(Time skip? To the airplane?)
(Sure, want me to start?)
(Sure, that'd be great, thanks!)
(Got it! Give me a moment and I'll get it up.)
Alexa was looking at the window, chin rested in her palm and her eyes in complete awe as they soared above the clouds. She had been on a plane only two times before, the first when her family moved and she was little and the second when her family got enough money to visit their family back home, and each time it was better than the last. Except for this time, this time was worse. Mainly because she had to hide her amazement she got every time she was on a plane because of the man stuck next to her. If she showed how she didn't do this a whole lot he would probably poke fun and put her down. She glanced over at Arsen smothering any emotion in her eyes.
Arsen was annoyed. He had plugged in some earphones and was listening to music. It wasn't fair that she got the window seat and he didn't. He knew he was being childish, but he didn't care.
Alexa looked back out the window seeing that he wasn't paying much attention. The only reason she had the window seat was because she had made sure to take that specific ticket when they had been given them. She rarely got to do this and so being able to see the cloud tops were a nice bonus.
Not even first class? What did they think he was, some Lowslum? With a scowl, Arsen scrolled through his character information.
Alexa glanced over and read some of the character information. She figured any plane ticket was a good one and overall didn't see a reason to be grumpy.
(Well, she's not a spoiled brat, so… XD)
There was nothing interesting. Just some things about who he was supposed to be. Company information, job, relationships with some important people, and so on. When he got to his job part, his eyes nearly bugged out of his head. The Lowslum was supposed to be the spokesperson, and he was sent as her guard? How could this get any worse?
(Yeah)
Alexa was reading over his shoulder. She got to the part where she was the spokesperson. Interesting choice, but she could work with it. She would need to work on her manners a little though. She made no coment to Arsen just smirked a little.
When she smirked, red filled his gaze. Something bad was going to happen if he didn't leave. Hatred pounded through him. He stood and moved to the back, waiting by the bathroom door, breathing deeply.
Alexa watched as Arsen leave. Did he really dislike the idea of her being the important one that much? She let out a breath and went back to looking oit the window keeping the assingment close.
(Yes, yes he did.)
He waited there for about a half hour, ignoring the strange looks, and glaring at everyone. Then he went back, ignoring her.
Alexa didn't mind him ignoring her. She offered up the file back to him silently though not expecting him to take it.
He didn't take it. He pulled his phone from his pocket and looked up his last name for who he was supposed to be, looking for more information than was provided for him.
Alexa pulled the file back in. She opened it up and continued to read through the file. She wanted to know as much as she could.
(Time skip? To the hotel? I can start.)
(Sure, that would be great.)
When they got to New York and out of the airport, Arsen had to get directions from his phone to the hotel. It was roughly five miles away, and he didn't want to walk that far. But hailing a taxi would take so much work… he glanced at Alexa. Should he ask her? Nah. He didn't need help.
Alexa was looking around the city taking in the new sights. Her body seemed to melt and she almost matched the aura that the city and its people gave off. It was part of her own training as a thief to be able to blend in no matter where she went. She looked up to Arsen with a raised eyebrow seeing his slight indecision, "Need me to hail a taxi rich boy?"
He raised an eyebrow at her. "Of course not." His teeth ground at her tone, but before he could hail a taxi, or even an Uber, a beautiful car pulled up in front of them. "Aria and Norcan Joney? I'm Jason Lincoln. I'm here to pick you up, on the orders of Mr. Jackson."
"That would be us," Alexa confirmed and reluctantly grabbed Arsen's hand. They were husband and wife, ugh, and needed to act like it now, "Isn't that right darling?"
"It is." He gritted his teeth silently. Her hands were cold, and she was much shorter than him, which made it awkward.
Alexa was well aware of how awkward this was and she wanted this to be over with. So she took a step towards the car heading to the back bringing Arsen along with her. She tried to remember how to act and couldn't remember if she opened the door and put their luggage away, or not. She didn't look to Arsen figuring she would remember sooner than later.
