"By not being seen at all," Alexa responded taking a deep breath as she masked both her and Arsen with her invisibility. She was careful as she started to lead him speaking quietly, "Now come on."
"By not being seen at all," Alexa responded taking a deep breath as she masked both her and Arsen with her invisibility. She was careful as she started to lead him speaking quietly, "Now come on."
Arsen had to admit that her talent could be useful. He followed her and slipped out the door. His magic was useless at such times. "What do we do now?" He asked quietly.
"We should check out the hotel to see if we can get in," Alexa responded leading him along. This was where she really got to shine, making escapes and sneaking around.
"It's several miles away," he reminded her. "We could try to get a taxi a few blocks away." Then he frowned. "But they might be back at the hotel room, too."
"Let's check the car first then," Alexa suggested, "They might be at the hotel, but we have to check don't we? Our stuffs there you know."
"I know," he said with a sigh. "Let's hail a taxi." Invisible, he moved away, a few blocks away, and pulled the hood of his hoodie over his head, to hide as much of his face as possible when Alexa would remove the invisibility.
Alexa ruffled her hair up and did her best to not look like her usual self. She kept her head low as she dropped the invisibility once they weren't in sight of the bar. She had a smile on her face, "Go ahead and hail it, rich boy."
"Whatever you say," he grumbled. "It's always me, isn't it?" He hailed a taxi, and it came careening through traffic to the sidewalk, where they waited. Arsen got in.
Alexa had a little smile on as she got in after him, "Oh come on, you enjoy it."
"I do. It means that you trust me." He sent her a small smirk and turned to the taxi driver. "Plaza Hotel, please. And make it fast."
"Whatever you say," Alexa rolled her eyes still smiling. Yeah, maybe she trusted him. The taxi driver started off going in the direction of the hotel.
"Yes, whatever I say. See? That's a sign of trust! You trust me enough to believe whatever I say!" Despite the fact that they could be found out, that the System was on to them, he was somehow lighthearted and happy.
"No, I'm just letting you live in your little fantasy world," Alexa teased him slightly. She had a smile on, "But yes, I maybe trust you."
"I do not live in a fantasy world," he said with a gasp of mock offence. "How could you say that? You hurt my delicate feelings!"
Alexa laughed as she leaned back in the seat, "Delicate is one word for them. But yes your little fantasy world."
"Why must you hurt me this way?" Arsen looked like she had just kicked his puppy. "It's not nice!" He was secretly enjoying this, not that he would admit it.
"Oh, but it's so very much enjoyable," Alexa responded grinning. She would feel bad if she didn't know he was enjoying this, secretly at least, why else would he be responding the way he was?
"Such a sadist," Arsen said with a twinge of fake hurt in his voice. "Why did the System stick me with someone like you?" Then he was quiet. "Or who did they send us at all?" His tone was low and angry.
Alexa was about to give another lighthearted response when she heard his second comment. She let out a sigh and shrugged, "I don't know. But we're getting through this, got it?"
"M'kay. Whatever you say." He was back to his playful mood. "Look at you, so supportive."
Alexa wasn't as quick to go back to it, but she pretended she did, "Yeah, yeah. Anything for my darling husband."
"Really? Anything?" He raised his eyebrows. The tone was suggestive. "You'll even give me a puppy?"
"If I could afford one, I would get one for myself," Alexa responded quickly shutting him down. She didn't expect him to go down any path of that sort, but the puppy was different then what she expected from his tone.
"Shame," Arsen said with a pout. "I guess I'll have to get one for myself. So you can't do everything for me. Why would you lie like that?"
"Because I want a puppy too," Alexa responded slightly smirking at him, "We can share him. Also, I'm not rich like you."
