(Oh lol.)
Tobias glanced up. “Hmph. I hate it too. Why not play another? Like mom and dad’s old Monopoly set.”
"But I still want to win," Rose declared with a shrug. "Play your card."
Tobias rolled his eyes and dropped his cards. “It’s already obvious that you’re gonna win. You always win.”
"Then why even play with me?" Rose questioned as she began to clean up the cards. "If I always win, why would you even try?"
“I don’t know,” Tobias sighed deeply through his teeth. “Because I’m pathetic and I ate losing, that’s why.”
“Well, sorry, dearest brother, but I’ll probably win at Monopoly, too,” Rose teased him as she put the cards back in their box.
Tobias rolled his eyes and yawned again. ‘Whatever. Well, I’m tired of giving you more bragging rights than what you already get.”
“Does that mean we’re done? Because if so, I’m going to ask mom if I can make a mug cake,” Rose declared as she stood.
“Yes. And she’s gonna say no. From the fiasco that happened last time?” He shook his head.
“Hey, itvwasnt that bad!” Rose said defensively.
“You broke dad’s favorite mug!” Tobias exclaimed from the couch.
Rose huffed and turned to stick her tongue out at him. “Hey, at least I didn’t tangle mom’s favorite necklace so badly that it couldn’t be repaired.”
Tobias huffed back. “It’s not my fault it was in the laundry.”
“Which is why you should always check laundry,” Rose declared matter-of-factly.
Tobias rolled his eyes at her, settling into the couch again. “Whatever. Mom’s gonna say no.”
“We’ll see~!” Rose singsonged as she made her way up the stairs. She knocked on her parents’ bedroom door and called in, “Mom? Dad? Hey, would it be okay if I made a mug cake?”
Cameron was laughing at a joke he told, Lilac laying on the floor at his feet looking totally confused. He glanced up once he heard a knock, tilting his head.
“Say again?”
“Would it be okay if I made a mug cake?” Rose repeated herself, smiling at her parents.
Lilah rose her eyebrows and glanced at Cameron, chewing on her lip a little. “Well… I’m not sure if that’s necessarily the best idea, honey… Babe, what do you think?”
Cameron huffed, squishing his face up skeptically. “Whenever you try to make one, it never works, Rose.”
Rose pouted, giving her dad the biggest and saddest puppy dog eyes she could muster. In that moment, she looked so much like her mother that it was uncanny, and Lilah chuckled softly.
“But, Daaaaad…” she whined, sticking her bottom lip out. “Please? One last try?”
Cameron shut his eyes against the look and shook his head. “No, ma’am. You messed up the microwave one time, broke a mug the next, and hurt yourself a third.”
Rose sighed and glanced at Lilah. “Mom, can you tell dad he’s being unreasonable?”
“Honey, he’s being perfectly reasonable. You should listen to him. He is your father, after all,” Lilah said, leaning into her husband’s side.
Cameron smiled faintly, proud of himself for bringing up a good point. He wrapped his arm around Lilah.
“Exactly. I am your father, and I have taken you to the hospital for a burn.”
(Hey, I had a fun idea for an RP and I was wondering if you wanted to join? It basically has to do with shoving a bunch of our OC/RP OTPs in a cabin. Lol.)
Rose sighed defeatly. “All right, fine… I’ll just go find a cookie, then.”
