He was silent for a long time. Took a small inhale. "I'd never do such a thing," he murmured.

Jane breathed a small sigh of relief and smiled. "I know."
John forced a smile, felt his soul wither inside of him.
Skip?
To when? With who?
Giving chadine present, then babBy?
Wait, I have an idea… Can we go to just when they get home first?
Yea!)
Do you want me to start?
(Sure!)
John held his wife's hand as he walked at her side to the front door of the massive home. He'd been silent since she asked that question.
There was a man standing at the door. He looked relieved when the couple approached. "Mr. André?"
He scrunched his eyebrows, "Yes, how can I help you?"
"I have a letter for you," he said, holding the envelope out to John.
Jane gave the man a polite smile. "Thank you, sir."
He stuffed the letter into his jacket, "Yes, thank you." He spoke briskly, and unlocked the front door to retreat indoors.
Jane looked a bit worried at his sudden change in behavior. She stepped inside and once the door was shut, she gently touched his arm. "John? Is there something wrong?"
"I'm just tired," he answered quickly. "I need a moment to myself, please..?" He requested softly.
She dipped into a light curtsey. "Of course." She left to her room so she could arrange Chadine's gift in a way that pleased the eye.
John fled to his office. He made sure to lock the door. John dropped himself into the chair in front of his desk and peeled open the letter.
John,
I'm sorry, but I cannot stop thinking of you ever since that night. I do hope you enjoy your time home with your wife. She must be the luckiest woman in the world to have you. Well, I can't think of much else to say other than ask when you will be returning to your position.
Oh, one more thing, John. I'm terribly sorry about this, I really am, and I promise not to tell anyone, I really do. I found out just yesterday that I am pregnant.
With regret and love,
Mirelle
Oh sNoZ )
A broken Huh…? Escaped his lips, he didn't even hear his own voice. "Oh, God.."
(Yeah, I know… I kinda hate myself right now it's fine..)
Jane knocked on the door. "John? Are you still busy?"
XD omg )
OH CAN THEIR KIDS MEET ONE DAY AND BECOME BEST FRENDSN )
"I'm busy!" He retorted in an aggressive rasp, crushing the letter with a fist.
(THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME YES)
She recoiled slightly from the door. "Sorry…" Quickly, she headed back to her little 'office-like' room.
Good luck, he wished her silently, feeling his heart squeeze painfully. Stay safe. Come back to me..
The group of taller men swallowed her up, and disappeared into the veil of trees.
Pierre followed the rest of his group as they marched, trying to swallow a knot of apprehension that had formed.

John buried his face in his hands, and began to cry in sparse, shaky breaths. Not even a full year into their marriage and he had already obliterated it..

A British soldier posted on lookout began to call back towards camp, their eyes went wide at the sight of men approaching through the woods. Yet, his throat was slit in a matter of seconds, no chance to save his own men.
