He sat up through the flock of sheep, "Your turn!"
"My…. right. Yes." Snapping out of his daze, Louis copied what Marius had done, seeming to be almost… nervous.

Marius held his bright grin, watching warmly.
He stretched a hand out towards the nearest animal, crouching tentatively.

After a minute, she returned with baked tarts for dessert. She set them on the table with a smile and retreated to her seat afterwards. "Would anyone like anything more to drink?" she asked.
"No thanks." Her husband breathed.
"I'd like some wine." The Captain spoke. He made uncomfortable, strong eye cintaxt with her. It made her feel cold and vulnerable. "Red wine, please."
"Yes, sir," she whispered. A shiver crawled down her spine and she headed back to the kitchen for a new bottle of red wine, as they had finished the one on the table.

Louis flinched at first, when the animal's teeth and tongue grazed his palm, but a soft smile was quickly spreading over his face after that.
"See?" Marius laughed lightly, "Such gentle creatures," the man gushed.
"Oui," he murmured, tentatively scratching behind the smallest one's ears.
Marius reached over and pat Louis's back. "You're making a good shephard,"
Louis let out a quiet snort, gently stroking the small animal's head now. "I doubt it.."
"Mm, prove me wrong," Marius playfully challenged.
Louis rolled his eyes, but he was still smiling. "How am I supposed to do that?"
"Race me," Marius dared with a glitter in his wheat-golden eyes.

(Alright, sounds good! Mind starting?)
Np!)
Peter sighed slowly once all his authorities were gone. He quickly slid his red coat off his shoulders, to finally cool the nervous sweat off his arms and neck.
Jane looked worriedly at John. "I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me to make me say such things…"

"Race me," Marius dared with a glitter in his wheat-golden eyes.
"Definitely. You're losing this one, mon ami." Louis gave a wolfish grin and rose to his feet.
Jane looked worriedly at John. "I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me to make me say such things…"
He rubbed a hand across his face, "Simcoe has issues, Jane, but honestly what the hell? Why would you say that in front of the entire table?" John finally let his frustration pour.

Jane stood frozen, unable to move from where she stood. "I'm sorry," she whispered, not looking him in the eye.
