"I'm not in my right mind," Arsen grumbled, but he slung it over his arm. "Come on. Let's find a shirt ugly enough to clash with this."

"No, you're in your right of mind. That's why we're finding ugly clothes," Alexa responded starting to move along, "And maybe not clash with the shirt, just not your normal style."

"What are you talking about? I'm insane, can't you tell?" Arsen shook his head. "Do you want to rest for a bit? You look a little tired."

"I'll rest when I know we're safe," Alexa responded with a slight glare but forced a smile to stay on her face, "Anyway. You need a shirt."

"We might not ever be safe," Arsen said flippantly. "You can't never sleep, you know."

"I know," Alexa responded brushing off his tone, "But we're not safe while we're shopping now are we?"

"You never know." He shrugged. "There're several ugly shirts over there," he said, pointing to a rack of shirts a few feet away. "Why don't you choose for me? I will never choose something that I don't like."

Alexa nodded and walked over to the shirts. She decided to mess with Arsen's just slightly, "Hawaiian shirts okay?"

"Perfect," Arsen said, rolling his eyes. "That sounds amazing. I'm sure I'd look amazing."

"Great," Alexa grabbed a Hawaiian shirt and one that was much more plain that worked better with the jeans. She kept her back turned to him as she yawned before turning around showing him only the Hawaiian shirt, "How about this one then?"

"Perfect." It was blue, with eye-wateringly bright pink flowers. "I will look amazing in that. The girls will all be falling over me in amazement and awe."

"So this is the one?" Alexa asked with a light laugh. She tossed him the other shirt from behind her back before hanging the Hawaiian one up, "Then there you go."

Arsen caught it with a snort. "I will look amazing in it. You should be prepared to fall in love with me."

Alexa walked over to him yawning. Both to brush him off and also because she was getting tired, "Suuuuure I will. Come on let's check out and get changed."

"See? Even you admit it." Arsen thought back to the time when all they could do was argue, and he laughed to himself. He glanced at the two articles of clothing on his arm, and made a face. "What if I did shorts instead of overalls?"

"That would work," Alexa nodded walking back up to him. She liked being able to just talk and tease him. It felt like a barrier had been lifted between the two so now they could maybe become friends.

"Good. Then I don't have to wear such a hideous combination, I can tone it down a bit. With overalls and a Hawaiian shirt like this, I'll stand out, even in New York." Arsen smiled ruefully. "Let's find some shorts for me, and then we can go and find a hotel."

Alexa nodded and looked around the section. She let out another yawn once Arsen couldn't see keeping her heavy lids open. She hummed as she spotted the shorts, "You want flower print shorts too?"

"That would clash too much with my amazing shirt," Arsen said, shaking his head. He hadn't noticed her yawn at all. "I can't be too handsome."

Alexa let out a chuckle as she tossed him a pair of plain jean shorts. She seemed to be playing fashion consultant for him at the moment, "You mean handsome at all?"

"That hurts!" Arsen gasped. "Right here." He put his hand on the right side of his chest, looking offended. "I can't believe you would say such a thing. After all we've been through! That is downright cruel!"
