Kohaku tried to give herself a break from going feral and becoming constantly hostile.
She cought her breath and gave herself a rest. But I'll never stop…. She shook her head, ears still flat. I'll never stop fighting to be free…
But that man she just saw…. Who was he? If he was one of his assistants, they never would've stopped by without giving her some sort of pain.
(warning, creepy alert (i guess))
Drake paced, going to wait in Peter’s office. What am I supposed to do, what am I supposed to do? He glanced over his boss’ desk, no signs of danger that had been implied through the thoughts he had seen. Drake went around, looking in one of the desk’s drawers. Pictures… so many of them… of the guy Drake had seen in Peter’s mind. It was kind of… disturbing, that someone would keep a picture like that of someone. This is so creepy… and wrong… Drake knew he needed to get out of here, needed to report this.
Kohaku slumped. I don't know what else to do… She grew a bit cold, yet as she tried to warm herself up, she couldn't– she used all her energy to try to force her way out of this situation, but she wasted it in all her worthless effort.
What makes me think I can get out of here?? Kohaku shuddered as cold inched through her dull fur. What makes me think I can get Rigel out of here, let alone get myself out of here to get him out??? Her mind spun, the heavy weight of worry pushing her down.
Drake closed the drawer, moving to get out of Peter’s office, when he heard footsteps. Drake immediately searched for a place to hide, diving beneath the desk. He could just barely see out, but he could clearly see as Peter walked in, blood covering his shirt.
Kohaku tried her best to move, but the chains barely let her. It's hopeless…. I can't get out of here…. She fell a bit limp, letting the cuffs hold her up. It was harsh on her wrists, so she stood back up. I can't last long in here… She let out a sorrowful whimper through her tight muzzle, and began to cry a bit.
He watched as Peter unbuttoned his shirt and dropped it on the floor. If I could just reach of and grab it… I’d have evidence to show the police… Peter sat down at his desk, his legs merely inches away from brushing against Drake and revealing where he hid. He heard Peter open up on of the drawers, and Drake could guess it was the drawer with the photos in it. There was the sound of ruffling papers, and Drake bit his lip. Is he seriously looking at that stuff? Ewww…
(My reaction exactly….)
Kohaku closed her eyes, tears draining and running down her cheeks. Rigel…. Mamoru… Daichi….. She shook her head. Why??? I don't understand why my fate is so dark…
(Meanwhile….)
"The best we can do is stay birds of prey and get through a vent or something," Youichi fluttered up and landed on the air vent going into the building via roof.
"Buuuut, it'd make things harder than they need to be if we don't change into a mouse or relative rodent of some sort." Being this big can get us found out pretty quick… His muscles began to strain at being transformed for so long. Gahhhh I need a break, but…. He glanced back at the park blocks and blocks away from where they just disembarked. …I don't think I can make it that far….
It seemed like eternity before Peter got up again, closing the drawer and grabbing another shirt hanging on the wall before walking out again. Drake immediately scrambled up, took out his phone and snapped a photo of the pictures in Peter’s drawer as evidence, and grabbed the discarded bloody shirt before rushing out of the office to get out of the building. I need to get to a phone, I need to call 911.
(….lol he has a phone right there in his hand… >u<)
Youichi took off to get two leaves from the tree they left from. He arrived, and people were crowding around it as more and more noticed him. I don't have time to be famous! He plucked two leaves from a branch and flew off again. However, as he was returning, a strong, hefty wind gust blew him off course, but he kept the stems tight in his beak. No!! He tried to fight against it, but it was no use, and he had to find his way around again.
(I know xD I’m trying to prolong it so a certain bird might be able to overhear the 911 call)
Drake rushed out of the building, carrying the bloody shirt (so a bird might be able to see it) with a vice grip. Need to get to a phone, need to get the police, need to- “Oh wait, I’m stupid.” He snagged his cell phone again and quickly dialed 911.
(Lol XD)
Youichi found his way back (after a couple of people tried to catch him) and was about to fly back up to Mamoru when he saw some stick-statured guy with a white, severely-blood-stained shirt in his hand. What the…? He went down and perched on a lamppost, making sure to stay somewhat hidden. T-T-There's no way he killed both of them!!! Youichi saw it as some kind of form of aggression, and he dove down to attack.
