"Now you just have to sow it together now right?" She asked with a sigh of relief.

he sighed in relief and nodded "yep and then it's gonna be pain meds for the next week and a half." he place the bullet in a container. "mind passing me the needle?" he asked as he found the stitching string

"Yeah," She handed Jas the needle and started to eat her chips again. "I'm going to get some McDonalds because I need more junk food. I'll be right back." she got up and grabbed her phone ordering uber eats. and assigned the address to this apartment. "Alright, I'm back."

"Hope you brought those fries," he said, not looking up from his work as continued to stitch Nick up. He cut the string and sighed "done." he looked down at his hands and flinched at the blood on his hands

"Do you know where the pills are so I can give him some? The pain killers I mean." She asked.

"In the bathroom. Should be in the cabinet above the sink." he stood up and headed to the bathroom to wash his hands of the blood

"Got it," she walked to the other bathroom and got the painkilling pills. "How many do you think he needs!" Kritanta yelled from the other room.

"let's try two for now since they're strong!" he called from the kitchen, scrubbing off the dry blood

"Okay," SHe said softly as she took two out of the bottle and placed them in Nick's mouth. She poured the water as well to help it got down and it went down his throat smoothly. Kritanta stood up and walked over to the bathroom Jas was in. "Need any help?"

He glanced up at her through the mirror "I'm okay, thanks." He sighed and turned to her "You want me dead, don't you?"

"Yeah, a little bit, but Nick help me to realize something. You're the most important person in his life, just how like I love Melissa, he loves you. He would do anything for you. It would kill me if someone took away my lady from me. Then he got me thinking. What would happen if I did that to him? I would make him suffer and I couldn't do that to him. So I have decided to keep you alive, but if you hurt him in any way, that's not when he's on the break of dying then I will tare you apart, rip your guts out, then bathe in them are we clear?" She glared.

Jas nodded "I'll be the first to destroy myself if I ever hurt him. Whatever remains afterwards is yours." He leaned against the sink "would you have killed me if you didn't know I was Nick's fiance?"

"No, I wouldn't have killed you if I knew," She smiled softly. "You good?"

He sighed softly, deciding to let his guard down around the other assassin "Other than the constant naseau that comes every time I relive the moment the love of my life got shot, yeah, I'm doing okay. You?" he asked, taking a step forwards and looking her over "is your lady friend alright? did she make it out before the shooting started?"

"Yeah, I made sure she was the first one out. I hope she got home safe," The doorbell rang. "That must be my McDonalds!" she smiled and walked over to the door paying for the food then setting it on the table. "Want one?" She asked as the man was still bringing in food.

He shrugged and followed her "Sure, I never knew McDonald's delivered." He gave the delivery man a warning glance, telling him to not to question anything he saw and just to move on. "Thanks," he said, taking a fry and nugget. "I'm glad she's okay. We can go find her once Nick wakes up, just to check up on her."

"Okay," the man brought in two more big bags then left closing the door. "I'm so hungry!" She started eating the nuggets first with sweet and sour sauce.

"Gonna save that for later?" he asked with a small laugh "settle down on the nuggets," he walked to the living room and sat in front of the couch, whispering softly the words he always said to Nick since they first met "hello, beautiful, love." he pressed a kiss to Nick's head "when you wake up, your sister brough a hell ton of Mcdonalds."

Kritanta smiled as she ate her nuggets almost done with them.

"and you'll be amazed to know that your sister has a girlfriend now! she'll proclaim her love once we go find her! don't worry, it won't be like our meeting where I stole your first, second and all kisses." he gently took nick's hand and pressed it close to his face, kissing the faint outline that read "love" on his wrist

Kritanta put a ten-piece and two large fries aside for Nick and then started on her fries. She hummed in delight of the taste.

Jas stood up and headed back to the kitchen "Can't get enough can you?" he teased, sitting in a chair across from her "any idea on who shot him? he asked, glancing up at her

"Not a clue. I told my men to step down which they should have, but I guess they didn't listen so someone must be a traitor and when I find them, oh man, you'd never guess what I'd do!"

"what we'll do," he corrected "I'm getting my chance at that son of a bitch who shot my fiance." He leaned back into the chair and ran a list through his head of the men he saw while spying at the casino "did anyof your men raise any flags? any sort of doubt within you?"

"You know there was actually one guy who was against killing you. His name was Rider. I told him never to defy me again and he listened, but he still might be a target. "I'll call Melissa and see if she could look after Nick for us. She is a big fan of Zoltan. She's like my little nerd."
