(That could work! So when Anais finds the weird mechanical object she would take it to Lysia? Maybe the two could have met briefly before that?)

(yeah! And I don't mind waiting while y'all roleplay that, so don't worry about rushing it for my sake or anything)
(Alright, that sounds good! I think I'll be able to get a starter up in a few minutes if that's all good!)
(Sounds good!)
The crowds were impossibly dense in the square. Gaggles of sunburned chatty tourists created strangely purposeful paths, weaving back and forth, looping back to the beginning and going nowhere.
It was hard to navigate. Gripping a small grey screen, a young red-headed woman seemed to be searching for something through the maze. She would walk forward, stop, step back, and continue on, head bent over the screen.
Finally, she lifted her head, intent stare landing on a bright little coffee shop front. With the hint of a smile, Lysia made a beeline for the shop, letting the screen fall at her side.
Inside, the coffee shop brimmed with cool-tempered animation. The guests were scattered around the room either waiting for their drinks in casual silence or reclining around the tables, gossiping with like-minded company. A young brunette, who didn’t particularly stand out from the crowd, relaxed in an armchair near the door. Her drink was balanced precariously there on her knee. The room was bright, Anais knew, from the fuzzy sunlight pouring in through the window. Her arm pressed against the glass. She raised the plastic cup to take a drink, just as her attention flickered over to the entrance.
Lysia pushed open the door, stepping into a slightly more organised crowd. Soft chatter swelled up to greet her as the screen vibrated in her hand. She lifted it back and glanced down at it, obediently following its direction to the counter.
She stood out of the casual atmosphere, taking in every detail of the scene with a practiced intensity.
Anais listened, her attention following the sound of footsteps from the opened door all the way to the counter. People entering and exiting through the door was nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing to be too invested in, especially when the new customer just seemed to be ordering their drink. She took another sip of her own beverage.
Lysia paused beside a leather-clad man. She tapped him in the shoulder just as the machine buzzed its disapproval.
Lysia nodded her apology as she slipped past him to the nearest bar stool.
She took a seat and immediately found her attention drawn to a bronze sphere sitting innocently by the beer taps.
She reached for it, setting it down on the counter near the machine. An agitated beeping started and Lysia pocketed the sphere, muffling the machine in her coat.
She stood up and sped out the door, certain she'd gone unnoticed.
Anais had gone back to sipping her drink, easily listing to the soft music in the background and what she assumed to be regular customers at the counter. Her attention flicked over to the unsettling beeping, which had quickly gone muffled. Even stranger. It very well could have been a phone notification bell, but for such an odd sound it was certainly one she’d never heard. Her interest followed the steps rushing out the door. Anais stood, reaching for the door to keep it open so she could follow. She really had no business following her curiosity, but she was finished with her drink anyway. If the person was gone before she had a chance to mention something, there was no harm done, right?
(Well hey)
(Oh hey!)
