Alexa grabbed the car and sat down in front of his door with her laptop balancing on her knees. She input the card information making sure not to mess up the first time. Thankfully she didn't and reached her hand into the slightly opened the door with his card in hand, "Don't want to see the dress? Make sure I don't buy a so-called 'Lowbrow' dress."
He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Bring it here."
Alexa removed her laptop as she stood up slightly smirking. She reached down and grabbed the computer before stepping into the room. She walked up to where he was and held out his card for him to take. She then turned the computer around showing him the dress.
He glanced at it, then sighed. "It will have to work." He slipped his card into his pocket. "I'm going out. Don't burn the place down."
Alexa rolled her eyes as she closed the computer. She stepped out of his roI'm and walked over to her own, "I won't. Have a bit of faith in me, ya Arse."
"Too hard." He bristled at the nickname, wishing, as he often did, that he could change his name. "No one could trust you."
"Why? Because I'm a Theif?" Alexa asked him hostility lacing her voice. She tried to keep it out, but it was getting difficult, "Well fun fact, I didn't choose to be. So stop judging me for something out of my control."
He was actually startled by what she had said. He would never admit it, but she was right. "Because you're you," was the best comeback he could come up with.
Alexa felt more hurt by that than anything else he could possibly say. She took a breath controlling her temper that threatened to explode once more, "So that's how it's going to be. No matter what I say you're going to just be ignorant. Fine, just fucking go already. I'll just be in my room."
She turned around and stalked into the room slamming the door behind her.
He rolled his eyes. "Good grief." He left. He didn't feel even a little bit bad, although he was startled that she actually stood up to him. That didn't happen really ever. It was a strange feeling.
Alexa let out a long breath as she leaned against the door. She let out a soft sigh and put her forehead in her hands. This was the man she was stuck with until this damn mission was done with. This wasn't going to be easy, but she needed to bite her tongue a little. That was going to be the most difficult part.
Arsen was wandering through a store, looking for food, and basic ingredients. He would never admit it, but he loved to cook, and so he wanted to get some stuff. He realized that cooking would be a problem around that Lowborn, though, so he would have to be careful.
Alexa rank a hand through her hair noticing a slight blackness to the hand once it was through. She let out a long sigh and went to the bathroom, looks like she missed a part of her hair.
(Okay!)
Arsen was not in a good mood when he got back. He had met some rather… irritating people, ones he'd prefer to avoid, and now he was in a foul mood.
Alexa heard Arsen come back and looked up from where she was on the couch. She had been doing some research on the city since she hadn't been in it before along with checking ever so often if the dye had finally set in.
He scowled at the sight of her, still in the main room, and dropped his bags onto the ground. He stormed into the bathroom, fists clenched, face furious.
(Love the name change)
Alexa glanced up to see Arsen go and storm into the bathroom. She saw the bags on the ground and silently went to just move them to the counter. Not touching any of the contents on the inside.
(Thanks lol)
He ran his hands under cold water, then splashed some on his face, glaring at his reflection in the mirror. Those guys had been tough. They had cornered him in the crowd, and he had had to hurt at least one of them before they backed off. It was quite annoying, really. He suspected that they were Commoners, most of them. Good thing they didn't have a Runner with them, he thought, smiling grimly.
Alexa went back to the couch. She had thought she saw some type of injury on Arsen, but figured it was just her head. She let out a sigh and went back to what she was doing.
He pulled his shirt over his head, revealing a few bruises. He had gotten hit a few times, and there were already bruises showing up on his pale skin. He scowled. He could disguise the fact that he was injured from that Lowslum, easily, but still, it would be annoying. He pulled his shirt back on and went out, toward his room.
Alexa looked up as Arsen left the bathroom. She looked back down at her laptop scrolling through different sites trying to get off the tourist track as she commented, "I moved the bags to the counter for ya."
He aknowledged her comment with a grunt, moving over to put everything away. He uncorked a bottle of wine and poured some for himself into a styrafoam cup. "Take whatever you want," he said, heading to his room.
Alexa raised her eyebrow as he grabbed a glass of wine. She made no comment and stood up taking the laptoo with her. She looked around the bags before just grabbing a glass of water and walking to Arsen's room, "Did something happen?"