“-I’d like to report a- oh geez-“ Drake stumbled back, dropping his phone and it cracked on the ground, “What the-?” Drake held his arms in front of his face in attempt to shield himself.
Youichi did his best to scare them away. He crowed and such, tearing at the shirt with his well-formed talons. That monster!!!!!
His transforming muscles began to strain, and he finally had to give in.
He flew into an alley bordered by the tower and changed back into his normal kitsune self. That damned no-good…. Would've stayed longer if I hadn't been like that for so long.
He took the leaves from his jaw and sighed. I can't leave Mamoru out of this….
“What the heck?” Drake chased the bird into the alley, only to find a… man? “That shirt was half of my evidence, you might’ve ruined my chances of saving that guy.” He pointed out, but then his brain started to actually process what he was seeing. “Wait- Are you-? One of the…?” He had read about animal people before, in a book look ago in the back of the library…
Youichi jumped at the sound of the man's voice– and what was he even doing? He flattened his ears, snarling. He had to take every human the same way until he knew for a reasonable fact that he wouldn't harm him, or pay the price.
"S-Stay away from me!" He snapped, backing away. All nine of his tails were pushed flat against the back of his legs. "He killed them both, didn't he!?" Youichi saw more red the more he stared at him, his voice wavering more with every word.
“What are you even talking about???” Drake asked, exasperated at this point. What does this man- this animal- this person- what does he want? “And don’t forget that you were the one that attacked me!”
"Don't say you have no idea what I'm talking about!!" Youichi growled, backing away from him. "You came out of that building– Where he took them. You're just trying to hide it, aren't you!!? Covering the crime!!!"
He really wanted to just scald him for being that much more annoying, but he didn't want to stay longer than he needed; he just clutched the leaves tighter in his hand.
(Morning ^-^ )
“You know, it might help if instead of saying ‘them’ or ‘he’ or ‘it’ you told me names and what you’re mad about and why you attacked me, and stopped being so vague! Now if you excuse me, I need to get to the police station with that shirt and my phone!” Drake snapped, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Does it look like I know names!!!?" Youichi barked furiously. "I bet he's the one running this place if that rings a damn bell! He kidnapped these people, Kohaku and Rigel. Rigel's a human being, and… Well, Kohaku is best described as a fox girl." He began to calm down once things straightened out. "The only reason why I attacked you was I thought you were covering evidence of Kohaku's and Rigel's deaths!"
He panted hard. I have to get out of here….
“Fox girl? The feral one?” Drake furrowed his brow, “She’s not dead,” He narrowed his eyes slightly, “And if you would’ve been paying attention, you would’ve heard I was calling 911 before you broke my phone.” He turned, already walking out of the alley, “So if you excuse me I’m going to go get the cops’s help to save that guy.” He’s probably the guy Rigel…
Youichi grumbled a little at his advertion to aggression again. "Well, what about Rigel?" He knew Kohaku was alright for the most part, but he wanted to know if they were both okay. His muscles began to loosen up as he learned the skinny man's intentions weren't to kill nor cover up.
“I don’t know who Rigel even is,” Drake told him as he walked back out onto the open sidewalk to pick up his broken phone, “I’m just an intern.” An intern with telepathy powers… He shook away the thought, looking at his hands and clenching them into fists. He wished he hadn’t seen what he saw, he wished he wasn’t involved at all.
"You mean you have no idea what he's actually like?? Your boss?? You've been working your ass off for him and you have no idea that he's been literally torturing people behind your back!?" Youichi tried to explain it when he had no idea what was going on. I'm just as clueless as this intern….
“How do you even know we’re talking about the same person?” Drake pointed out, even though he knew they were talking about the same person, “Peter has always treated me nicely, and I just do little jobs here and there. It’s not like I keep tabs on him all the time, and it’s not like he acts like a sadistic maniac.” Even though he is, even though I trusted him… Drake shuddered, remembering the photos. He wished it wasn’t true, wished he had never gotten a job here.
Youichi rolled his eyes. "I dunno…" He tried to pull on memories of the man coming and crossing their threshold the first time. "First time he came for Rigel, he nearly killed me to get through to him…" He got an idea as his hand with the leaves tingled, but he didn't want to freak the skinny dude out. "…He was kinda wide-shouldered, super muscular… Wore some kind of white buttoned up shirt and dark pants…" Youichi was at least eighty percent sure he had the right description.
