Aurelius moved just a little closer to Silver, so their shoulders would occasionally brush with how they walked.
"We going anywhere in particular or just walking?" he asked.
Aurelius moved just a little closer to Silver, so their shoulders would occasionally brush with how they walked.
"We going anywhere in particular or just walking?" he asked.
"I'm not familiar with the area, so I figured we'd stop once we found somplace nice…"
"Sounds good," Aurelius said, "After all, we've been walking almost all day."
Silver smiled as they came into a small, sunny clearing, "This good enough?"
"Yes," Aurelius replied, glancing around, "It's very pretty here."
Silver smiled, letting go to flo on the ground, "Good, cause my feet need a break."
Aurelius laid down next to Silver, squinting his eyes as he looked up into the remnants of sunlight. He brought his hands behind his head and was peacefully quiet.
Silver hummed softly, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Aurelius stole a glimpse of Silver by turning his head slightly to the side.
Silver didn't notice, his eyes closed.
Aurelius wondered if Silver had fallen asleep. No, not that fast, surely.
He quietly hummed a folk tune that had a lullaby-esque feel to it, kind of lost in the happiness of the moment. He forgot about impending war and doom, even if just shortly.
Silver had his eyes closed so he could listen to the sounds around him, listening to the sounds of the forest, and then Aurelius.
(Have to go for a bit soon, Fireworks cause Canada Day!)
(Oh cool! Have fun!)
The soft droning of Aurelius' voice broke off as he spaced out and lost some of his focus. He rolled over on his side and glanced at Silver up and down.
Silver hummed softly to himself, "Your voice is pretty.." he said softly, finally opening his eyes, revealing their ice blue color.
Aurelius's eyes widened, and he felt a little warmth flood his cheeks.
"Really?"
Not that he'd ever sang or even hummed in front of anyone besides his mother before.
He laughed. "I'd daresay you're kind of biased, though."
Silver nodded, twisting to face him, "Trust me, I'm not biased, after all you haven't heard the triplets put on a concert before…"
Aurelius smiled. "Well, thank you then. My mum used to sing that song to me. I don't remember the words, but otherwise it stuck."
Silver smiled softly, "You're welcome."
"I suppose you could consider yourself lucky that I'm comfortable enough around you to do that," Aurelius said, "I guess it's a matter of trust, partially."
Silver blushed, "I'm honored…"
Aurelius crossed his ankles and leaned his weight back on his arms. He kept looking back over to Silver.
Silver hummed softly under his gaze.
At this point, the sun was sinking, and the glint of light in the clearing had faded to a few orange spots and the shadows of branches. Even though the dark was coming, Aurelius could still clearly see Silver's icy eyes. He sighed a little happy, relaxed sigh.
Silver hummed softly, enjoying this.
Aurelius’ pleased expression slowly turned. He’d dragged Silver into his life and all his problems, and for that he was feeling guilty, no matter how much Silver said it was fine.
