“Well, no, I don’t think so. We did one that was on the paper a while ago. The one where the guy stole some things from a store and supposedly disappeared. Turns out he was hiding in his mum’s basement, remember?” He asked with a laugh, sipping his coffee again.
"Oh wow! You would think people wouldn't do such crazy things that they knew they would get in trouble for"
She says with a little sigh, continuing to drink her tea, but then stopping, taking a deep breath and looking up at him, daring to speak.
"So…..how have you been? Over these years?"
She says with a little smile.
“There are a lot of people who are just desperate. You can’t blame them.” He shrugged a little. “But the really bad people… they’re just…” He shook his head. His eyes turned to her again as the subject changed and he smiled back a little to lighten the mood.
“I’ve been doing well. College was hard and really lonely but… you know, I survived. I’m still lonely as hell but I have my job and I’m paid really well.”
"Well…."
She says with her signature mischievous smirk, she leaned over to him, ruffling his hair and smiles at him.
"Be lonely no more!!"
She says with a huge smile and a little Laugh. She wasn't ever afraid to make a scene if she was with a friend. Now by herself, she may seem a little shy. But with her friends, something in her mind flips the switch to the "i don"t care" mode.
Met sat up a little as she started to talk, laughing with her as she ruffled his hair, grinning ear-to-ear with joy.
“I won’t, Seo, I won’t.” He liked this. It was sort of like they never were separated and they were always together in a relationship. He wished that was what happened.
"And hey! It's CC to you mister"
She says sitting back down, tipping the cup in circles as the tea rises and falls along the sides.
“Right, right, CC,” Met agreed jokingly, smiling his handsome smile as he watched her sit down, crossing his fingers again over the table.
“What have you been up to? Other than meeting your brother again…”
"Hmm, nothing really. Working at the shop and sleeping. I don't really have any friends, and Ryuu, you know him….well he's in Japan so I haven't had anyone ever since Christmas eve."
She says as she studying the contours of his face, his handsome smile, his blue eyes, his black hair, which was so much of a contrast to hers. She actually about dyed her hair black in korea, but she quickly got over it.
“Oof, just working? I can imagine that, because that’s all I’ve been doing, too. I feel that.” He laughed softly and finished his coffee, licking his lips a little with his smol pink tongue. “Anyway…” He met her gaze when she studied him, smiling a little. “Whatcha looking at, CC?”
Almost jumping out of her seat at the question, her face visibly red and quickly looking away from his handsome face.
"Oh, uh…..nothing!"
She says looking back at him.
His eyes were gleaming brightly as she looked back at him, his lips pursed to stop himself from bursting out into laughter.
“Right, CC, nothing.” He snickered.
"What! Do you not believe me!?"
She says whipping her head back to him, her hair falling in her face when she was trying to be confident, but instead she turned into her normal flustered ditsy self, trying to move all of her hair out of her face, then more falling in her hair.
Met laughed into his hands, then cupped his face in them as he watched her try to blow her hair out of her face. He could still watch her all day and be entertained for that amount of time.
“I definitely believe you.”
"Well….don't because I was lying"
She says finally getting the strands in her face out of the way. There weren't much since her hair was in a ponytail, but the stands that were once shaping her face perfectly were now tickling her face. So what does she do to solve it? She let's down all of her hair.
He lights silvery hair slipped out of the hair tie and gravity doing its job correctly this time as it fell long over her shoulders.
Met chuckled and watched her struggle with her hair, and finally let it down as it shimmered. Her hair was so light and silky, the reminder of just looking at it made his fingers tingle with the feeling his brain remembered. He soon found himself staring, awestruck, by the sheet of pretty hair that curled around her face and down farther.
Finally getting it
where she wanted it, she looked up at Maverick with a nervous laugh, then her face once again turning red at him staring at her.
"Um what're you lookin at?"
She says nervously, though trying to sound confident. Which either went two ways when she would try to be confident. If she was flustered, embarrassed, or nervous, she would fail……horribly. If she was with anyone else but Met….. It worked.
(Maverick?)
“I dunno, the same place you were looking?” He said jokingly, smiling at her lack of confidence and leaning over to gently pat her hand, the only non-awkward way of soothing her that he could think of at the moment. He brushed long locks of hair out of his eyes, which were gleaming brightly with amusement as he smiled his charming smile.
(Oh my gosh, it mustve been autocorrected! I'm so sorry! Roleplaying on my phone is difficult!)
"Wh-what! That…. Whatever"
She says with a sigh, then a little laugh as she took a drink of her tea once again. Then up at him, blushing slightly as his smile.
(Oof that’s okay.)
Met laughed and looked down at his empty cup and plate. He suddenly got the urge to stand and get more, for he was still starving.
“Do you want something else to eat?”
"Oh, okay…… what did you get? I really liked that cake!"
She says with a smile, turning to him as he got up, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
“I got a strawberry shortcake.” He opened his wallet and pulled out a twenty. “Do you want another tea? I can get you it with my order.”
"uh….. if there's that chamomile peach tea if I remember correctly there only……..about a dollar and a half"
She says looking up with her finger on her lips for a second, then biting her lip.
You could clearly tell she was thinking hard about the price.
She had always done that when she was thinking really hard for as long as she could remember.
“Eh, don’t worry about it,” Met hummed, smiling. Something about her just made him forget about how cheap he was trying to stay. Of course he was failing at that as he paid up some money for her tea and more coffee and cake. Though it was worth it to him. The cake was good and there was no price on her smile.
Looking around then back at him, she bit her lip while he paid. She still felt a little bad that he was paying for her, but she took a breath and sucked it up.
"Um….you didn't……thank you"
She says to him fidgetting her thumbs together.
