Theodore didn't respond. He just stayed kinda quiet, not really knowing what to say. He sucked at making conversations and did his best at avoiding any type of conversations. He was usually the type of person to stay quiet unless it was necessary for him to speak.
(Okay so what should happen now?)
(HM. What do you think should happen? Like, maybe there's something happening outside and it interest theo or something?)
(Hmm… well, I think it’s be better if we figured out how to form a relationship between the two first)
(Yes I agree. Do you have any ideas?)
(Hmm… well, they can bond over music!)
(Yeah! Since they both like music. . . bonding over music could be how they form a relationship between them. Great idea!)
(Oki!)
Malekai got bored, so he went to his room, not expecting Theodore to follow, but he wouldn’t care if he did.
Theodore, not wanting to be left alone, scrambled behind Malekai. He slipped in quietly, not wanting to anger his new master. He stood in the shadows just looking around the room, awed on how the room was decorated.
Malekai went over to his closet, grabbing a guitar out of there.
Theodore tilted his head to the side in slight confusion and looked at him curiously. He was also quite impressed on how big the guitar was, but then again it was the size of a Naga and not the size of a human. He had to remind himself to stop gaping as such ordinary objects.
Malekai tunes the guitar, then played a few notes testingly, then started to actually play. It was a country song, though it was hard to tell what it was, because he wasn’t singing.
Theodore listened, and if he was being honest, Malekai actually played. . . .beautifully. He had heard some awful singing and there were some people who couldn't even play a god damn instrument right, but he was afraid of telling them anything because they usually got angry really fast or because he was afraid of hurting their feelings.
"You play well, master."
Malekai flinched, halting. “I- I didn’t expect you to listen..” he blushed some. “Um- thank you…”
"You're welcome, master," Theo said happily. "Was that a country song you were playing? Because it sounded like a country song to me, master."
Malekai nodded some. “Um… do you know the song whiskey lullaby?” He asked.
Theodore thought about it for a bit. He recalled hearing the name of the song, but he had never actually heard the song before. "Not really, master."
Malekai nodded some. “Understandable. It’s kindve underrated…”
"Could you possibly play it for me, master? I'd love to hear it." Theodore said as he came out of the shadows and sat don on the ground. In a way, he looked like child waiting to hear their parent's bedtime story.
Malekai gave a small smile, nodding. He played the intro, then started singing. It was quite a sad song.
(Should I type the lyrics?)
(Go ahead)
Theodore listened as his master started playing once again. He was quite surprised when Malekai started singing. He wasn't expecting his master to be such a great singer. He knew the moment he heard the first verse of the song, it was a sad song.
~She put him out… Like the end of a burning midnight cigarette…
She broke his heart… He spent his whole life trying to forget…~
The music grew more gentle.
~We watched him drink his pain away, a little at a time… but he never could get drunk enough, to get her off his mind, until the night…
He put that bottle to his head, and pulled the trigger… and finally drank away her memory…
Life is short, but this time, it was bigger, then the strength he had to get up off his knees…
We found him with his face down in the pillow… with a note that said I’ll love her till I die…
And when we buried him beneath the willow, the angels sang a whiskey lullaby.
La la la la la la la, la la la la la la laa… la la la la la la la, la la la la la la la…~ He stopped after the first verse.
Theodore was breathless when Malekai stopped. "That was. . . . I'm not exactly sure how to put it into words, but one thing that I do know is you're a great singer, master."
Malekai blushed some. “Thank you…” he said quietly, looking away.
Theodore smiled a bit. "You're welcome, master. I actually have a question for you. When did you start to play an instrument, master?" Theo asked curiously.
