic and autistic, as well as struggling with PTSD from his time on the streets.
Name: Asmilian Lacina
Nicknames: Asmi, Mil, Lian, basically just taking any part of their name.
Titles: Saint of Whores and Bodies
Gender and Pronouns: Male but gnc? Switches between he/him pronouns and they/them pronouns when the mood suit them.
Sexuality: Pansexual
Open to Shipping?: Absolutely
Age: 29
Looks: Asmi has shoulder-length white hair, it's thick and a bit wavy, it tends to cover his face unless he brushes it out of the way. He has vaguely feminine bone structure, but looks androgynous more often than not. Their eyes are a red-toned brown, think cherry wood mixed with cherry blossoms and with very thick lashes. They have a few moles dotting their bleached skin, but as you have probably guessed, they're albino.
Personality: Asmi is… Very flirty and often seen as having little to no respect for himself. He fits very well into the stereotype of harlots and not very much into the stereotype of a Saint. It's mostly a defense mechanism from being a prostitute, but…
Backstory: Asmi was sold by their parents to a slave market due to there being seven kids in their family and definitely not enough money to buy food, so, they were sold. Their family got a lot of money for their albinism. After about fifteen years, He managed to get out of the pleasure house and into the Greatcoats, proving his worth with his ahem, seduction techniques that got him a lot of information. One day, he found the Saint, his predecessor, and might've had sex with him then killed him, might've.
Weapon: It tends to change, Asmi never wants you to know what they'll kill you with. They really like poisons, because if they get the heart racing enough, they can stop it easy enough.
What did the king ask them to do?: Protect the prince and teach him politics and how to talk to people. They also work as sex ed but that's not what they were asked for.
Other: They flirt with everything.
Bastard little man, I love them
:O I love them both. Andros is gonna have so much fun with these little shits, this is gonna be great
Actually wait. Lamer gamer, why does Alejandro have the same last name as the prince? I'm confused
Name: Caoimhe Seymour (It's Irish, sorry…but they go by Cain since they've been told so many times that their name is hard to say)
Nicknames: Since it's technically not their first name, well then Cain
Titles:
Gender and Pronouns: Meh, I changed my mind so They/them
Sexuality: They're not exactly the most open with that question, or to be honest any question at all, but if asked they'll just say something along the lines, "Why do you need to know, exactly, so do mind your own." Then they'll storm off, but they're a closeted bisexual.
Open to Shipping?: Yes, they might make things tough for the other character though.
Age: "I am 27, but is age really of much importance?"
Looks: They're about 5'7, which they find odd since most of her family was rather short, but they'rere not complaining. (I'm lazy and'll do this later, all you really need to know is that they has a prosthetic leg starting from below their knee and looks a bit like Meridah with a boy's cut, done!)
Personality: They're a tough cookie, to say the least. Caoimhe really doesn't like to interact with others preferring to just spend their time alone training or with the other GreatCoats. Although they seem to just be an overall cold and not caring person, they really do care and love their "GreatCoat family" well, the "GreatCoat Family +Dorian". They just, stress though, a lot about keeping themself and the team safe, and every day they just panic about the challenges of the day and what could happen. But as I said, all in all, they seem to be rather harsh and cold most of the time, they really do care for the others and in a way tries to protect them as though they were their actual family. (Which they do consider them their family, even if they act like they want to kill one of them every once in a while.)
Backstory/Weapon: Broadsword or Longsword, it just depends on whatever is at hand for her. She was trained with both though, by her older brothers and father before they went off to protect her village in a battle. But, many of the men of the village were massacred by the dukes and knights for a supposed rebellion, and she's had a deep hatred for them ever since. Well, except for that one moment, when they fell head over heels in love with a noble man's son, but well needless to say that relationship didn't last too long. They married in secret, but he was soon taken away from them, and forced to be with a woman his father picked. So technically, they are a noble person themself, but they won't admit that, and to be honest, they are still sort of in love with the man, but they know that neither of them will be able to get back together or really love each other the way they once did. But back to the weapons. They're somewhat lethal with the two weapons, although they prefer to abstain from fighting as much as possible until necessary. since they know that those actions are irreversible, and they'd rather not kill without a cause. They know the feeling of losing a loved one and such a horrid way, and well they'd never want to cause grief on another for no good reason. Except for after a couple of kills, then they sort of just go nuts on the battlefield, forgetting their passive ways and sort of just having a bit of a party to say the least. And well, they do get a bit violent when they are drunk, and when I say a bit violent, I really mean to the point of nearly killing the bartender the last time that happened.
What did the king ask them to do?: (Opt.) Protect the Prince, like the others, but to keep the group together and alive.
Other: They can seem to be rather cold at times, and even somewhat spiteful, but you ought to know that way down deep inside, they hate you a lot more than you think. I'm just joking. Actually, they're just really terrible at showing their emotions to others, so even if they do care for you, it will be very hard for them to ever admit that.
(Welp, maybe I'll just do a non-binary character? I give up, I can't write a female character for the life of me at the moment…))
She seems pretty neat! The one thing that doesn't make sense is the fact that she thinks she's be kicked out? Bc there are female Greatcoats who don't hide their gender
(Oof, I misunderstood then, I thought that women weren't allowed to be greatcoats at all…I'll fix that tommorow, okay?))
They're allowed, they're just less common due to societal norms. Sorry, I should have made that clearer! But I don't mind if you want your character to still be hiding because she thinks she needs to
Actually wait. Lamer gamer, why does Alejandro have the same last name as the prince? I'm confused
Wait, what? I will change that, I didn’t notice! I just looked up interesting surnames and that’s what I got, sorry! I’m a bit of a dumbass if you didn’t notice before.
His surname is Betancourt now, I think that’s okay?
:O I love them both. Andros is gonna have so much fun with these little shits, this is gonna be great
Asmi is going to annoy Andros so much I can see it now
